Fabulous peaceful stay
Wonderful location tucked into the rock area so very convenient for the walk up. Was able to unpack the car outside then the hosts kindly showed us a free parking street (might be full in high season so need to book a place somewhere). We did have to drive some very tight streets and corners to get in and out so a smaller car is better (we had a Skoda suv and managed). Get all your shopping ahead of time to unload when you arrive - bring bottled water and toilet rolls (one provided)! The property is quaint and authentic with a stunning terrace so wonderful to hang out anytime of day! Views of the whole area and sunset! The two bedrooms are interconnected and have doors to the terrace- you walk across the terrace to the bathroom and outdoor kitchen- eating on the terrace was such a plus. Enough shade and sun! Note the fridge is in one bedroom with crockery cupboard so if you are two couples plan to get everything out the night before so not to disturb. There was a second fridge in our room which we could have asked to be switched on. Comfy beds and towels and a wonderful welcome gift for my daughter’s birthday from very kind hosts. This is a unique property and special experience. Would love to return.

Perfect Stay
This was an amazing property. Perfect views of the ocean and mountains. If you're looking for a place to relax among perfect scenery this is for you! There are a lot of steps to the building and also to the top floor (where the rental is) The property manager is respectful and everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. We felt so safe and comfortable!

A lovely apartment with spectacular view
This was our second stay at this lovely apartment . Beautiful views and close to all the attractions of Cefalu. We loved watching the sunset from the terrace . The owners are lovely and helpful . A fabulous holiday !

Fantastic stay with wonderful hosts
We had a wonderful stay with Guiseppe and his lovely wife. The place was exactly what we expected but even better location than I imagined. At the foot of the Rocca and minutes from the Duomo. The hosts had fresh local biscottis for us which were amazing and so thoughtful. Although we spoke very little Italian and they no English, we managed to communicate our needs and questions via google translate. If we are ever in Cefalu again, we would stay here happily.

Unbelievably Beautiful
I thought the photos perhaps were taken from a clever angle but no, the terrace really is huge (about 400 square feet!) with a fantastic al fresco kitchen, table for six, comfy lounge chairs and that million dollar view. Just steps from the Duomo and all the restaurants and shops of the historic town center, and in the other direction just steps from the entrance to the park where well built steps allow a climb to the very top of the old fortress. Incredible! Plan to buy charcuterie and wine and have late lunches "at home", the breeze and views can't be beat! Very gracious hosts, easy check in and check out. A truly magnificent stay.

Great little find
This was a great little find for us. It was a rooftop terrace with connecting bedroom and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. It was located at the bottom of La Rocca. Very close to the hiking trail. Beautiful view of the sea. Nonna and Nonna were very sweet. Greated us with beautiful cookie platter from the pasticeria. No English spoken however google translate helped. The one thing I will say is that there are many stairs to navigate from the street to the apartment. This is fine if you are not two crazy American girls with way too much luggage. We immediately regretted our large suitcases. Of course this regret continued throughout Sicily as you will rarely find elevators anywhere. This apartment gets 5 stars for value, view, hosts and location. However, if you have difficulty climbing stairs this is probably going to be a challenging situation for you. GRAZIE Nonna and Nonna for a wonderful stay in Cefalu!

WHAT A VIEW!
This place is perched above town and at the base of the enormous "rock" mountain that identifies Cefalu. Lovely owners live in an apartment below and are very available. Not luxurious by any means, but you can't beat the view.

Cefalu is our new favorite place in Sicily!!
This quaint fisherman village is a lovely vacation spot. Just small enough to be walkable with a main square, church and beaches. Plenty to see and eat:) Caution lots of stairs in town and heading up to this rooftop property. It was challenging to find but worth the struggle. The host greeted us in the street and gave up his parking space. The two rooms were spacious and cooled by a/c just note the ceilings is A frame and gets low on far side of room. Also there’s a outside kitchen on the rooftop terrace! The single bathroom is across the terrace and without a/c it gets hot! Recommend a fan for bathroom! The view is amazing !! You got to climb many steps to capture that view!

