Tour of Sicily

We toured much of Sicily. Cefalu was our last stop. We truly enjoyed our time there and stay at our VRBO. Our patio view over Mediterranean was to die for. Highly recommended dinner at restaurant next to VRBO , the Zyat. The host was very helpful.

beautiful place near beautiful Cefalu with easy access to sea

We chose this property vs others of similar price with sea views primarily due to 1) outdoor kitchen (we like to cook) and 2) direct access to the sea (we like to explore). Hindsight, we chose well, and we spent plenty of time cooking outside, as well as exploring the coastline (water shoes are a must). Very nice property owner gave helpful suggestions for dining and activities. Kids said the shared pool wasn't as clean as our personal pool, but we never used it anyway. Love, love, love Sicily, especially downtown Cefalu. We all miss eating gelato in brioche buns and making simple high quality dinners on the patio.

3 nights near Cefalu

House is clean and pleasant and comfortable for a family. Quiet out-of-the-way location, 9 minutes drive to Cefalu. Easy to park in Cefalu (in winter); in summer could be much harder. Beach at property was not usable or appealing...very rocky and lots of washed up detritus. Not sure about summer. Ocean view from house/patio would be spectacular, but is largely blocked by trees. House plumbing is borderline; sink barely drained, same with upstairs shower. Wireless was only really usable in living room. When we arrived, kitchen stove propane was turned off in the backyard, but Adriano talked us through turning it on. Nice that they left a bottle of wine and some pasta to prepare a meal, but there was no salt in the house so we had to make a trip to the nearby (very good) grocery store. Kitchen was small, with almost no counter space so tricky to cook for a group of 6. Cooking outside (in the summer) would be easier/nicer (induction stove on the patio). Patio is really nice. Despite complaints above, we enjoyed our 3-day stay.

Amazing property!

My family and I stayed here for five days and we wish we could have stayed longer! The pictures do not do it justice. It is a private property with about six villas surrounding a pool in the middle. Located about 10 minutes outside the hustle and bustle of Cefalu. Our Villa also had its own dipping pool, which was great for a happy hour or an evening swim. You must go to the rocky beach just a few steps below (bring water shoes). It was private and the water was spectacular. The Villa had everything we needed: pots, pans, glasses, etc. Each room had its own air conditioning unit, which was a welcome luxury during the hot Sicilian days. Our host, Adriano, was so hospitable. He provided great recommendations and even checked in during our stay. Mille Grazie!

PERFECT villa in a perfect location!

Honestly, our stay here could not have been more perfect. We were a week into our vacation and pretty tired when we arrived at Villa Arcipelago. It was the perfect respite for us and our four adult children. We had three options for relaxation and fun: down the steps to the rocky beach, the community infinity pool with views of the sea, or our own little private pool situated on the gorgeous patio. The Villa was clean and comfortable. Adriano could not have been more kind, helpful and flexible, as we changed our arrival time last minute. The information provided ahead of time with recommendations for activities and restaurants was very helpful. We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this was our best experience to date. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful refuge

The view of the sea and the private beach were incredibly lovely. We spent a lot of time on the covered patio watching the sea, listening to the birds sing, and inhaling the fragrance of the star jasmine flowers. The location is secluded and quiet, which was great for us; however, I would recommend having a car to stay here, as it is a 2 mile walk into town (or a €15 taxi ride), and there is no sidewalk for part of the way. Adriano was a great host, very helpful and attentive throughout our stay.

Beautiful location

The access to the sea is great, excellent for snorkling. There is a small nice pool at the villa and a lovely large communal pool. The terrace is excellent, the inside of the house more modest. Sadly, the door from the house to the small pool was locked so you had to walk all the way round the house to get there. Moscitos were a big problem, so you need to seriously kit up.

Wonderful Property!

Adriano was an amazing host. He was very responsive and gave us good advice and recommendations. We stayed with our extended family including 2 children under 10 years of age and 2 teenagers. We all had an amazing time. The house was well kept and plenty spacious for 10 guests. The view of the ocean was breathtaking. We felt like we almost had a private beach due to our family being the only people staying in the villas at that time. The beach is very rocky, making it a bit hard to walk on without proper shoes, but totally worth it. Our family definitely gives this place a glowing review. We hope to come back one day.

Beautiful luxury house in perfect surroundings

We highly recommend this beautiful located house for every nature lovers – and for families that are looking for a little bit of extra luxury. We spend a lot of time on the beautiful terrasse looking at the colorful sunset, swimming in the pool and finding unique stones on the small private beach. Adriano was a perfect host, making sure that we felt perfectly welcome.

Wunderbar

Location idéale!

La maison et surtout ses extérieurs (le parc, la piscine et la plage privée) correspondait tout à fait à l'annonce et aux photos. La piscine, bien que partagée avec d'autres résidences, était très agréable. La vue sur la mer était magnifique. Un vrai petit coin de paradis! Concernant la maison: en réalité il y a 8 couchages en chambre et 2 couchages sur un lit canapé dans le salon. Pour un séjour confortable, mieux vaut donc ne pas être plus de 8 personnes dans la maison. Le propriétaire était très disponible et plein de bons conseils. Seul petit bémol: le check out à 10 heures, un peu trop tôt selon nous.

Lovely getaway right outside Cefalu

An extremely comfortable, modern, spacious villa with close access to Cefalu! We spent three wonderful nights at Villa Arcipelago. The five of us had plenty of space and one double bed went unused! When home and not out exploring, we spent most of our time on the private patio overlooking the sea, walking down to the private beach, or swimming some laps in the pool! There are maybe 6-7 other villas within the complex that share the grounds, but there is plenty of space to stretch out. Cefalu is a short drive from the Villa and has a great grocery store to get everything you need to unwind after a day of touring! We would absolutely stay here again!

Agréable séjour!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison d'Adriano. C'est une maison conviviale,proche de la mer (accès privé pour la propriété), avec une localisation idéale près de Cefalu. Selon moi la capacité d'accueil est de 6 personnes max. Nous étions deux couples avec deux enfants de 4 et 5 ans. Le propriotaire et sa femme sont très sympas, disponibles et réactifs! Ils nous ont offert une bouteille de bienvenue et des gateaux pour les enfants. Nous recommandons et reviendrons sans hésiter !

There are stairs down to an amazing private beach. The pool is beautiful.

Adriano and Flavia, the owners and hosts are very attentive and helpful. They jumped into action when we were needing help with a medical issue. They went above and beyond to assure that we could navigate the health care system. They truly were amazing.

Absolutely lovely!!

ultimate location for relaxation, family/friends quality time. I spent a long weekend with my colleagues at Villa Arcipelago. We had the best time! All 7 of us would love to come back and we all highly recommend this location for families/friends who want a chilled out time. there was a private beach great for snorkelling, large pool+sunbeds, terrace with beautiful sea view and sun set. There was a BBQ too! So we spent the evenings on the terrace enjoying the sunset. A truly unique place, felt very homey, all tidy and clean. The owners were very friendly and relaxed. Many thanks to the owners Adriano & Flavia for you help and kindness
