I originally booked the Bandera rental for myself and my children, but unfortunately a family emergency came up and they weren’t able to join me. The owners were incredibly kind and understanding and graciously allowed me to come back the following weekend, which I truly appreciated.I ended up spending the weekend solo in the main cabin, and it was exactly the retreat I needed. The setting is peaceful and beautiful—perfect for reading, sitting by the fire, taking in the views, and enjoying some quiet time. In the evenings, I drove into Bandera for dinner, which is only about a 20-minute, very scenic drive from Center Point.The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to cook my meals. The internet worked perfectly, and I had no trouble streaming on the Roku, though I mostly chose to unplug, read, and enjoy the solitude.This place is a true getaway and a wonderful spot to disconnect and recharge. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a genuine escape.

The Good:The Hill Country views were stunning. We enjoyed the porch every morning, and the peaceful setting was exactly what we hoped for. The caretaker, and maintenance team were very polite and responsive to messages. If you’re active, adventurous, and enjoy steep paths and stairs, this location is perfect for a nature-focused getaway.The Bad:Several amenities didn’t work as expected for the . The stove never reached cooking temperature, so our Thanksgiving dinner had to be ordered as takeout. The microwave took 3 minutes to heat a cup of water, and the grill wasn’t usable. Nearly every dish, cup, and utensil had to be washed before use due to food residue. Main cabin shower didn’t drain, maintenance came 24 hours after it was reported, it wasn’t fully repaired, leaving us standing in inches of water during showers. A burn ban was in order so we could not use the firepitThe Ugly:We left 1.5 days early and requested a one day refund thinking they would be flexible due to these ongoing issues that were a complete inconvenience, but the owner declined and responded only through the booking app. Five days after our departure—when they inspected the property—we were told the hot tub arm was broken, despite us never using the hot tub. The driveway is steep and may feel unsafe, and the property isn’t suitable for guests with mobility issues. While the scenery is beautiful, guests should be prepared for unreliable amenities and some significant inconveniences.

Peaceful & relaxing oasis!

We had the best weekend! Very peaceful and quiet, everything we needed, even our dogs loved it! Hosts were great with directions and lots of helpful info. Kitchen was stocked and the smart TV was a plus! Bed was super comfy and we loved sitting outside to enjoy the perfect view and weather.

Simply Breathtaking....

This rental was the epitome of a perfect vacation..Picture a large well appointed cabin nestled into the side of a mountain complete with hot tub and firepit area..Then when you enter bottom cabin, its extremely well maintained interior..I can safely say I have not been this relaxed, have not slept so well in years..The best part to me though was the view, pictures cannot do it justice, it was amazing.. the closest I've felt to God and the Earth in a long time ...

Loved this secluded retreat with an incredible view of the sunset against this hills! Great for families and people looking to relax. Communication was great and everything was exactly as listed. Would definitely recommend!

Serenity at Christmas time

The location is Texas perfection. The cabins themselves are nothing fancy, but they look out over a gorgeous little valley and are nestled on a cool piece of property that is worth exploring. The fact that it’s all fenced in allowed our children and dogs to roam freely and safely, taking the stress off of their mother and I. The time of year is ideal for sunsets, and the weather was glorious - cool at night and in the morning, getting up to high sixties at peak of day. Hot tub was great. Loved it, will recommend to friends and probably be back. Oven wasn’t working well, there was dust up high and in the blinds, bunk beds were a little concave, stairs between cabins are a bit unsteady, Internet streaming was not very good, and there’s no way to lock the access between the two rooms of the upper cabin. Minor issues. We came, we relaxed, we ate and drank, we unplugged, we are very happy.

Girls weekend

Unfortunately we had no hot water for the main cabin, The owner did contact us immediately and had someone out to try to fix, they were not able to order the part until Monday, my mom which is 75 years old had a hard time traveling the stairs to the second cabin, you could also smell the sewer the entire time,, I have stayed here several times this was the only time something went wrong,

Spectacular Views

If you are looking for "The View" in the Hill Country this is the place! The Hill Country Escape has it all; Chips and Salsa to welcome you which we used around the fire pit, the covered deck to have coffee and the Jacuzzi Spa overlooking the valley is awesome.

Great Retreat Location

This property is in great condition and is a lot of fun with kids and dogs. We didn't even know that the whole property is fenced in! What a plus for bringing dogs! Had 4 adults, 2 teens, and 6 kids aged 4-9. Pros: Tons of beds. So many beds. Fence! Hot tub worked great in 50° weather. Host was able to approve a late checkout since there were no guests arriving same day. Christmas decorations were up! Cons: There wasn't Wi-Fi in the upper cabin although it looked like there was supposed to be, which meant the supplied FireStick didn't work on the TV. But to be fair, we didn't message the hosts about it to try to get it fixed. We'd definitely come back here. Property is in a fun spot and feels very safe but still a little removed from the city, right in the sweet spot.
