Great spot near the bird sancturary

We were 4 friends of a certain age and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Northstar. Our goal was to be as close as possible to the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve which NS was perfect for. Our only complaint was the lack of shade on the deck until late afternoon. We brought our own unbrellas, but they didn't hold up very well in the wind. Would definately rent again.

Sweet and Salty

Great house for a crowd upstairs. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Back porch ocean very better than advertised. Ground level apartment smells musty and floods in a storm.

Family Vacation

This was the first time we have taken a family vacation in quite some time. Unfortunately, it was not an enjoyable stay and became more work than a vacation. The location was nice. The house was not very clean and we had a lot of bug problems. When we alerted the management company, we were informed that they were aware of a bug problem that had been treated a few days prior to our arrival. The bugs were all over the house (termites, spiders, carpenter ants). We were concerned for the wellbeing and safety of our children with the amount of bugs. The management company, after seeing the property, recommended that we relocate somewhere else given the amount of bugs in the home. We had to be separated from our family for one night and then had to take the next day to go through the hassle of moving everything, losing an entire day of vacation. Although we appreciated their willingness to find us a new place, we ended up having issues at the following house as well. The beach access was gone because of beach maintenance, we had to walk a great deal with littles ones and could not even enjoy the pool or outside of the new house because mosquitos were so bad. We were really disappointed with our lack of a vacation with everything that had transpired. Originally the property management company had offered to help us move our stuff to the new location but when asked, they asked what we actually needed help with. It seemed that it was just a polite offer made versus an actual offer.

Folly Beach Rental

We really loved the main level of the home. The downstairs suite was very musty so we chose not to use it. Instead one member of our party slept on the couch.

Charleston Girls trip

This was a perfect property for our group of 10. There was plenty of space to hang out in the kitchen/sitting area as well as the porch. The beach was a short.walk and having the beach chairs delivered was perfect. The home was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. The only negative which was not anything to do with the host is that it can be a challenge to get uber/lyft reliably out there. I would highly recommend getting in touch with Cool Cab on Folly Beach for a family owned business to transport to and from downtown Charleston and/or airport.

Family xmas

Daughter and family live in Ladson/Summerville so myself, husband son wife sister and her adult children came down to celebrate with them. It was perfect we had beach time and family time. Weather could have been better but we left -10 In Missouri so can’t complain

Perfect Girls Trip!

I booked this house for a girls trip and it was perfect! It fit 8 of us comfortably (with two in the apartment that is accessible from the side of the house. There were also 2 couches that people could have slept on. The deck and the views were beautiful. The house was cozy and nicely decorated. The owners left shampoo, conditioner, lotion and make up wipes samples. Check in and check out instructions were clear and the owners answered all of my questions quickly and were very helpful. The $250 credit covered our beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Quick 30 min cab into the city. The main strip in Folly Beach us a bunch of great restaurants and some fun bars. The house was just far enough from the Main Street that we had to grab a cab. Ubers we’re hard to come by that far out on the island but we called a local cab company which worked well. Pre-booking Ubers (especially to get to the airport) also worked well. It was a great location because the beach is beautiful and was quiet this time on year (late Sept. ) but the weather was still gorgeous and the “downtown” in Folly has a lot going on and has a fun beach town vibe, while you’re also super close to Charleston. They were generous with their check in and check out times since they were done cleaning early and didn’t have anyone else checking in the day we left. Would definitely stay here again!

Good space for a large group

The house provided adequate space for pur group of 8. It was walking distance to the public beach access & the Morris Island Lighthouse & Preserve. We ran a diffuser with essential oils in MIL unit because it was a bit musty. A couple elderly adults had trouble navigating the step from the sliding glass doors to the deck but overall the house worked well for our family.

Beautiful view, clean house

We had a wonderfully stay in a very clean beautiful house. All the facilities in and around the house was very good. On the downside were, the step going outside can sneak up on you if you do not expect it. Had one person had her head busted and another had a trip down that outside step. Another thing on the outside porch was that some of the chairs is torn and could not be used. The propane for the grill was out. The same person who busted her head got a fine due to her car pointing into the wrong direction (just a heads up for future renters). Other than the few downs, the ups over weighs the downs.

Folly Fun

The house was great. The downstairs unit was a little musty. I needed to wash my clothes even if I didn’t wear them. But, the view from upstairs was amazing. Not sure if our family will stay there again because of the condition of the basement unit
