This cabin has everything! Tons of indoor and outdoor entertainment for everyone. Bedrooms and bathrooms are plentiful, clean, and well spread out. Our group of 20 had a wonderful stay.The host Paul was extremely responsive and made everything easy for us.

Farm Animal Haven

The location was great being surrounded by ranches with farm animals including a rescue farm where you could pet and feed the animals. Large porch area where we sat outside most evenings. Great family location.

Beautiful area, scenery and great for very large groups

We had a large family reunion here. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed DC as well as the surrounding areas. The host was very accomodating and we all enjoyed making some wonderful memories!

Perfect for family reunion

The house was just as descripted and depicted. It was spacious and the kitchen had everything you would need to host family and friends. The view from the back porch is beautiful and it was so relaxing to sit outside with a cup of coffee.

Family Reunion

Terrific location for a family reunion/birthday. The views were lovely, lots of games and amenities added to the fun. Great rescue farm abuts the property, and we enjoyed seeing the animals. Wish there had been an additional refrigerator for us to store food, but otherwise great.

Family Reunion

The house was awesome. So much space for everyone. The house came with so many games and activities to keep the kids busy. They especially liked the cotton candy machine. Views were better then we imagined and watching the horses and cows was so magical. Host was so responsive and made sure our stay was easy.

Paul and his property are amazing. He was very responsive to all our questions. This house had plenty of space for our gathering of 16 adults. There were plenty of dishes and utensils available for all of us. Ample supply of towels and paper products were in each bathroom(not common with some rentals). All of the onsite activities were a hit and kept people busy. We also had the pleasure of visiting the rescue farm and feeding the animals. It was a great week. Thank you Paul for sharing your property with others.

Fantastic!

A group of 16 women gathered here in complete comfort with absolutely everything one could need for a getaway. The owner was responsive, considerate, and kind. The scenery was beautiful and the house so accomodated that we could have been happy staying put for days. Trying to get my family to plan a reunion here soon!!

Fantastic!

We had a family re-union at the Almost Heaven Retreat. This property was the best that we have ever stayed at. Clean, spacious, state of the art bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen. Lots of chairs, rocking chairs outside at the decks. Gas grill, hot tubs. So much to do for the kids! Music instruments, toys, gaming automates (OMG!), table games. The kids were excited and the adults could relax. The place has everything anyone may think of. Harpers Ferry and Charles Town are near by - great opportunity to take a hike in the park or to visit museum or 'olde time shops'. Paul is a wonderful host. He promptly reacts to the calls or texts. We never needed anything at the property, but asked him for his suggestions of where to go for the sightseeing. He gave us great advises. Overall staying was just perfect and we had beautiful time. I highly recommend this property for vacation, re-unions, celebrations

A Fantastic Stay with Exceptional Host - 5 Stars!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property and it was an absolute delight! Our group consisted of 20 people, including two dogs, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The house itself was spacious, providing ample room for our large group. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep for everyone. What truly stood out, especially for the kids in our party, was the abundance of activities available. From board games and arcade games to the outdoor play area, there was never a dull moment. The property's tranquility was a breath of fresh air. Waking up to the sight of horses and cows grazing in the nearby fields became a cherished part of our mornings. The peaceful surroundings added a serene touch to our stay, making it a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A major highlight of our experience was the exceptional hosting provided by Paul. From the moment we booked until the end of our stay, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a 5-star experience. Paul was not only accommodating but also proactive in making sure our needs were met. His genuine hospitality and easygoing nature made the entire process seamless. We would not hesitate to stay at this property again or any other property managed by this host. Large group of 21 people rented just the larger side of this house and it had plenty of space! The kids enjoyed all the games, and the adults enjoyed the big kitchen and living area. The host was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure that we had a wonderful time. We also loved our tour of the rescue right next door- make sure to bring her a donation if you go. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others!

Amazing House!!!

We stayed at this incredible house for our family reunion. It’s huge, very clean, lots to do like ping pong, pool table, basketball, arcade games and more. There’s even a cotton candy machine with the supplies provided to make delicious cotton candy. The owner is so easy to communicate with. He responded to our questions very quickly. The horses and donkeys at the rescue farm next door are really cool and will come right up to people. We went on a vineyard tour and river tubing at nearby places. We had a great time! I highly recommend this wonderful house!!

Memorial Weekend Trip

A Great Place for Class Reunion

This "Almost Heavenly Retreat" is everything as advertised. We had a great time there. Paul, the owner, is very helpful and responsive. We would highly recommend it for large group gatherings. Our 18-person group had a 3-day reservation for the north site of the compound during a weekend in May 2022. On the first day we found the AC wasn't adequate for the upstairs (it was the first time at 90F since the facility opened). Paul opened the south side of the compound for us to use after learning about the AC problem. He apologized to us and told us that he would have the problem fixed as soon as possible so that the future guests would not encounter the same problem. One the second day of our stay, thunderstorm caused a power outage. We lost AC and water. Upon learning that the power company could not fix the problem until next morning, Paul took immediate actions to get another nearby large cottage ready for us. The previous guests just checked out. While the facility had been cleaned, it hadn't been "fully cleaned." Paul along with a helper performed the full cleaning until 8PM so that we could move in for the night. The power outage was not Paul's fault or something we enjoyed, but we really appreciated his willingness to help us resolve the problems.
