Wonderful stay - host very helpful and prompt with all questions. The house has many areas for socialiizing as well as for quiet time. Location excellent - planes are noticeable at first but we became used to them - Certainly didn’t distract from our enjoyment of the house. Linens and bath amenities excellent and well thought out additions. Would definitely book again.

An amazing place

Incredible house, pool, and host!

Amazing house. We stayed 23 nights and were still not ready to leave. We have stayed at many houses throughout Europe I would consider 5 stars This has been the best. The house, layout, pool, grounds etc are all beautiful. All the little touches you would want in your own house are there. Many items were provided when we arrived which was very nice of the owner. Best owner/host we have had. Goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Helped guide us in where to go, eat, etc. 10-15 minute from center of Chania which ended up being a great location because the house is located central to many amazing local beaches and villages. Those are the gems of Chania in our opinion. One of the beaches is only 2 min away and directly faces the sunset. If you’re looking for house in Chania this is the place to stay! Hope to be back again.

Stunning villa on a noisy location

Villa Dimi is a marvel of architecture and design. Beautifully secluded and well kept garden with many options to relax, enjoy the heated pool and the sun. Very helpful and friendly host. Fully equipped. Great artwork in and around the house! Our only disappointment was the vicinity of a busy road and the busy airport of Chania, leading to quite some noise from cars driving by and airplanes taking off, also at night. The area is quite populated so if you’d like to avoid the crowds we’d recommend a spot further away from Chania and the airport. If not, this is the best villa you’ll ever find.

Stunning Villa

This gorgeous house has everything a family needs for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed spending time in the pool with lunches in the outdoor dining areas. While my husband and I exercised in the gym, our little ones could play with the children’s toys in the same area. The house is large with 4 bedrooms and everyone has their own restroom. We loved grilling outside and watching football in the family tv area. We also hired a masseuse and chefs to come to the house to really treat ourselves on holiday. Gorgeous beaches and delicious restaurants are less than 5 minutes away and other areas of Crete are easy to explore by car. We would definitely return!

Absolutely magical!

If you are planning a trip to the Chania area of Crete, book this house immediately! We have been fortunate to stay in a number of lovely vacation homes over the years, and our whole family agreed that this is one of the most special! The home itself is stunning. The design of the house is so unique and beautiful while also being homey. There are so many places to gather inside and outside, and we really felt like we were able to make this our home for the week. The kitchen is fully equipped, the kind house managers stocked the fridge at our request and even left a little treat for the kids!), and there were even some toys for the pool/ beach! The pool is spectacular and we swam at least twice a day! The home manager team (Evangelia, Andreas, and faidra) couldn’t have been more welcoming giving us a full house tour, answering any questions and sharing great local recommendations, and providing thoughtful caretaking of the home. A few tips—book a massage with their referral, Stella! Amazing! Also marathi is a great local beach with great seafood restaurants beachside! Pick fruit from the trees on the property and make homemade lemonade! We spent a ton of time in Chania itself, which we loved, but some of our favorite memories were really spending time together in this special space under the incredible olive tree in the middle of the outdoor space. Thank you again for such a fabulous visit.

Idyll in Chania

Villa Dimi is the perfect vacation spot. We met the property manager upon arrival and she gave us a tour of the house. It is beautifully furnished...an aesthetic gem. Every detail was tended to...wine and appetizers upon arrival, milk in the ice box, ice cream in the freezer and Espresso machines galore! The grounds are lovely and well tended. Light servicing during the week was a surprise, but delightful. Our party of seven had ample space for working, reading and relaxing. We would return tomorrow!!!

Best holiday

Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday - the Villa is beautiful, clean, luxurious and suited all our needs. There are various lovely outdoor areas in which to relax - in the sun or the shade - within the crowd or away from it! We were on a family holiday to celebrate my sons 18th birthday and Evaggelia was absolutely amazing at helping us every day - with Chef hire for the family celebration evening, boat hire to amazing coves for snorkelling on a luxurious boat, recommending and booking restaurants and arranging taxis, even at short notice For all various family members (we were a family of 9) and although all adults, it was well equipped for children if needed - the local restaurant Alibertos was incredible, but to be honest, there was not a bad meal our whole stay, the food was amazing - local beach is lovely and we particularly liked Marathi - back to the villa, towels, robes, slippers all provided, the pool was beautiful and it was also fully air conditioned - we can find no fault in any of our stay and we will definitely recommend and would love to come back

Stunning villa

We had a great week in Villa Dimi. It’s a very beautiful and relaxing place with superb outdoor shaded seating and an amazing main living space. A car is definitely needed as the main road nearby is a little busy and it’s good to explore some of the bays nearby, go to Chania or other expeditions etc. We had amazing meals out; the restaurant recommendations were excellent. And there are good shops nearby. We were a group aged 8 to 80 and everyone loved it. Thanks to the wonderful owner for making it so welcoming.

Heavenly Oasis

Villa Dimi is a slice of heaven with a backyard oasis. There are endless areas in this home to relax alone and/or with your family. Our family of 8 had an absolute incredible stay in Crete. The home itself is about 25 minutes away from the center of Chania and less than 5 minutes from restaurants and super markets but our kids never wanted to leave! Between the multiple terraces, hammocks, sunbeds, gazebo, etc, there were multiple areas in the home to sit and relax and have fun. The layout, architecture, and art of the home were beautiful. In our 2 weeks of the trip the 3 nights at Villa Dimi were the best sleep we had, the locations of the bedrooms were well spaced apart and the beds were beyond comfortable. Villa Dimi has a daily house cleaner which was great and she answered many questions we had. Prior to our stay all of my emails and questions were answered promptly and they even assisted me by calling a few transportation companies. I would highly recommend Villa Dimi to any friends wanting to stay in Chania!

