We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Bilder lügen nicht!Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist "der Hammer"!Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt, der Poolbereich ist Topp und hat viele Liegen und Sonnenschirme und ist frisch renoviert, genauso wie die Küchen und Wohnbereiche.Wir überlegen jetzt schön, im nächsten Jahr wiederzukommen.

Fantastisk feriehus

Et virkelig lækkert hus, med fantastisk udsigt. Huset er delt i to lejligheder; det passede perfekt til vores tur med to børn og fem unge mennesker - vi havde lejligheden nedenunder, med tre værelser, de unge havde lejligheden ovenpå, ligeledes med tre værelser. Værterne havde sørget for frugt og drikkevarer i køleskabet da vi ankom - sikke en luksus. Under vores ophold drillede den ene aircondition, det blev fixet dagen efter af en reparatør. Helt generelt svarede Giorgios rigtig hurtigt på de spørgsmål vi havde under opholdet, og var virkelig rar at snakke med. Vi vil helt klart anbefale både hus og vært til andre. PS. Vi ankom lige i tide til at nyde solnedgangen, der er fuldstændig fantastisk fra terrassen. Wow!

Der Ausblick ist phantastisch.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit, auch wenn es für den Tisch draußen noch zu kühl war. Giorgos hat im Vorfeld an alles gedacht und sogar für uns eingekauft, weil bei unserer Anreise, durch zwei Feiertage, die Geschäfte geschlossen hatten. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür. Wir fanden im Haus alles wie beschrieben vor

Ein absoluter Traumurlaub auf Kreta – 5 Sterne sind fast zu wenig!

Wir waren Anfang April mit einer Gruppe von 8 Freunden in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus und sind restlos begeistert! Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Das Haus ist super sauber, geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet sowie perfekt ausgestattet – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Die Küche war ideal für unsere Kochabende, der Wohnbereich gemütlich, und es gab genug Rückzugsorte für alle.Das absolute Highlight war jedoch die Lage: Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig auf einer Felsküste mit einem atemberaubend weiten Blick über das Meer – einfach magisch! Jeden Morgen mit diesem Ausblick aufzuwachen und abends den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen, war ein echtes Geschenk. Der Außenbereich mit Garten, Grillplatz und Pool war ein Traum – sogar Anfang April konnten wir ihn schon nutzen.Die Umgebung war ruhig, aber nicht abgeschieden – charmante Tavernen, Strände und kleine Dörfer waren nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt. Flughafen sowie die vermutlich schönste Stadt Kretas - Chania - sind jeweils in 15-20 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.Und auch der Gastgeber verdient ein großes Lob: herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten oder Tipps brauchten.Fazit: Dieses Haus ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Gruppen, die Natur, Ruhe und stilvolles Wohnen mit spektakulärem Meerblick suchen. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Wunderbare Nähe zum Meer

Wer die unmittelbare Nähe zum Meer liebt, ist in dieser Villa bestens aufgehoben. Wunderbarer Pool, Blick auf die Wellen, Meeresrauschen, Sonnenuntergänge. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet.Die Fenster haben Fliegengitter was das Schlafen bei geöffnetem Fenster ermöglicht.

A Beautiful place

This villa had the most astounding views! Perched above a rocky outcrop, the sunsets every night were a delight. The expanse of the sea below was magical. The Villa was exactly as described in the listing and Giorgios and Penelope could not have been more welcoming. Their communication with us was faultless and they connected us with a wonderful man named Christos who helped us arrange activities and a chef during our stay. We would most certainly return!

Great relaxation spot

This is a beautiful apartment, in a lovely quiet location, with a great swimming pool and lovely sea views. A car is necessary to get to the nearest amenities, but everything is just a short drive away. Cleaning and pool maintenance was provided three times a week and the hosts were friendly, responsive and very helpful. Would very much recommend!

Excellent villa, amazing views!

We had a lovely family holiday at Villa Penelope. The villa was exceptionally clean and cleaned twice during our week long stay. We loved the pool area, outside seating and the amazing views. The villa is split into two three bedroom apartments and this worked well for our party of 11. There was everything we needed and our host was very responsive when we had any questions. You do need a car as there is very little within walking distance but we found some lovely restaurants a short drive away. Overall we all loved our stay and would stay again!

Beautiful villa with fantastic sea view

The villa and pool area are beautiful. Very well equipped. We had a lovely holiday with our children and grandchildren. The owner was very helpful and the villa is exceptionally clean.

Gaston Family Vacation

This was our first trip to Crete. We loved it. Penelope is a beautiful villa situated on a rocky hill that looks right down to the sea. All day and all night you can hear the waves crashing. In the evening the pool area and landscaping are lit up. Just breathtaking. The bedrooms were a good size and the bathrooms clean and new. Our hosts were very attentive to our needs although we didn’t call on them very often as we had no problems and everything worked. We would definitely stay there again. You can’t beat the location. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening as we watched the incredible sunset. Give Penelope a try. You won’t be sorry!!

Très beau séjour dans une très belle villa

La villa est parfaite avec une vue incroyable sur la mer. Les couchers de soleils sont également magnifiques. La piscine est très propre et exposée en plein soleil toute la journée. La villa est bien équipée et propre. Les chambres sont également bien et les lits confortables. L'hôte a été très sympathique, nous a accueilli et donné de bonnes adresses près de la villa et était disponible en cas de soucis. A savoir, la villa est assez excentrée et il y a de la route à faire pour pouvoir visiter la Crète. Mais le cadre en vaut la peine.

Incredible destination, amazing property

No complaints at all, just a 15 min drive from the Chania airport. A little remote from the highway and shopping so maybe not the best option if you plan to explore Crete. But the destination is uniquely beautiful. The private pool is amazing. Watching sunsets from the patio is incredible and memorable. Amazing property!

Traumhaft schöne Villa

Die Villa zeichnet sich durch die grandiose schöne Lage direkt am Meer aus. Der Ausblick und der Sonnenuntergang sind fantastisch. Wenn das Meer ruhig ist, kann man auch direkt unterhalb schwimmen. Die Villa ist sehr gepflegt, sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet. Penelope und George sind sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieter. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Amazing spot, perfect location for our family

No matter it was a short holiday break for our family we definitely enjoyed at the most. The house was fully equipped and we didn’t actually missed anything. The owners were friendly and ready to help and reply on our questions about the area etc. We recommend this place and will be back for a longer stay soon.

In der Villa von George bleiben keine Wünsche offen.

Sie ist sehr gepflegt und sauber.Hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man genießt eine einsame Lage direkt am Meer. An ruhigen Tagen kann man unterhalb auch wunderbar schwimmen und schnocheln.Der Pool bietet ebenso Erfrischung und verschiedene Liegeplätze aller Art. Wir haben als Grossfamilie eine herrlich erholsame Woche dort verlebt. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!!!

Nice house with a spectacular view

Thank you to George and Penelope for a lovely stay. Communication was easy. The description of the house is perfectly accurate, and the view is even better. We couldn’t wait to watch the sunset every evening. I really recommend the house for a large group or two families traveling together.