Sunset on the Terrace of your dreams!
If you don't mind climbing some steps, this is the property for you! You will soon realise when you get there that it is worth it! Sitting on the beautiful, spacious, comfortable terrace sipping your appertivo will never disappoint. The hosts were very welcoming and even though we did not speak the same language, it wasn't a problem. The bedrooms are comfortable and Aircon was great, needed in end of July/early August! The area was beautiful, right at the heart of the old town, not far to the beach and everything you need on your doorstop- including the start of the walk up La Rocca- a must for stunning views. We would return to this property, with 3 young kids, in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Cefalu Apartment
A wonderful apartment with incredible views and location. Close to the beating heart of Cefalu, abutting the stunning La Rocca, this property's standout feature is its enormous terrace (featuring an outdoor kitchen) that boasts once-in-a-lifetime views. Despite high temperatures, we were always comfortable on the terrace - there is plenty of shade, sun lounges on which to relax and a huge dining table on which to enjoy home-cooked meals. Our hosts were lovely and helpful (even providing us home made pesto one evening, and wine and snacks upon arrival). Bedrooms are cooled with effective A/C units. We were a family of four (two children 11/8) and the property was perfect for our needs. We'd highly recommend this property for your Cefalu stay.

Living outside on the terrace with an outdoor kitchen and amazing view. Beds comfy with good air conditioning. Lots of steps to get there but we’ll worth it. Friendly and helpful owners.

Wundervolle Aussicht und Leben draussen
Die Aussicht ist grandios und die teils mit Plane bedachte Dachterasse bietet Sonne sowie Schatten. Man kann praktisch draußen leben. Sehr freundliche, auch deutsch-sprachige Vermieter vor Ort, die aber Privatsphäre respektieren. Wir kommen sicher (bereits zum wiederholten Male) wieder :-)!

Traumhafter Blick
Die Terrasse ist wirklich wunderbar, der Blick fantastisch. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, aber sehr sauber und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Vermieter, die im Haus wohnen, sind super nett und hilfsbereit, das ist man auf jeden Fall gut aufgehoben. Die Lage im Ort großartig, man ist schnell überall. Wir hatten nur - trotz Hilfe einer Einheimischen - einwenig Probleme die Unterkunft zu finden, dass sollte man sich vorher genau anschauen bzw. erklären lassen. Es ist definitiv eine " Draußen-Wohnung", zum Bad muss man von den Zimmern über die teils nicht überdachte Terrasse- wir hatten ein ordentliches Unwetter, da wurde man beim Badgang dann schon einmal nass. Leider hatten wir im Nachbarnhaus eine Baustelle auszuhalten, die jeden Morgen um 7,30 Uhr durch heftige Klopfgeräuche aus sich aufmerksam machte. Die Vermieter konnten nichts dafür und haben sich mehrfach entschuldigt, die Baustelle hat unseren Aufenthalt aber doch beinträchtigt. Wir werden aber bei unserem nächsten Cefalubesuch auf jeden Fall wieder dort wohnen wollen getragen von der Hoffnung, dass dort dann keine Baustelle mehr ist.

Danke für die wunderschönen Tage auf der Dachterrasse
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die sehr saubere Unterkunft befindet sich auf der Dachterrasse eines dreistöckigen Wohnhauses am Rand der Altstadt, nur 2 Minuten Fußweg von der Fußgängerzone entfernt. Bis zum Strand sind es höchstens 10 min Fußweg. Die freundlichen Vermieter sprechen sehr gut deutsch und wohnen in diesem Haus, beantworten gerne Fragen. Erstaunlich ruhig (bei Wellengang war das Rauschen des Meeres war zu hören, Verkehrslärm jedoch nicht). Der Ausblick von der großen Dachterrasse ist tatsächlich so grandios wie auf den Bildern. Wir haben vier Tage dort verbracht, mit zwei kleinen Kindern, die auf der (kindersicheren) Dachterrasse viel Platz zum Spielen hatten. So konnten wir selbst entspannt die herrliche Aussicht genießen. Vielen Dank, wir haben unsere Urlaubstage bei Ihnen sehr genossen.

"Great Location, Views and Accomodations"
This property is very centrally located, has amazing views and was a very comfortable place for our family. The apartment was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Giuseppe and his wife were very nice and even though we did not speak Italian they were very understanding and eager to helps with our inquires. They were very thoughtful in welcoming us by having candies and wine for us. We had an impressive view of the sea, town, and right behind the apartment "The Rocca". The bedrooms were spacious each one with their own tv and Fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped. We truly enjoy our stay in this property and if we go back to Cefalu we will not hesitate to rent it again. Thanks, Giuseppe and Mima for your Hospitality.

