This is our second time staying here, and the house was just perfect for my family. It offered a great fenced in backyard for our pups, and 3 bedrooms to accommodate everyone comfortably. The location is the best. Just a few blocks from everything on Folly as far as restaurants, bars, and shops. The beach was just a short walk away as well. We will certainly return!

A slice of heaven in Folly!

This is my second year staying in Folly, which is one of my favorite beaches! 3 blocks from the ocean, and 2 blocks from Berts Mart and Chico Feo, the hippest bar around! Close to everything and a fantastic beach to call home for 2 weeks. The house was perfect! Immaculate, spacious 3 bedroom, with a nice outdoor, fenced in space for the pup. And, I have to say that it was a pleasure dealing with the rental company and owners, who were kind enough to accommodate sudden change in plans due to Hurricane Debby, which unfortunately cut our trip short. But this place is fantastic and I would definitely bring my crew- and fido- again!

Folly Beach Fun

Clean and wonderful beach house - perfect size for small family! Great location - just short walk to the beach and restaurants but far enough away from crowds and noise at night. Fantastic place to relax and enjoy Folly Beach!

Place was great. Location is wonderful. Fenced in back yard gave lots of privacy and room for everyone to just hang out. Place wasn’t perfect but if we all go back we will try to use it again. For the price it was great.

Great Value for Folly Beach

We enjoyed our stay and absolutely love Folly Beach. The cottage was great location, few blocks from the beach, restaurants, bars and cute shops. The outside furniture could use a little TLC but overall the communication was good and we were happy with our stay.

The location was great. The house was not super clean when we arrived. Sand was still all over the floors, trash was still in one of the bathrooms, black stuff was on the couch and bar chairs, there was food and a piece of broken coffee mug in the bottom of the dishwasher. Several of the outlets were upside down and loose, our charges kept falling out. There was no broom or mop and the cookware was old and nasty. I will say that the property manager did bring a broom, mop, and new cookware. They offered to come clean the next day but by that time I had already cleaned. There was so much dog poop in the back yard that my husband had to go out and pick it up just so that our dog could go to the bathroom without us worrying about her or our toddler getting into or stepping in it. Again, the location was great but the the cleaning service did not do a good job.

Great little cottage within walking distance to the beach!

We had a great stay at this little cottage just a couple of blocks from the beach and Bert's market. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were very good. The house needs a few updates here and there but it was all perfect for a long beach weekend. Quite neighborhood, very easy check-in/check-out, not too many house rules. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice beach cottage

The management company was excellent and very responsive The house is very close to town and walking to restaurants, bars and the beach is easy and convenient. The house was clean upon arrival other than the garbage was left in the kitchen. The house is dog friendly and that is a plus. The fenced backyard is great for dogs but should be fixed up so the people can enjoy it too. It is a great spot with alot of potential but it is not kept up and there are no lights and it was not a place to sit at night and I would have loved to use it more. The grill was dirty and is very small so it really wasn't something we could use. The outside walkways and patios could use a good pressure washing. The kitchen is great and we had everything we needed to cook at home. The beds are comfortable. Overall, enjoyed this house and our stay and happy that Ian didn't ruin it! It is a nice beach cottage and we love Folly Beach.

It's not Kiawah

We are used to staying on Kiawah island when in the Charleston area. All homes there are privately owned and very nice. This was much more casual. And the traffic was terrible. The kitchen appeared to be updated. Bathrooms were quite dated. Furniture didn't match, and although there was a yard, it was pitch black in the evenings. There were some motion detector lights and battery operated that didn't work, so outdoor dining was not possible. We thought the location was ok, however people parked everywhere: front yard, side yard. We had to park off site at times. I expected more for what we paid, The property manager messaged us and was available to assist.

We had a great stay at this property. It was clean and well stocked for what we needed. The location is perfect and communication with the company was impeccable. There was a situation that was completely out of the rental company’s control but they did everything they could to make everything right. Don’t hesitate to rent this property.

The Best Location!

Starr’s Folly was easy to find and had great parking right at the door! It’s an easy walk to the beach and since it only takes about 5 minutes it was perfect! There is Bert’s ( I think 2 blocks away) to grab a sandwich or other necessities. For our week shopping we went to Harris Teaters about 7? Minutes by car. The house is very well stocked with glassware, silverware and cookware. Fresh seafood from Crosby’s was our go to when eating at the house. Our dog Lucy was very happy to come along and have a fenced in yard to run around in! We had a really relaxing time and hope to go back soon! Kerry, Chris and Lucy 🐾
