Beautiful house and excellent location

Lady Banks is a beautiful, clean house in a location that is just two blocks from King St. and near lots of restaurants and shopping. It was the hottest week of the year (100 degrees one day) and it was so great to come back to a house with excellent air conditioning. The master bedroom is the best - large with a sitting room and outdoor porch and a large bathroom with both a shower and soaking tub plus large walk-in closet. The other bedroom was fine, bathroom and shower along with the bedroom. We needed to communicate with the Stay Duvet team, and they were very responsive. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware and such; lots of books in the library room. The television is one that streams from your own account, no local programming at this time. The driveway, as stated in the description, is tight for large vehicles, and you may not be able to open doors on both sides while parked, but we used the parking spot and used Uber to get around or just walked. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend the property to others. Small issues with the property were referred to the Stay Duvet team, none of which were deal breakers.

A lovely stay

Overall, a wonderful experience in a historic yet nicely updated and maintained living space. Two beautiful upstairs rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The third bathroom with shower is located on the first floor and serves the living room, den, and kitchen areas. Comfortable beds. Nicely appointed kitchen. A/C works great. The living room/sitting room furniture is not very comfortable. There is a lot of street noise (both from people and vehicular traffic) late into the night likely because the home is on a busy intersection very close to popular nearby destinations. The only truly negative is the washer and dryer: The washing machine door seal has heavy mildew especially at the top. The dryer has finicky dial settings and issues with starting even after the service person checked/repaired it.

Lady Banks is the place to stay!

This is a great property. It has the Charleston charm, and the location is absolutely perfect. It is within walking distance to everything. This place is great for a family and/or for a couple getaway to stay. Property management was very responsive to our requests. Extremely timely. Property felt safe and secure. The parking spot is a huge plus especially if you have a car and want to travel to the beaches. Parking on the streets in Charleston is not ideal and easier to just park in a garage. We will recommend this place to family and friends to stay if they visit Charleston.

Wonderful spot in Charleston

This is a beautifully restored property that is a gem. Comfortable places indoors as well as on the patio and second floor porch, where we enjoyed a cocktail while watching the sun set.Having a parking place certainly makes life a bit easier.Like most urban neighborhoods, one has to be aware of your surroundings but we didn’t have any issues.Would recommend to friends and hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the future.

Wonderful place to stay in Charleston

We just got back from our trip to Charleston and the Lady Banks house far exceeded my expectations. The house was very pretty and the bathrooms nice and updated. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was very clean. We enjoyed coffee outside in the mornings in the little garden and it was a perfect for walking down to King St and being able to get anywhere you wanted to go. We all loved our stay there.

Perfect Home Base for Touring Charleston

The Lady Banks house was the ideal location for touring Charleston. The beautifully restored and furnished traditional Charleston home was spacious, modern and still had the ambience of the city's history. We mostly walked but Uber rides were close and reasonable as well. Stay Duvet provided all of the support and amentities we could ask for. This rental is highly recommended.

Nice stay in Lady Banks!

My sister and I spent 3 nights in beautiful Lady Banks! Location was convenient to many restaurants and bars. The property itself was charming, clean and very well equipped had we wanted to prepare anything!! Really comfy beds too!! The decor is lovely. Really nice stay!

Perfect Charleston retreat

This was SUCH a great place to stay for our Charleston weekend. The home is beautifully appointed, taking into account comfort, special features and touches, and a Charleston ambiance. There were multiple spaces to sit and relax after our downtown strolls. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were excellent. This is a nice location - easy to get to all conveniences and of course the fabulous King Street. THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful home with us !

Check in process & location

The house is not one block away from King street. It is blocks away. I never received the email to be able to check in. I tried to send a message but did not receive a response for hours. Then when I called the person I spoke to was condescending. I could have been angry when spoke to her considering the situation but I chose to be polite. She really had nothing to do with the fact I did not receive the email but I also have nothing to do with the fact that others may rude to her. As a person who paid a lot to stay at the house, I didn't appreciate her treatment or the lie about the location. After all, we paid for a location that was not true!

Amazing Stay!

Lady Banks proved to be a wonderful place to enjoy our stay in Charleston! The home is incredibly spacious and has such a warm, welcoming feel to it. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. And that master bath... wow! There is an awesome bagel shop steps from the house and a great bakery another block away. The location turned out to be very convenient... about two blocks from King Street. We could get to a long list of shops & restaurants in minutes. One word of warning, there is a fire station down the street. So you can count on hearing sirens at least once a night. But I would still absolutely stay here again!
