Charming gîte with swimming pool and jacuzzi in the heart of the Loire Valley

  • Set in a magnificent 4,000 m² park bordered by the peaceful Beuvron River, this characterful residence combines modern comfort with the charm of the past. Architectural details such as moldings, ceiling roses, original hardwood floors, and a bow window will transport you back in time.
    Le Clos de la Varenne can accommodate up to 15 guests, with five bedrooms, a double living room, a dining room, a kitchen offering panoramic views of the pool and park, and a loft in the chalet that sleeps an additional three people.

    Enjoy the heated pool (available from May to September), the pool house with barbecue, the jacuzzi, as well as billiards and a ping-pong table for moments of relaxation and fun.

    The village of Cellettes, just 500 meters away, offers easy access to local shops, restaurants, and community facilities. You’ll also be able to explore beautiful landscapes along the riverbanks.

    Cellettes is ideally located near many castles, including Beauregard, Blois, Cheverny, Chambord, and only 34 km from the Beauval Zoo, ranked the 4th most beautiful zoo in the world.

    Check-in and check-out times are as follows:

    Weekly stays: Check-in from Saturday 4:00 PM – Check-out by Saturday 10:00 AM.
    Weekend or long weekend stays: Check-in from Friday 4:00 PM – Check-out by Sunday 3:00 PM (if there is no arrival scheduled that same day), otherwise by 10:00 AM.

    To preserve the peaceful environment of our haven, we kindly ask guests not to use outdoor speakers, except for soft background music.

Le gîte est conforme au descriptif, nous avons apprécié le jacuzzi pour les fetes de fin d'année et la découverte des châteaux et villages alentours à proximite est un réel atout. Tres bon accueil par notre hôte. Nous recommandons.

We have just spent a week at this lovely villa located in Cellettes. Everything was just perfect and it includes all the amenenities one would require. It has an extensive garden leading to a nice lake. We thank Paolo and Hugo for ensuring that our stay would be perfect. Thank you once again and hope we come again soon

Fabulous House

Location perfect for viewing all the major sites. Unfortunately the weather, was not good for us but it didn’t stop us seeing, what we needed to view, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay , the house worked well for 7 of us .

A lovely house, lots of room for our teenagers to chill out, garden was fantastic with the pool and the guest house with Jacuzzi and ping-pong. Well located for trips to chateaux and local vineyards for wine tasting. Highly recommend!

Lovely spacious house

Lovely holiday in a beautiful property. Very spacious house for our group of 11. The pool was great, although there was an issue in the first few days with it, due to the previous week’s weather. This was rectified by the owner and they kept us up to date with what was happening. The village has a great boulangerie and small supermarket. There was plenty of chateaus to visit nearby and the children like Blois with its magical house. Great holiday and lovely house.

Excellent property for trip with family and friends

Excellent property. Good location for exploring the eastern Loire. Blois, Amboise, Chambord, Orleans all easily accessible. Would recommend. Property manager very helpful.

Lovely stay

The property was very clean, as in the pictures. The pool was very nice. Host supplied jumper cables when our car needed boosting which was a life saver! Bakery and small grocery store in town a few minutes drive away.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle maison qui a de nombreuses ressources : piscine magnifique avec transats, ping-pong, jacuzzi, billard, barque sur la rivière, grande table à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur, petit "chalet" indépendant... Une très belle propriété qui a répondu à nos attentes. Une hôtesse charmante et une équipe facilement joignable. Bravo et merci !

Wonderful getaway in the Loire

The house was ideal for us. We had 10 adults in our family and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We spent several afternoons lounging by the pool. We were there 14 days had ages ranging from 24 to 84 so the space provided was wonderful. It was in a very lovely setting by the river. Everyone had a wonderful time and would love to come back every year. Thanks again for your help and allowing us to stay in your amazing home!

Fantastic, well equipped house in lovely grounds

We had a fabulous week staying in Cellettes and the house provided lots of entertainment for adults and teenagers alike. The accommodation is versatile, with the separate annex being fantastic for nocturnal teenagers! The river offered a picturesque fishing spot, with the shade also offering a cool spot to sit and relax from the summer heat. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for bbqs, and the swimming pool was the perfect temperature. Hugo, who met us arrival, was very helpful, and followed up any questions we had quickly by text. A great week!

Lovely in Loire

Wonderful stay in Cellettes with 4 couples. The house is spacious, airy and beautifully appointed. Swims in the heated pool and jacuzzi were a delight. Lovely riverbank view from the poolside terrace and from inside the kitchen. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at a restaurant within walking distance of the house-La Vielle Tour. The boulangerie and patisserie are steps away and a large supermarket is an 8 minute drive. The star of our stay were the owners. They couldn't have been nicer or more attentive to our needs. Thank-you Elisa and family.

