Great location for us but we do recommend a car. Lots of good restaurants near by. Although the pool was nice and heated, for us it was not warm enough. Plenty of sun beds etc. inside lots of room and reasonably well equipped. Only reason for a 4 star rather than 5 star rating is that things are beginning to show there age. This might be due to end of season. The hosts are very helpful nice people and always replied to any questions quickly. I do recommend a stay here especially if you have a big family group. There is lots of room, dishwasher, washing machine and full kitchen.

Fantastic hosts, were very accessible and helpful. Villa was perfect with a great pool set up and outdoor space. Watching the sunset from the first floor balcony was great. Would definitely return and recommend. Restaurants/ bar within walking distance or 2 minute drive away, Tarsanas beach was 4 minutes drive away and has a really nice safe sandy beach with a beach bar and taverna.

Het verblijf was erg prettig en de eigenaren waren heel zorgzaam. Ze doen er alles aan om hun gasten zich helemaal op hun gemak te laten voelen en zijn altijd bereikbaar. Het grote zwembad geeft een luxe gevoel en het huis zelf is uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt.

We had an amazing time at the villa. Olga and Katerina are great hosts. Olga welcomed us with fresh peaches and a bottle of local wine which was delicious. The pool was super big and water was clean and warm. We loved the big table by the BBQ where we could relax in the evening. All the facilities in the villa were great and the location close to the famous Zorba beach, even better! Remote enough to feel you have complete privacy but near enough to supermarket s and Chania make this villa a winner. Thank you so much!

Amazing stay at this beautiful Villa!

We had a fantastic stay at the villa – peaceful location, spotlessly clean, and perfect for families. The pool was beautiful and private, and everything was exactly as described. A real gem – we’d happily return! Thank you so much to Katerina and Olga for being so welcoming and generous letting us stay when we had such a late flight with children!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay! Katerina and her mother Olga were fantastic! Katerina was super responsive from the booking to recommendations for places to visit and restaurants.When we arrived, Katerina and Olga met us with welcome presents: a very nice bottle of wine and pastry treats. The house is very spacious, comfortable and clean and there was space for togetherness and for each of us to have privacy when we needed it.There are two (!) indoor kitchens each with large tables and an outdoor grille and oven with a large outdoor table with a sun shade that can accommodate a large family gathering. We stayed two weeks and after the first week, Olga organized cleaning and changing the sheets and towels. This was unexpected and very nice surprise.The pool is beautiful and the pool cleaner comes every four days and so even after the one stormy day during our stay, it was very clean. The house is in a beautiful location surrounded by olive trees. It is a few minutes walk to couple of small markets, two restaurants (Taverna Irene!), a cafe, a pharmacy and the bus stop. Stavros town and beach as well as Kalathas Beach with nice sand (our favorite) are walkable or a short bus ride away. Old town Chania is an easy 20 minute drive. Olga and Katerina invited us to Friday night dinner at Taverna Irene to enjoy live greek music and singing. Fantastic!This is a wonderful place to stay, run by an organized and generous family and we highly recommend it!

A wonderful stay

What a lovely stay we had. A lovely welcome on arrival by Olga. Villa clean and lots of space for us all. Well equipped with everything we needed. The outside space was large with enough seating for us. We made use of the pizza oven and the BBQ. Location is lovely with lots of places to eat. The communication with the hosts before arrival and whilst on holiday was excellent. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had 9 people staying, and we all fitted in very comfortabley , almost was like having to apartments in one , kitchen bedrooms and lounge on both floors plus a third bedroom up in a little mezzanine, great big table on patio with barbecue and pizza oven , can thoroughly recommend this beautiful villa

Sauberes und schönes Haus mit guter Lage!

Wir sind mit 5 Personen hierher gereist und haben die Villa Elhrisos gemietet. Die Ankunft war leider unsererseits sehr spät, weshalb die Mutter der Vermieterin schon dort etwas länger auf uns warten musste. Sie gab uns dann auch die Schlüssel und hat uns kurz das Haus gezeigt. Dies lief reibungslos und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen 🥰 Das Haus ist sehr sauber und total gemütlich. Da wir uns einen Wagen gemietet haben, kamen wir von dort aus überall gut hin, die Taverne Irene war direkt um die Ecke und dort konnte man super essen! Supermärkte sind auch in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das einzige, worüber man meckern KÖNNTE, war, dass die Fernseher leider nicht funktioniert haben und die Pumpe des Pools zwischendurch immer mal wieder aus war, mitten am Tag. Für Katzenliebhaber wie mich war es außerdem auch ein Traum, denn jeden Morgen wurde ich von Yiasou und Kali (selbst gegebene Namen 😁) begrüßt, die schon um unser Haus strichen. Als Abschied haben wir von der Mutter der Vermieterin noch sehr leckere Schokolade gebracht bekommen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt! Gerne wieder! 5 Sterne! ❤️

