Best place we have ever stayed!

This house and location were perfect! The pictures don't do it justice! It was even more beautiful in person! We will definitely stay at this same location in the future! Thank you for sharing your home with us. It exceeded all of our expectations!

House is perfectly suited for large groups. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was adequately stocked. Access and view of the beach is excellent.

Isle of Palms family reunion

The house was great. Twelve of us were very comfortable. The beach was great. The kitchen was well equipped.

Perfect house for a big group!

We loved the house! There was 13 of us and plenty of room and bathrooms for all of us. The view was amazing! The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes! Would definitely recommend!

A nice big home with fantastic views

It was perfect for being able to all be together and to walk right out to the beach to hang out, see the sunrise, and hold the wedding.

Fantastic Family Weekend

This was the perfect location for our extended family weekend. The foyer was welcoming the moment we walked in-- we knew we were in for a great and comfortable time! There was plenty of space to sleep our crowd of nine and plenty of bathrooms. The porch, living room, dining room and kitchen all were the perfect relaxing spots for us to relax and visit. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had any appliances/utensils/kitchenware we needed. The short walk to the beach made it very easy to run back when needed. We would absolutely love to book again!

Fantastic Family House

We loved the house and it was a perfect for my extended family while attending a wedding at Wild Dunes. The house had some general maintenance issues. Also please be aware of the many steps inside the house. Overall the house was fantastic and we would love to stay there again!

Older but well-maintained

An older home that was, at one point, clearly a private residence. Well maintained and clean, though. Only one issue: the main floor is not all on one level. There are two sets of three stairs leading to and from the living room/main dining area. One of our party does not do stairs well, so that did present a minor issue. If no one in a party has trouble with stairs, though, they’ll never even notice.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Isle of Palm in the fall was lovely! Great weather and close to Charleston. The property is oceanfront and great location but in a complete state of disrepair. The furniture is old, deck cushions were torn snd bed spreads were stained. The rental company was great and flexible and allowed us to reschedule because of the hurricane. Would definitely use them again but would choose a different property.

The master bedroom has a beautiful lounging area with fireplace and fabulous balcony overlooking the ocean. Waking up and seeing that is such a pleasant and peaceful way to start your day.The kitchen is well equipped with all kinds of appliances, bowls, dishes, pots, pans, skillets. You name it, they have it.Dining area has a table to accommodate 12 easily. Outside you have a screened in area, with ample seating. The decks are large with lounge chairs to enjoy the ocean view.Our family of 14 enjoyed this spacious home and the spectacular views of the ocean from every window.The only repair needed was the screen in door. Minor thing.Thank you for one beautiful Family getaway.

It was in the perfect location—peaceful and away from the crowds. Each family had their own space and private bathroom, which gave everyone comfort and privacy. There was also plenty of room for us to gather and enjoy a movie or dinner together when we chose to stay in.East Island Rentals was wonderful to work with—responsive, kind, and professional. I contacted them on our second day to let them know the grill only had two working burners, which made it tough to cook for our large group. They responded immediately and had a brand-new grill delivered the same day!The beds were very comfortable, which made for restful nights. The only downside was that the two showers downstairs were quite small and outdated, making it difficult to shower comfortably. One couple opted to use the tub/shower in the room next to them, and our son and daughter-in-law used our bathroom to bathe their two young boys (5 years and 17 months), since their shower didn’t provide enough space either.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and quick service. We would definitely return!

It was spacious with a big central eating/gathering space and the location was perfect. A very minor and easily corrected problem was the inadequate amount of silverware (11 forks- we joked that you had your fork for the day) snd drinking glasses (plus no plastic tumblers). A tougher problem is that the weather stripping for the upstairs slider is worn away- lots of warm air comes through and the poor AC never turns off. It stayed warm upstairs but not bad enough to disturb our sleep. That’s it- we enjoyed our stay very much! East Island Rentals was very responsive and easy to work with!

Front step railing missing, several cabinet doors fell off, 2 closet doors not functional,needs painting inside and out,walkway to beach in dangerous condition, a lot of furniture is in poor shape, needed inside step repaired, mold on outside steps and decks,nails protuding where feeble attempt to replace decking. The only things that saved our vacation was the location(it is terrific) and East Islands Rentals pompt response to the many problms with the house. Would never recommend or return until major improvements were made.

Great Stay with Caveats

The layout is somewhat odd but not atypical of older beach houses that have been renovated/expanded over time. A great house for our large family celebration. Two fairly big negatives: First, the house is very loud - when someone opens the squeaky kitchen drawer to get a spoon, it is audible in the upstairs bedrooms. Conversation in the kitchen reverberates throughout the house. Second, there is a level change on the first floor from the kitchen/entry/bedrooms to the living room/porch/back bedroom involving four separate sets of stairs, NONE of which have handrails. There are more steps without handrails on the back porch. We had an 85-year-old with us and thankfully, she did not fall, but it was a concern throughout our stay.

July 4th beach vacation

This house is in a great location right on the beach, and what I liked about it is that it is off the “beating path” and not right on Palm Blvd where the traffic (both cars and foot traffic) can be crazy in the summer.The house definitely could use some upgrades, but the trade off is you are getting a 6 bedroom home right on the beach for less than half what a “new” recently updated home would command for a week in the summer. The house does have a lot of stairs, and I would have been more concerned if my 80 year old mother would have been with us. The upstairs master bedroom suite is huge. The room has like a “step up” platform that the master bed sits on which can be tricky and easily forgotten in the middle of the night (especially when someone is shooting off fireworks at 2am while you are in a deep sleep!). The house had everything we needed, and we had more than enough room for 10+ adults a couple of the nights. It was hot and humid the week we were there but the room temp never was higher than 75 so the AC was serviceable...for those that like to sleep in 70 degree temp I would bring a fan with you for those July-August weeks.A lot of space so room to spread out for privacy but also large areas for large groups...great screened in porch with dining table was nice. Great panaoramic view of ocean from both upstairs and downstairs.

Reviewer Comments: I was extremely disappointed with this house, here are a list of many items:Air conditioning was OK downstair except for the far room. However, there was little to no air conditioning upstairs.Refrigerator - broke within 1 day and had to be replaced. We had to leave the house for one day because the agents wouldn't come into the house to replace the refrigerator because of the dogs. I should be reimbursed for this lost day. The cabinet door in the kitchen fell off within one day.The table in the living room was held together with a TIE!!!!!!!. Paint came off one of the dining room chairs and destroyed my guest dress. One of my guests fell to the ground after sitting on an already broken rocking chair on the deck.Steps in the front of the house were broken and extremely dangerous. Outside deck was also damaged.Kitchen was old and dirty.BBQ wouldn't light correctly; it was dirty and caked with grease.Master bedroom mirrors were old and stained. Kitchen and dining room tables were damaged. Beach chairs old and rusted.Each room had some damage.I have nothing good to say about the condition of this property. As the agent I can't believe you would allow such a deplorable house as a rental. You have standards and a reputation to keep, and this rental brought it down. I can say one very small thing I was reimbursed for lost food.I will NEVER recommend this house or agent to anyone.