Wunderbares Quartier
Die Ferienwohnung ist fantastisch. Beim ersten Betreten der Terrasse ist man überwältigt vom 180-Grad-Ausblick über die Berge, Cefalu und das Meer. Die Wohnung ist absolut sauber, und gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse mit Küche lädt ein zum Leben im Freien, abends schaut man genau in die richtige Richtung, um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen. Die Lage - nah am Piazza Garibaldi - ist sehr angenehm, um mit kurzen Wegen in die schöne Altstadt zu kommen. Man hört hier die Kirchenglocken, Möwen, Schwalben und Ziegen auf dem Hausberg "Rocca di Cefalu". Oft kann man abends Feuerwerke am anderen Ende der Stadt beobachten. Zum Stadtstrand ist es auch nicht weit. Die Vermieter sind sehr nette Leute, wohnen im gleichen Haus und sind jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder ! Herzliche Grüße aus Berlin.

View from the terrace September 2018
This place was very nice. Clean you could eat off the floor. The Taranto’s were very nice people who did not speak English or French but we managed to understand each other. The terrace was so welcoming and had a lovely breeze where we relaxed after being in the hot sun all day. The bedroom was very comfortable and the outside kitchen was an inviting place to make food if we felt like it. Just better pillows on the bed would have made a big difference. I can recommend this little gem of a place. Would like to go back with my family.

Beautiful view!
We spent three nights in Cefalu and loved every minute of it! The apartment is up a few flights of stairs but well worth the climb (we traveled pretty light so it didn’t matter). The view – wow was the first thing we said when we saw the terrace and that view. The bedroom, terrace, bathroom and kitchen are very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning on the terrace and had dinner out there one evening. Cefalu is a very nice town with a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the apartment. The beach is an easy walk and the entrance to La Rocca is just up the street (a must do!).

Ottimo soggiorno.
Casa in pratica in pieno centro, molto tranquilla, bellissimo il terrazzo e comode le due stanze. Funzionale la cucina con tutte le cose necessarie. Da migliorare la copertura del terrazzo che purtroppo avendo beccato una settimana piovosa in alcuni momenti era inutilizzabile e problematico raggiungere il bagno che è esterno.

Leben im Freien - Wunderbare Dachterasse
Alles war sehr gut, die Vermieter, die darunter im Haus wohnen, waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auffällig war die tolle Sauberkeit, alles funktionierte und das Internet war schnell genug, Sendungen/Filme zu streamen. Die Dachterasse ist mit ihrer Aussicht grandios. Man bekommt Feste/Feuerwerk mit, sonst war es ruhig. Die Lage ist super zentral. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Wunderschöne ruhige Altstadtwohnung mit großer Dachterrasse und tollem Blick aufs Meer
Das Feriendomizil ist unbeschreiblich schön und einfach wunderbar. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sie sprechen italienisch und deutsch. Wir (drei Erwachsene) haben unsere Woche Urlaub im Juli 2018 dort in vollen Zügen genossen und wären sehr gerne noch länger geblieben. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, am Abend, nach Ausflügen in die Umgebung, an diesen ruhigen Ort zurückzukehren und unser Abendessen auf der Terrasse zuzubereiten und zu genießen. Dafür war in der Küche im Freien alles Notwendige vorhanden. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt von Cefalù. Es sind nur kurze Wege bis in die quirligen Gassen der Altstadt mit den vielen Bars und Restaurants und kleinen Läden oder zum Sandstrand. Die Wohnung entsprach voll und ganz der Beschreibung. Sie war sehr sauber und es fehlte uns an Nichts. Am Morgen konnten wir machmal beim Frühstück auf der Terrasse die Bergziegen beobachten und am Abend bei einem Glas Wein den Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer beobachten. Wir hatten außerdem das Glück eine totale Mondfinsternis dort erleben zu dürfen. Mond und Mars standen am Himmel über uns während wir auf den Liegestühlen auf der Dachterrasse lagen. Das war traumhaft schön. Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in der Dachterrassenwohnung mit dem Blick auf Rocca auf der einen Seite und dem atemberaubenden Blick über die Stadt aufs blau-türkis-schimmernde Meer auf der anderen Seite. Vielen lieben Dank an unsere liebevollen Vermieter für diesen tollen Aufenthalt über den Altstadtdächern von Cefalú und hoffentlich bis bald.

