"Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy."

"My go to hotel in the area because it is always friendly, nothing is too much trouble, clean and convenient place to stay. I rarely eat there, doing so with friends in the neighbourhood, which is why 4 stars not 5 but given the comments I hear from those who do I suspect 5 would be deserved."

The walls in particular were yellow and marked, including hand prints on the walls and mould on the curtains (pictured attached). The room was very hot and the window didn't open - no air conditioning either. It was quite small and cramped. Premier inn would have been a lot better.