Séjour juillet 2023

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour, la maison est bien équipée, spacieuse et les espaces extérieurs très agréables. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et réactifs si besoin. Juste l'annonce semble montrer qu'il n'y a pas de voisins, ce qui n'est pas le cas mais pas de vis à vis tout de même. De plus, la proximité de l'aéroport fait que nous entendons quelque fois les avions. Cordialement

Picturesque Xhorafakia/Villa Elihrisos

The best of houses, well parted bedrooms ensured privacy and two well equipped bathrooms and kitchens. Everything in perfect order and the host most welcoming and very serviceminded including advise regarding to local scenic places, shopping and dining. All we had to do was ask. Good local shopping and dining nearby. Magnificent wiev over the bay of Chania and awesome sunset in the evening.

The owner and her family were very accommodating to our questions preparing for our trip, as well as accommodating our questions when we arrived. Beautiful and friendly villa

The villa itself was lovely and had everything we needed. It was lovely to relax in and had beautiful views. The most welcoming hosts ever, Katerina and Olga were so helpful and anything you needed, they were happy to help with. They even booked our airport transfers for us. Could not fault them at all, so kind and generous. They were just a message away if you had any troubles. The neighbours were also really kind and gave us fresh eggs and cake some mornings. They also let us stay way past check out time as our flight was very late which was so generous of them and I just want to thank them for being such kind hosts. My only recommendation is that you hire a car as it’s about 30 minute drive to the city centre and in Crete, a car is definitely necessary!

Elihrisos Sunsets

Amazing villa just as described. If it’s peace and tranquillity you’re looking for then this is the ideal place to stay. We are a family of 3 couples and the villa provided space for all to enjoy it’s offering. Set over 2 floors each with lounge, dining and kitchen facilities plus bedrooms and bathrooms. Fully equipped for those who want to self cater. Outside provided plenty of space including swimming pool, barbecue area and dining area. This is a quiet location with local restaurants and mini markets close by. Chania is a 15-20 minute drive away. The villa was clean and well presented and the hosts were very helpful and attentive. Thanks Olga and Katerina. We would definitely book again Finally Olga you were right the sunsets from the first floor terrace were amazing.

Super séjour

Villa au top, très grande, nous étions 3 familles et chacun a pu trouver son espace. Extérieur super également avec la grande piscine et la très grande table très conviviale ! Très bonne communication avec l'hôte qui est très réactive. Villa plutôt bien placée pour visiter l'ouest de la Crète.

Gut für große Gruppen die unter sich sein wollen

Eher abgelegen wodurch man niemanden stört und für sich ist. Aber der nächste Laden und Bushaltestelle sind trotzdem nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Von der Bushaltestelle aus kann man mit dem Bus innerhalb von 30 Minuten Chania erreichen. Im Haus hat es uns an nicht gefehlt außer einer Tür um schnell in den Garten zu kommen. Die Couches sind alle sehr bequem und auch gut zum schlafen geiegnet damit wäre auch bis zu 12 Personen tatsächlich kein Problem. Was unseren Aufenthalt noch deutlich verbessert hätte wäre ein Mietwagen daher würden wir empfehlen einen mit einzuplanen.

Fabulous villa

Just returned from a 2 weeks stay at what we called “The rock star villa. Family of 10. Great grandparents, grandparents, mum and dad and 4 littlest ones aged 2 to 7. On arrival we couldn’t believe our luck at the look of the villa from outside. We were met by a lovely family, the greeting could not have been nicer. The pools were so inviting the little ones stripped off to underwear to take a dip (10.30 in the evening) Going inside the villa was spotless and so spacious. Lovely quirky details like the spiral staircase (but separate exterior entrance for those less daring. The facilities were second to none with everything provided to start our stay. And what a stay it was. Very secluded and totally private yet only a short stroll across the road to the nearest bar/restaurant. There were several restaurants/bars within 20 mins walk and also 2 supermarkets which were well stocked. We had a few trips into Chania town (Approx 15 mins in taxi) and 2 trips to Stavros beach (Approx 30 min walk or 5 min taxi ride) The Ramblers pub 10 min walk away did excellent steaks and even a Sunday dinner. The main thing we preferred was staying within our villa enjoying much needed family time. With the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, other than a mask in the supermarket we could forget it all. Can I just make a mention of the super soft pillows - amazing. No one wanted to leave this amazing place but on leaving this lovely family even bought us presents - what a lovely gesture. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We would love to return and would highly recommend this villa.
