We enjoyed ourselves so much, all 12 of us! Such a comfortable house for a big family, and well suited to all age levels. The kitchen has everything anyone would need and we cooked often. The location is convenient to the beach, being only a block away. Very clean and comfortable. The porches are a huge plus, with some cozy places to get away and read or just have quiet conversation. We thoroughly loved our visit to Isle of Palms.

IOP Reunion

House was very clean and well equipped for our needs. Location was an easy walk to the beach. Beds were comfortable but on the softer side. Some furniture was worn but serviceable and comfortable. Several bedroom tv remotes needed fresh batteries and one tv was too dark to view, not a problem since everyone had their phones. One garage door was jammed open and would not close. Overall the property was more than acceptable for our needs for the week.

Citadel Celebration

From the moment we walked into the property, we felt at home. The views, the open spaces, the bedrooms, and baths filled our needs perfectly to celebrate our son’s Citadel graduation. The kids hung out by the pool, our son and his Citadel buddies were on the rooftop and the rest of us were on the main floor in the side porches and inside in the great room. We will definitely book this place again in the future. It was a wonderful location to crest new memories.

Great size and location for group/families!

We loved this house - it was perfect for our group which was three families. The bedrooms and bathroom layouts were ideal for our group size. We also loved the big great room of kitchen, dining and living room with ample outdoor spaces and multiple deck levels to enjoy the fresh air. The property mgmt staff always provided exceptional customer service during every interaction. We also loved the close walkable proximity to the beach, which was ideal to watch the sunrise/sunsets. The top lovel crows nest at the house was also a great place to catch them as well!!

Family vacation

We rented the house for a family vacation. The house was very nice overall. Pros- the elevator, the garage, the large open gathering area. Also, the beds were comfortable, house sleeps 14 in 6 bedrooms (2/2/4/2/2/2). Master bedroom was HUGE. Rooftop area was good for sunning/hanging out with a little ocean view and a small fridge. Kitchen Ice maker was awesome, two dishwashers, and wine fridge were handy. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Cons- we had two golf carts and 3 cars, parking was a bit of a shuffle. Appliances were a little outdated, there is a lack of serving bowls for family dinners. Most interior doors (like the bathrooms) are missing locks…awkward. There are at least 30 light switches on the main floor, we never did find the pool lights! Other things- there is a strict noise ordinance but the landscaper was leaf blowing at 7:30 am. The pool guy showed up twice unexpectedly to dump 200lbs of salt in the pool and other maintenance. The exterminator showed up for a termite inspection. The management company came unannounced because the city meter indicated there was water running constantly (there wasn’t) but they checked all possible sources. To me, I felt like they were all spies! Bring games, there isn’t much other than puzzles. The house could really benefit from a ping pong table in the garage, plenty of room.

Problem

We loved the house. Fit our family great. We had one big problem. The pool was filthy. Very disappointed. You knew we were coming so I don’t understand. The children had one day of swimming taken from them. They came very early and cleaned it. Leaves were all over the pool and I was under the impression they would clean it twice. So we will never go back to this house.

Tired house with inattentive management company

This property could be so nice. Unfortunately, the home is showing its age from all of the rentals. Paint peeling in areas, beat up and chipped pots and pans. (we went out and bought two new pans for the house as the coating was worn off all that were there. The main issue is with the management company East Islands Rentals who just made excuses for everything. They took no responsibility for anything at the house. The keys we were given in were wrong. Not that big of a deal. There was no hot water in the kitchen which meant washing dishes in cold. All remote batteries were dead. We had to replace them ourselves. All those things we could live with. But the pool was totally green with algae and unusable for the first 4 days of a 7 day trip. We literally had to go to the pool store ourselves and spend $350 on chemicals and start treating it ourselves to get it swimmable for the last 3 days. Management stopped returning our calls entirely. I feel sorry for the owner who's property they mis-manage. see web site eastislandsrentalssucks dot com for story and photos. Also look at past reviews. The pool has been an ongoing issue that the management company was fully aware of. But instead they said "that's the ways its supposed to look.... we think is has a green tile bottom?" really???

Algae in pool, broken toilet seat, toilets don't fully flush, had to unclog bathroom sink, no information for tv system, front door lock is confusing. Building structure is great but would have expected better upkeep for the price.

Lovely December Retreat - Spacious, Clean and Well Equipped.

We had an amazing time at this house. IOP was beautiful and the weather was surprisingly warm. We had the pool heated and it was worth it for us. The property managers were very responsive to the small issues we had which was fantastic. It's a beautiful, spacious house, and is very well equipped. We had several family dinners in the home and had enough space for everyone. The only tiny disappointment was that the fireplace was not useable for guests, which would have been very cozy during the winter stay. It's just a good thing to know. We would absolutely stay there again in any season. I enjoyed morning tea on the roof top patio every morning.