Wonderful week in a lovely well equipped and spotless apartment
After getting over the shock of climbing lots of steps with heavy suitcases (yes we packed too much) we realised we were literally on the roof of a block of flats with the most wonderful view of Cefalù. We were a little worried about the rooms as they didn’t have windows but they didn’t need them as the covered terrace gave a sense of being in the open without being exposed at all. Even when there was an incredible thunderstorm which we watched in awe as it headed towards us we stayed dry and warm. The apartment is in the centre of the old town and ideally located for the beach, town and climbing the Rocca. Because we were so high up the noise was a minimum and limited to seagulls house martins and mountain goats! The hosts have made it very comfortable with everything you need for a lovely stay. Thanks so much - we will be back!

Un appartement atypique très bien placé
Nous avons passé 5 nuits à Cefalu. La ville est très sympa avec une belle plage, des petites rues typiques, des places ombragées agréables, bref la dolce vitta italienne qu'on aime. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires. Ils parlent italien et allemand (pas anglais), mais nous avons réussi à nous comprendre à peu près. L'appartement nous a surpris car il n'a pas de pièce à vivre intérieure. Les chambres (un peu sombres) sont d'un côté du toit terrasse, la salle de bains et les toilettes de l'autre côté (si vous avez un petit besoin nocturne, il faut passer par dehors en pyjama !). La cuisine est une cuisine d'été extérieure. S'il fait beau et chaud, c'est très sympa. Si vous partez hors-saison, mieux vaut prévoir sa petite laine... Nous avons eu plutôt du beau temps donc c'était très sympa de prendre son petit déjeuner en profitant de la vue qui est splendide. Tout se fait à pied car c'est hyper central. Bref nous avons passé un super séjour mais il vaut mieux avoir compris l'organisation des lieux.

Unique property in Cefalu old town
We really enjoyed our stay in this unique apartment and have no hesitation in recommending both the property and the town. The property was potlessly clean and well maintained. The views from the large terrace are fantastic. The owners are really lovely and they couldn’t do enough to help make our stay a pleasant experience. Cefalu in a nice town, especially the old town with many good restaurants and cafe bars. Can’t wait to return to both Cefalu and the property.

Sehr schön
Das Domizil besteht aus zwei Schlafzimmer, einer überdachten Küche, einem Bad (Dusche u. WC) sowie einer großen Terrasse. D.h. Wenn man nur ein Zimmer mietet, muß man sich Küche Bad u. Terrasse mit fremden Persone teilen. Die Lage ist sehr gut u. ruhig,. Die Vermieter nett u. hilfsbereit.

Vielen Dank für die Bewertung, aber ich wollte darauf hinweisen, dass, wenn Sie ein Zimmer mieten, die andere nicht vermietet ist, aber geschlossen gehalten, um nicht auf die Terrasse und das Bad mit einem Fremden zu teilen, werden die beiden Räume geöffnet zusammen nur, wenn es Leute der gleichen Familie.

Sehr schöne Terrasse mit kleinem Schlafraum
Wir waren zu zweit in der Casa Fiore, daher blieb der zweite Schlafraum verschlossen. Ein Wohnzimmer gibt es nicht, die Küche befindet sich ebenfalls auf der Terrasse und das Bad ist einmal quer über die Terrasse. Wir haben uns uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit, jederzeit ansprechbar und sprachen gut deutsch. Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus sind eher schlecht, bei Ankunft hatte der Vermieter sein geparktes Auto für uns weggefahren, nach der ersten Benutzung war dieser Parkplatz aber natürlich weg. Allerdings gibt es um die Ecke (für kleine Autos) durchaus Parkplätze, ist aber nicht ganz einfach. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr schön, man ist schnell in der Altstadt und auch am Strand. Wir würden gerne wieder dorthin fahren.

Sehr toller Ausblick !
Die Terasse ist sehr groß und hat eine tolle Aussicht. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und in der Küche alles vorhanden, dazu ist die Wohnung ist sehr zentral zum Strand und zur Innenstadt. Vermieter sind sehr nett und immer ansprechbar. Leider sind keine Parkplätze vorhanden , daher nicht zu empfehlen mit den Auto anzureisen, da auch kaum Parkplätze in der Nähe vorhanden sind . Insgesamt aber ein toller Urlaub!

