  • Visit The 1960`s Gem and you`ll be thrown back in time where everything was groovy! Everyone will enjoy the mid century touches throughout from the fab furnishings to the modern day essentials. Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood yet close to the main drag and interstate. You`ll dig the updated kitchen with quartz counters and orange glass backsplash as well as the far out updated bath and a half. All of the cool cats will hang on the backyard patio for highballs and hula hoop.

    This outta site gem will be a place you could call home for years! It`s spotless inside and out and the owner has thought of everything you`ll need to enjoy your stay from shampoo/conditioner, soaps, lotion & a hair dryer to retro snacks, water, soda & wine. Fully equipped kitchen with all the fab items you`ll need to make your favorite meal. Washer & dryer in the lower level. The peachy keen patio area will surely blow your mind with the relaxing atmosphere, grill & comfy furnishings....Pets allowed with approval.

    Guests will have the entire home to enjoy! If you need the garage please ask and the remote will be provided for your stay.

    Although I won`t be there to greet you personally, I`m only a message or phone call away and I answer quickly.

    The quiet neighborhood offers a perfect place to take long walks or you can head down to the Irish District on the corner of E Ave & 16th St. It features 3 bars and two have food. The Tic Toc Restaurant just re-opened (Corner of E Ave and 17th St. NE) Great tenderloins, cheese sticks & onion rings. Or if you want something a little more upscale and fun the New Bo District is just a short 8 -10 minute drive downtown. You`ll find, kitschy shops like Raygun , Almost Famous Ice Cream Shop and lots of other places to explore...

    Navigating Cedar Rapids is easy, 1st Ave is our main drag and with your phone`s GPS getting around town is a breeze. We have great Uber drivers too!
    Quiet time after 10 PM. Please be considerate of the neighbors. Up to two dogs are allowed in this property with approval but no cats. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Excellent rental. We loved the 60s decor. Definitely fun and welcoming and not a cold "rental" vibe. Very close to downtown Cedar Rapids. Easy parking. Close to a college (my daughter ran on the track for a workout). Very clean, many amenities, plenty of clean towels. The beds are very firm (which we loved, and slept great). The host answered all of my questions quickly and gave excellent recommendations on where to shop and where to eat. Would stay again!

House was cute and clean. Only issue we encountered was with our service dogs. We sent a message that we were traveling with my daughter’s service dogs as the listing said to do. The Host didn’t see it so then it was a mess trying to get the fees paid that she required

Very quiet neighborhood. This gem is very close to down town. It is a great place to stay if you are attending a concert at the McGraff Amphitheater.

This was our second stay at this home. The colors and the vibe of the decor are really nice. We are very comfortable at this rental. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, pleasant outdoor patio and backyard. The dog enjoyed his walks to the park nearby. Lovely neighborhood. We’ll return again next year.

We loved this place! Awesome theme and decor. Perfect for our stay. Excellent heating and very comfortable beds. The dogs loved the fenced yard. Friendly neighbors, too. Would love to revisit for a longer stay. Thanks Kathleen!

Great place and great host! My husband and I had a longterm stay here (three months) while house hunting. The house is super cute, clean, and stocked with everything you need and then some. Kathleen, the host, was very responsive and friendly. The neighbors and neighborhood are great too. I enjoyed many long walks in the area and there’s quick access to the CeMar Trail. We pretty much became regulars at the nearby Moco Hotdog Bar and Old Neighborhood Pub, which are great local joints for getting an insiders feel of Cedar Rapids. We also really enjoyed the central location of this home, which allows us to conveniently venture around, from downtown to Marion and beyond.

What a gem!

This place is on my top 10 as it has everything you need with a cool vibe. Comfy, clean and loaded with extras! Great neighbors, conveniently located and professionally hosted. I came back home and immediately shopped for similar decor!

Wonderful Experience

My spouse and I traveled to Cedar Rapids to spend some time with our granddaughter who attends Coe College. We stayed for 3 nights. The fenced in back yard was great for my 2 dogs. Kathleen was very responsive to all questions that I had. We are planning to fo back next year when our granddaughter attends Coe College again.

It was a nice clean property and the host is very nice. It’s a quiet area with a fence backyard for kids to play and there is a park just down the street walk able. If you go to Cedar Rapids differently try emilee we’re gonna be eating dinner Emily‘s Hideaway Restaurant .
