The location was excellent! Direct access to the beach. Great beach level deck. Enjoyed the screened in porch except for rusted furniture which was a hazard with rusted flaked metal under the tables. Drainage problem in one of the bathrooms from the moment we arrived. There were some maintenance issues with the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & will return to the area.

Family Vacation

Very clean and modern. Front door lock rarely works. We had to finesse the door on the deck to keep my dogs from escaping. That needs to be fixed. The WiFi and cable were out our entire stay up until the last evening and even then one room didn’t work the entire stay. We were offered some money back. But still rather unfortunate. We had to communicate with Xfinity ourselves and the property didn’t do it.

anniversary/another year of college completed celebration

We celebrated our 25th anniversary on this trip as well as our son and his best friend finishing their Junior year of college! Great location and close enough to Charleston that my husband and I went out to dinner for our special day! The view is amazing and a great time of year with very few people on the beach. Loved that we could walk from the house to the lighthouse in a hop, skip and jump away!

Everything you could ask for!

Wonderful stay! Location was great, right next to the nature preserve so brief walk to a fantastic lighthouse view. Property manager was super attentive to our requests and questions. Highly recommend.

Lovely beach home

This home was one of the best beach homes I have stayed in. It was clean, fully stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of space for our family, and lots of parking. The only downside was the public beach access at the end of the driveway. It was not bad during our stay but that could potentially make the beach crowded during the summer months. I would stay here again!! Thank you!!!

Exceptional Locations

Great oceanfront house. Very private. Easy check-in/check-out. House was clean and nicely appointed. Generous deck space. The place & location were lovely. Lots of steep stairs, so not great for older folks (older dog in our case) which presented a bit of a challenge when frequently taking out the pets.

Family Fun!

Beautifully designed home with upscale style! Extra thoughtfulness in providing games for the kids, comfy throws in the living room, etc. The kitchen was fully equipped for family style dinners with an ample supply of dishes and silverware. I highly recommend this property!

Mom’s 70th pandemic birthday

We couldn’t have had a better time at this house. We are local and wanted to surprise my mom, give her a few days of ocean views to wake up to and it couldn’t have been more special. The owners even left her a birthday card!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Anniversary Trip 2020

We visit Folly every year since my wife and I were married in 2013. We have since brought our two kids and a friend to enjoy what we love about the town. This is the first time we have stayed at this individual property and absolutely loved it!

Amazing

We could not have been happier with our stay at 1 Summer Place. It was perfect! Starting with the realtor - who was fantastic from the second we booked. They were so gracious and attentive with all of our questions. The house - is just beautiful! This is our second trip back to Folly Beach and this time we spent the entire time at the house rather than sight seeing (due to current COVID conditions). It was the perfect house for that. So well stocked! (Better than any other house we’ve rented), super comfortable, beautifully decorated, so much to do with volleyball court, cornhole, sandtoys etc., and so many gorgeous places to enjoy meals and listen to the sounds of the ocean. We were so sad to leave. We will definitely return here!

Perfect beachfront. Loved the screened in porch and large deck for enjoying the sun!

This home is nicely equipped with a large table for family dinners. The living area had ample and comfy seating for sitting around playing games on a rain day. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

Loved Our Stay As Always!

As always, our stay was terrific! We love that deck down by the water, even in the cold! 2 things: When we arrived, we found 3 pair of men’s slacks in the master closet. They are not ours. Also, the master bath sink is very slow to drain (no biggie)! We will be back!!

Perfect Getaway!

We spent a great week in this home with our adult kids, their spouses, and our two young granddaughters. The 4-year-old was thrilled with the upper bunk, and that room was perfect for a family although it lacked storage. We spent a lot of time outside, of course, and on the screened deck. Who can resist the beach right outside your door! My husband and I loved the master suite and it's deck. From booking to check in, to a needed a/c service call - everything was handled easily, quickly, and professionally. Great stay!!

Wonderful home

This was the first trip for my family that was not to the oceanfront home we just sold and had owned for almost 50 years. This was an incredible "new" experience for us all and such a gift.
