"This is a really fabulous small hotel. The mostly young staff are wonderful and have really good customer service skills. The room we had was large and warm and really nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and some nice cushions.It was apparent that thought had been put in to all aspects of our stay. There were lovely little touches in the room - biscuits, fresh coffee and a cafetière, an extra blanket, and even recycling facilities in the room itself. We had a vegan...

"Arrived pretty late but a warm welcome from the staff, the complimentary drink on arrival was well received and nice surprise. We stayed in the Langford Room which was amazing, lovely a clean, nice little things like the cookies and a welcome personalised note. Miles was excellent, spent time chatting with us and telling us about the area and where to go. Would highly recommend and will definately be back "

I had a good bathroom with good lighting and a good shower door so no water leaking out onto the floor which can often happen in hotels. The breakfast was good. So I enjoyed my stay. "A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board. Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional...