Family getaway

We had a lovely week staying in Celettes with my family. Absolutely loved the house and all the amenities. Pool and the rowing boat were huge hits. Loved the pooltable, ping pong table and jacuzzi aswell. Location was great lot's of Chatéaus and little villages close by. Blois only 15 min drive away too. Village bakery and shop were easily reached by foot within a 7 min walk or so from the house. Village bar nor Restaurant was never open which was a bit of a shame. Showers in the extra guest house plus towel rack functioned but not properly and would need fixing. No issues otherwise would highly recommend the place :) thanks!

Outstanding property!

Where do I start! We all had the most incredible week stay here and we all fell in love with the place. It couldn’t have been cleaner… was absolutely immaculate from top to bottom. From bed sheets to kitchen utilities and everything in between was of a lovely high quality which made for an extremely comfortable stay. The pool and BBQ area were well equipped and I have no words for the river at the bottom of the garden where we all spent a lot of time relaxing and catching fish which our children enjoyed more than we thought they would. The jacuzzi was lovely and warm and very large. We all enjoyed the pool table and we even held a ‘ping pong championship’ which was a lot of fun. The little village was very pretty and a short walk and the zoo was incredible being labelled the best in Europe. The hosts are amazing, with very fast responses to any queries we had and were more than helpful, so thanks again for that. Twelve of us stayed here and we couldn’t have had a better week, from Grandparents down to the children. We could not of wanted anymore than we received here. I could not recommend this place enough and would recommend it to any friends or family. 10/10 👍

Fantastic property for a family summer holiday

A brilliant venue for a three generation holiday with a versatile accommodation mix for our party of 10 -the well appointed self contained chalet was ideal for the two 'seniors' with the younger families occupying the main house. We made good use of the large BBQ and with lovely weather we all ate out together by the pool every evening. The youngsters loved the swimming pool and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi and short trips out in the rowing boat in the river at the bottom of he garden - thank you for providing life jackets too. The garden exeeded our expectations and the trees provided welcome shade from the heat....definitely the favourite spot for Grandad! With a pool table and gym equipment in the room next to the jacuzzi and an outside table tennis table there was plenty for everyone to enjoy.. Hugo met us on arrival and after a long journey we were grateful he allowed us to gain entry before the alloted time. No review is complete without any mention of minor negatives and in this respect the kitchen is quite small for a big property - not an issue for us as we often used the BBQ - but the overhead hob extractor is too low and catches the unwary! There were occasions when hornets around the pool - unheated at this time of the year - caused some problems but maybe to be expected on a hot summer week. The wifi was not working in the chalet during our visit. Overall a great family holiday with lots of happy memories.

Family stay

Fantastic We we were a family group of 9 including 2 children and an infant. Our stay could not have been better. The photos don’t do justice to the property. We especially enjoyed the pool. The home is beautifully furnished and bedrooms were very comfortable. The town itself is extremely sparse however a small bakery is within walking distance or a short drive. The location is great for visiting the major chateaus and Blois is minutes away with fine dinning The host was very accommodating.

Very Nice House, Great Host!

We spent a great Holiday week in Elisa's house: Nice, spacious, very well equipped and with lots of great amenities to entertain everyone. Elisa greeted us upon arrival and was super responsive and attentive through our stay. Highly recommended!

Un séjour formidable et de très bons souvenirs !

Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir réserver la maison d'Elisa au dernier moment pour le weekend de l'Ascension, profitant d'une annulation de dernière minute. Et nous avons passé un séjour formidable ! Cette maison a tout ce dont nous aurions pu rêver : son côté spacieux, une piscine chauffée, un billard, un jacuzzi, une table de ping-pong, un accès direct à la rivière avec une barque... Nous ne saurions que recommander cette maison !

Excellent sejour !

L'accueil et le suivi de notre confort par Elisa fut parfait. Maison géniale pour 14 personnes, plein d'espaces à differents niveaux pour faire des jeux de société, manger, prendre l'apéro, jouer du piano, cuisiner sans se gêner ! Le chalet isolé pour y mettre les 5 cousins garcons...ideal pour les parents !! Chouettes balades dans la nature aux environs + la salle de sport et le jacuzzi, que demander de plus ! Tres bonnes adresses de boucherie, boulangerie, patisserie données par Elisa... nous reviendrons !