Quality Family Time in Beautiful Crete

Our family of 7, including 5 adult children, stayed in this beautiful, tranquil space in the early spring of Crete. While the weather wasn't ideal, we enjoyed the spacious common areas, cooking together, drinking the local wine and relishing some quality time together free from 7 busy jobs. And our newly engaged couple, Jack and Colleen. The Villa is fully stocked and complete with thoughtful amenities - from expresso machine to candles and playing cards. It is beautifully decorated without going over the top. The pool area was inviting altho chilly and the hosts were very responsive to our requests. The Villa is in a perfect location if you want to be near but not in the midst of the City of Chania - which offers wonderful food, shopping and sightseeing. There are stunning views everywhere and wonderful (challenging) day hikes to beaches. We loved our time at Villa Dimi and I will recommend the Villa, the host, and the Chania area to any of my friends and family who might be as fortunate as my family to travel there.

Sehr schönes Haus in super Gegend

Das Haus liegt zwar nicht alleinstehend aber es ist sehr großzügig angelegt und dadurch fühlt man sich wie alleine. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und funktionell. Jeden Tag kommt Angela zum reinigen von Haus und Garten. Das Meer ist nicht weit und es gibt sehr schöne Strände zu erkunden.

beautiful house with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday

The owner was really helpful before and during our stay. She was very accommodating with our travel needs and was there to greet us at the property when we arrived even though it was early. The lady who took care of the property was lovely and even made us a cake. She was very helpful with local knowledge and tips on where to go. the property is beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy. the local beach has amazing sunsets and there are fabulous beaches close by. we loved our holiday here and would recommend for families. we did walk to the beach which took 20/25 minutes although there is no footpath for a lot of the way but it was ok. The local restaurant was ok. rustic but nice enough although there are lots and lots of stray cats. chania was gorgeous and very easy to get to from the villa.

Wonderful Villa Near Chania

Our family of four including two teenage boys spent a most enjoyable week at the architecturally stunning and conveniently located Villa Dimi in July 2017. Located immediately to the northeast of Chania, set amongst olive groves between two villages and a short drive from several nice beach spots, the Villa is spacious, airy, well appointed with modern appliances, and filled with amenities for the entire family. The salt water swimming pool is set out just beyond a scenic Koi pond, with sun beds and a covered pool terrace with furniture. There are two further principal terraces, one off the living room (perfect for morning coffee) and the other off the chef's kitchen, featuring a large outdoor dining table. The bedrooms and baths are well appointed and comfortable, and there are several flat screened TVs spread throughout the house. The Wi Fi is fast and reliable, and there is a second refrigerator near the washing machine and dryer, perfect for storing cold drinks. The basement game room and outdoor ping pong table provide for additional activities during time spent at home, and the outdoor parking area for two cars is both covered and secure. We also enjoyed the eclectic art collection spread throughout the villa. The bedroom air conditioning units work quietly and efficiently when needed. There are two large supermarkets located a short drive away, along with bakeries, pharmacies, and other shops and tavernas. One word of caution however -- if you are sensitive to noise, the cicadas become quite loud during the afternoon hours! (For me, it would not be Greece in the summer without the sound of cicadas, so I found their hums and buzzes relaxing). Old town Chania is about a 15 minute drive away, and several smaller beaches are quick drive nearby, along with some scenic monasteries which feature some very good wine and olive oil. The owners and staff are very gracious and welcoming, and are always available if needed. Villa Dimi is the perfect spot to base a family vacation in western Crete, and we hope to return one day again in the future.

Die Villa war wirklich traumhaft schön, schöner als auf den Fotos! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, war ein perfekter Urlaub :).

A magical place , best property we've ever stayed in. the owner has thought of everything

We we're so happy with this property. It's situated in a really lovely, local area , hardly saw any tourists in the local restaurants. Beach is very close by and also really nice . We were 2 families who stayed in villa dimi for a week . The garden and outdoor area is amazing , so many different places to relax . The pool area is great , we actually didn't want to leave the house in the day , spent many hours enjoying the pool, where there is a lovely covered seating area , where there is a sound system . The bedrooms were perfect , beds super comfortable , comfy pillows and as the rest of the house ,beautifully decorated . The owner was very helpful with great tips on local restaurants and cafes . We also had a massage in the villa one afternoon . I could go on and on, we felt so well looked after and this is a lovely, magical villa in a lovely part of Greece- we will come back . No one could be disappointed in this place

Great place to stay

This place suited all of our needs. Anything that we needed to make our stay was right there. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Daily maid service was certainly a plus. If you are looking for a place to stay in Crete give this one a real close look.

An outstanding property with all the comfort and services required for a family vacation.

What you see is what you get. An outstanding property with all the comfort and services required for the perfect family vacation. Specious house with plenty of rooms and a top end pool area. Simply the perfect surrounding for a family vacation. Owner is very responsive, serviceminded and super helpful. Would not hesitate to book this property next time we visit Chania. Only slight/minor downside is the missing sea/mountain view, but then again the house is relative close to Chania city center (15min by car). In conclusion - absolut value for money.
