Great spot! Nice quiet home with a super view of the sound. The only “hitch” was the fact that the remote for garage door was not available. This resulted in one of us having to stay in the garage while the other backed out the car. When the car was clear of the garage door, the person in the garage would press the wall mounted switch to close the door and the proceed upstairs to walk out the front door, lock the door then go down the stairs to get in the car that is now waiting outside the garage. This process was very cumbersome. Apparently, guests have left with the remote for the garage door one too many times, resulting in this consequence. This did not ruin our stay, but I would highly recommend allowing guests to have the remote and follow through with the charge of 100 for taking the remote at the end of their stay.

Just the perfect place to travel with family. We enjoyed having the pool and the back pier to fish from. It was only a short walk or ride to the beach, close to all the restaurants in Folly and only a short drive into Charleston.

Senior Trip

Stayed at Water’s Edge for my daughter’s senior trip - three best friends and moms. It was a good central spot for us to spend time at the beach and visit downtown Charleston. The house was clean, which is very important, and spacious enough for us to do things together, but also gave us our own space too. We didn’t have any issues, and enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach was a little farther than we would have preferred, and at times of day with heavy traffic and no sidewalks through the neighborhood, we had to be alert. We made the walk each day,just planned accordingly.

Great spot!

The unit is even nicer than the photos! Right next to pool and a dock to water where you can take kayaks out or fish. Short walk to downtown and ocean which is nice being a little bit away from the craziness. Beautiful place!

Family vacation

Great property with nice views, easy access to town shops, eateries & beach (10-15 min walk). Clean property, plenty of room for a family of 5. Fully stocked kitchen & beach/pool toys. Beautiful morning sunrise views from the porches! Rented a golf cart for the final days to explore the island. Highly recommend!

A nice stay

We enjoyed the condo and everything was walkable (all restaurants, shops, beach). There were lots of provided necessities like pool toys, kayaks etc which was a nice extra. The downsides were that the stairs were a killer. Having beautiful high ceilings means more and more stairs. Also, the garage was way too hot to play pong in, so we missed out on that. We couldn't sit on the "closed in" balcony as one side was missing a screen and there were a bunch of wasps stuck on the balcony. Lastly, the tv in the living room was USELESS. Basic cable with no ability to sync to wifi/youtube/hulu? A major bummer to say the least. In general, a nice stay, thanks for sharing your home.

Water’s Edge

This was a nice townhouse with good location and proximity to the beach. Very clean. Also close, within walking distance, to local attractions like the shopping on Folly Beach and restaurants. We would definitely go back.

Highly Recommended!

Perfect location! Can walk to the beach and restaurants and then only a 20 min ride to Charleston! Place was full of all the amenities that you can think of. Only downfall is parking. Garage is real tight and only room for one extra vehicle so could not have additional friends in the area come visit. I would definitely stay here again!

Very clean townhouse in a quiet neighborhood. Walk to the beach or into town.

Great place to stay. It's very clean and the beds are comfortable. You can walk everywhere and it's an easy 15-20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. There was a glitch with the door code but the property manager fixed it promptly. The bikes, as mentioned in another post, were in disrepair but the owner rented a couple of bikes for our stay.

Great Spot, some issues with amenities

Debated places available closer to the beach, but like this place due to space, and some of the amenities. Mainly bikes, beach chairs and the ping pong table. Bikes (as many others said) were in very bad condition, so didn't trust anyone to ride them. I tried but steering was unreliable and unsafe. Garage where the ping pong table is stored, had a pet stench - not sure if previous renters had cats, so didn't want to spend time playing ping pong. Beach chairs were usable, but old, and flimsy. with many rental options, property companies and owners need to be honest with amenities when consumers are making choices based on these amenities. It's a bit of false advertising and frustrating.

Location, location, location.

The property was lovely and we enjoyed the view of Folly River. The only problem we had was the tow truck company. They were aggressive, rude, and unfriendly. My car was towed without warning the day after arrival and soon after unloading groceries to the front door. We had to track down the tow company, make an appointment and they were late. The tower bragged about all the money he makes ($240 per car) and demands cash. He then said, “It’s awful but it’s lawful.” A warning should be given.

Girlfriend southern comforts

Everything about this property was great. Very clean, kitchen well stocked, perfect location to walk to the main street. The only issues we had was that the owner should upgrade their bikes because they were really not rideable, and the beach chairs need upgrading as well. The beds were super comfy the linens were great too.

Easter Break Vacation

This house had everything we needed and then some. We drove from PA so packing light was helpful! The house is in a friendly community and right next to the pool which my kids enjoyed. It was easy to park our car and walk to everything we wanted to see in Folly Beach. It was clean and beautifully decorated. I had to contact someone with questions and such and their response was prompt and helpful. We had a great time in Folly Beach and the Charleston area, thank you!

Waters Edge

Parking was a little issue since the housing is VERY close together. Our refrigerator was not working but one was added for our use. The view is nice but our screen was falling down and allowed bugs in. Overall it was a very good VRBO.
