The location was amazing. Close to tons of great restaurants and bars, and right across the street from the bridal party for the wedding we were attending. The apartment itself was pretty cool — spacious and well decorated. The kitchen seemed well stocked — pots, pans, measuring cups.
The listing says they have parking and we were given instructions to park right next to the unit. However, there were already cars parked where we were supposed to be. George responded promptly, suggesting we try the other side of the unit, and if that was full (it was), to go across the street. We did that, but there was a broken down fork lift blocking most of the driveway. We could just squeeze past it in a midsized SUV, but I was nervous I’d be scraping paint off at some point. It was moved after a couple days. George apologized for parking being a mess. However all the vehicles in the first parking spaces were for other units that they rent, so it seems they overpromised on parking being available. Or it is just first come first serve.
After one of us showered, someone in the downstairs unit started banging on the door saying that water was leaking into their place. Two guys came to our unit very quickly to investigate, and said that they’d be back later to fix it, while we were at a wedding. I messaged them three times over 24 hours to see if it was fixed. No response until we were checking out. Things break and it’s not a big deal, but the lack of communication was frustrating.
