    Cozy Compound

    We had a great several days stay with extended families. Everything was just as described and very clean. David is gracious and helpful. Check out was easy and location was close to the beach and the Charleston. The perfect spot for larger groups with space for group activities as well as alone time!

    comfortably hosted my group of 11 guys, was 10 minutes to everything you'd want to go to in CHS. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Perfect for our large group

    The property was perfect for our 14 person bachelor party as it provided a place for everyone to crash at the end of each night. It’s right in between Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston so you never have to go far when out exploring. Would definitely rent this place again in the future!

    The best set up!

    We chose this location for my best friend’s bachelorette trip in Charleston! The location was perfectly located between the beach and downtown. We loved that we were all together but at the end of the night could go our separate ways to sleep. We had plenty of space and privacy!

    Unique place that is terrific!

    We typically rent one large house for our family gatherings but this arrangement with the three separate living spaces worked amazingly well for our family including my very picky mother-in-law. Thanks so much Dave for using your ingenuity on creating such a unique environment. I’m sure we will be back when we come to visit family in Charleston.

    Great location and fun property

    We booked for a friends trip to Charleston. Place was great! Really chill outdoor spaces, grilled, watched football on the outdoor TV, had a fire in the fire pit. David was very responsive and a great host. Location was great. 15 min to Charleston or folly breach.

    Great stop for a larger group.

    We had 11 people with us and rented all three units. It was an awesome space to set up outside games and hang out. David was great to work with and super responsive. Definitely work checking this place out!

    Perfect for bachelorette getaway

    The Island retreat was everything we expected and more! The check-in and check-out process was so simple, and communication with the hosts was easy. The three separate “homes” gave everyone enough room to have their own space. I highly recommend staying at the island retreat!

    Amazing stay

    We had an amazing time at David’s with our group of 15. David was super communicative and all of the houses are so clean and comfortable. Especially love all the outdoor hangout areas. We will definitely be back!

    It was perfect! Only thing it lacked was a scrabble board!

    We rented both of the cottages as we were there for a family event. One of our daughters and her 3 grown children stayed in one and my husband and I in the other. The setting for the two was ideal. We could walk across the yard to see each other but didn't need to accommodate different sleeping schedules. Since we have been going to the area for almost 50 years, we have family and friends there and it was a great place to entertain and visit with them. David appears to have anticipated almost every need a guest would have. Everything operated beautifully, the places were both spotless and he was a wonderful host. The location is perfect also, midway between Charleston and Folly Beach. It met all of our needs nicely. I would definitely recommend it and I can guarantee we will return at some point.

    Amazing!

    We rented out 2 of David's separate units for a bachelorette party. The spaces were incredibly well kept and full of items that were super helpful to travelers- towels, beach towels, cooking supplies, bluetooth speakers in each unit, memory foam mattress toppers for the pullout couches/ futon, some bathroom supplies, paper towels, and cups.plates, etc. It was fully stocked! David was incredibly helpful when we were there. We asked for dinner and bar recommendations and he gave us great advice. He even cooked us a low country boil for one of our dinners! I would HIGHLY recommend renting out either of his gorgeous units! Great time!!
