The little blue cottage was perfect for our time in Charleston.The kitchen was completely equipped with a full size fridge and everything we needed.The cottage was very clean and tidy.Off-street parking was perfect. One note, the main bed is in a loft with a slightly steep ladder. The ladder was super sturdy with nice wide steps so we were very comfortable with getting up and down.We were very happy with this property and would def recommend it.

The Blue Cottage was very welcoming with coffee, dishes, soaps, and shampoos. It was a smaller than expected space, but cute nonetheless. The couch was not very comfortable, we had to pull it out as a bed to make it more comfortable for movie watching. The loft bed was good even in the tight space upstairs, but note-to-self, don't rent a place with an upstairs bed, loft or otherwise, after a half marathon.

The host was very helpful and responded quickly when I had questions. Although I live in Maine, and am used to the cold weather, the HVAC system and overhead fan did not adequately warm the downstairs area including the bathroom. The downstairs lighting was not particularly good in that the wall lights were not functional, so I turned the kitchen and bathroom lights on with the door open. All in all, other than these things, the space was clean and pretty well located to downtown.

Spring break

We had the perfect stay! It was a great space for three girls on spring break. The company stocked up the house which we really appreciated! Any questions we had were answered asap. It was in the perfect area. We also met the owner because he had to touch up the paint job and he was really sweet!

Cozy stay!

LOVED our time at the Blue Cottage. Centrally located to the nightlife and restaurants of King St and a short drive from the historic district. We were able to walk to locations for the majority of our stay. Loft bed was very comfortable and a fun twist - keep in mind you'll be climbing up and down to access it. The bathroom is small, but has everything you need! StayDuvet gave our stay a concierge feel. They were attentive to our needs and provided lots of information. Would absolutely stay again!

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Cottage. Everything was as described and the location was an easy walk to King Street, particularly enjoyable in great weather! Loved starting the day with the complimentary coffee, a very nice touch. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything was clean and organized. The shower and the sofa felt especially small but it is a tiny home after all! The concierge was also very helpful and quick to respond to my texts. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Our visit to Charleston

Cute little house… has everything needed for maximum two people. Bed is up a ladder (not stairs) so just be aware of that. Shower is very small but water is hot and good pressure. About a 30 min walk to downtown. Some great places right next door. During our stay there was construction across the street, no idea when that will end. Neighbors had a party that was quite loud. Overall a good stay… especially if you are not planning at staying in very much. If you plan on staying more than two days, you may want to consider something closer and bigger.

Great stay at the Blue Cottage

It was a fun stay. We’ve never stayed at a tiny house before and found it cozy and well suited to our needs. Host was attentive and helpful. Check in and check out was easier than any other place we’ve stayed.

tiny!

This is a very small apartment/room. Cute but would not recommend a third person! It’s very warm during spring/summer months, so turn down the AC as soon as you check in. Also, bring your own coffee! Charleston is beautiful.

Very cute property!

We enjoyed our stay! It was very cute and clean, and the bed was comfortable. For those considering staying, know that it is like a "tiny house;" with compact living quarters. It works great for a couple (as long as they're OK climbing a steep ladder up & down to get to the bed).

Good for the price

This is a great property for a couple with no mobility issues. Tight shower, ladder climb into bed and a bit longer walk to downtown sights. I would not recommend for 3 people.

Great little spot!

This space was perfect for 2 people! The space is cozy and the linens and space were incredibly clean! The full kitchen is a definite plus! The only downside was the construction across the street, it shook the whole place! Other than that, the space itself was wonderful! Would return!

Perfect Stay in Charleston

Our stay in Blue Cottage was delightful. The property was as advertised, and totally met our needs. The property managers, Stay Duvet, quickly resolved any minor problems. Highly recommended for anyone able to climb a ladder into the sleeping loft.

Pros: great location, free parking spot, good wifi, smart tv Cons: air conditioner was broken and the temporary replacement AC did not work well, light/fan fixture in living room does not work, no hooks in bathroom to hang towels, small fan in loft does not work, tv in loft does not have a remote so it does not work, fan above the stove does not work, washer was out of order and smelled moldy which spread throughout entire place, light in fridge does not work, no dish soap provided to wash pans, and overall the place felt like it was not well kept (in my opinion). It is a place with potential but needs to be cared for better.
