Our group of six adults was enchanted with our stay in this beautiful villa in the Tuscan countryside. We wanted to be in a peaceful setting with beautiful views, and this place exceeded our expectations, even down to the winding roads to reach the house. The gated entrance, driveway and parking area required a bit of a learning curve in our Passat wagon, but it was a minor inconvenience when considering the setting and view from villa with its lovely gardens. The apartments were beautiful and unique; we felt ourselves in another era and lifestyle. It was impeccably clean. We had everything we needed. The owners/hosts Ludovica and Christian were warm, welcoming and friendly. Upon request, we received a tour of the whole house along with an amazing history lesson and a little background about olive oil farming and production. It was easy to reach numerous small towns; Certaldo, a fun 15 minute drive, is a wonderful place to visit (amazing market on Wednesdays), especially the old town reached by a funicular. San Gimignano was only 30 minutes. Certaldo has a train station from which you can easily reach any number of cities. Plenty of vineyards for wine tasting within a 15 minute drive, and also restaurants. Our only regret was we were only there for three nights.