Appartement conforme aux photos Grande terrasse agréable en été avec belle vue sur la mer Appartement propre et simple avec 2 chambres mansardées Mais en été on est surtout sur la terrasse Des lave linge, machine à vaisselle et four/ micro ondes seraient bienvenus Propriétaires très gentils et disponibles en dessous

Perfetto
Ottimo posto. Ottima accoglienza da parte dei proprietari: sono disponibilissimi. La casa si trova in un punto strategico , 1 minuto e ti ritrovi in centro 3 minuti e sei già a mare. Provare per credere. La casa è tale e quale alle foto: la terrazza è un posto magnifico dal quale potete ammirare albe e tramonti e il panorama mozzafiato fa da sfondo alle belle serate estive. Ottima location per viaggi sia in famiglia che tra giovani. Eravamo in 5 e siamo pienamente soddisfatti.

Tolle Aussicht in mitten der Altstadt
Die Besitzer sind sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr authentisch und direkt unterhalb des Rocca, fantastisch. Ganz speziell ist die Küche im Freien. Die Aussicht über die Stadt ist atemberaubend. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können die Uterkunft wärmstes empfehlen. Vielen Dank und hoffentlich bis bald.

What a find!
This is our fourth trip to Cefalu and our fourth apartment. What a find! The owners were extremely kind and helpful, meeting us and showing us around the apartment as has been described in other reviews. Everything was impeccably clean and - for the first time ever- we were given a change of bedding and towels after the first week - much appreciated. We were so comfortable and secluded that we rarely ventured out to eat. With stunning views, sunsets and cool breezes we were more than happy to eat on our terrace. (Having said that, Cefalu has many lovely places to eat). We can only endorse everything that has already been said and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. However, if steep steps or low ceilings prove an issue, you may want to consider somewhere else.

Urlaub über den Dächern
Wir haben wundervolle 10 Tage in der Casa Fiore verbracht. Die Besitzer haben uns mit Wein und Marmelade willkommen geheißen und außerdem noch ihr selbstgemachtes Olivenöl zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir haben die ganze Zeit auf der riesigen Terrasse zugebracht zwischen dem wunderbaren Meeresblick und der steilen Rocca. Auf dieser konnte man beim Kochen zuweilen die Bergziegen beobachten. Zimmer und Küche sind mit allem ausgestattet, was nötig ist. Zum Zentrum der Altstadt sind es nur einige Stufen hinunter (Piazza Garibaldi und Corso Ruggero). Der Bahnhof, genauso wie der Strand, ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Wir sind große Fans von Cefalu und nun auch von Casa Fiore und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Urlaub dort!

Un posto meraviglioso al cuore di Cefalù - Siamo sicuri di tornare in 2018!
This apartment at the third floor in the heart of wonderful Cefalù - and with this magnificent panoramic view - we lived for three days. And this was much too short! - Next year we are surely going to stay for a week - or longer! - Thank you very much to our hosts - Gunda and Kjeld from Denmark

There's no better way to enjoy the sun, sea, and fantastic vistas of Cefalu. Truly excellent!
I travelled with my girlfriend and parents to Cefalu for 3 nights after my sister's wedding in Ireland. Giuseppe met us near the train station and took us on the short walk to the apartment (less than 10 minutes). He and his wife were incredibly friendly and presented us with wine and homemade marmalade as welcome gifts. We felt pretty much right at home immediately. The space was immaculately clean and even bigger than it seemed in the photos (approx. 500-600 sq ft of outdoor space alone). With more than 180 degrees of Tyrrhenian sea view in front of you, and the Rocca soaring upward right behind the outdoor kitchen, it's hard to describe the beauty of the place. We came to Cefalu to enjoy the sun, the sea, and the stars after some less desirable weather in Ireland. So the terrace was perfect for us. It was a joy to source delicious local ingredients from the town, cook our meals outside, and eat them overlooking the sea at sunset. At night we enjoyed views of the stars and the Rocca. The height of the terrace lends it to cooling sea breezes in the hot afternoons, and the canopy provides ample shade when needed. All appliances worked perfectly and the kitchen was well equipped. The rooms were comfortable with good a/c. The location was also excellent. Less than ten minutes walk from the station, less than 10 minutes walk from the beach, and less than ten minutes walk from the Duomo with its grand piazza. At the bottom of the steps to the apartment, just a minute or two away, is Piazza Garibaldi. Here there are a variety of pleasant dining and drinking options, lots of activity, and essential services like banking. The entrance to the Rocca trail leading up to the remains of the casa, with its incredible views of the north coast is just steps up the hill from the apartment. So speaking as three Canadians and one Japanese, this place was pretty much perfection.
