Leo's Lodge was a wonderful place for a quiet getaway. The house is spacious, the kitchen is well appointed, and the hot tub was enjoyed by our party of 5 adults. The hot tub could easily fit a couple more people in it, too. The house is tucked away in the woods, so the environment is quiet & serene. This is really an ideal house for a summertime rental, as it has fantastic outdoor spaces. We rented in December when the pool is not heated- and we considered using it as a cold plunge (but opted not to). The house is sparsely furnished, and we think that's probably because summertime renters will spend most of their days outdoors by the pool.There are many stairs throughout the house- which the description is clear about, and having bedrooms on different levels offered us privacy. A few little quirks- all the kitchen & bathroom counters were rather tall, even for me (I'm 5'9", by partner is 6'4"). The gas fireplace is connected to the Nest thermostat, and turns off when the inside temp reaches the setting (we rented in December & hoped to enjoy the fireplace for ambiance more than heat, but it continually turned off on us). Finally, there are an abundance of light switches everywhere, and it would be helpful if they were labeled. The quirks certainly didn't detract from our enjoyment of the house... I just wanted to mention them so other renters can be aware. It is still a 5-star property!

Lovely weekend away in Guerneville with friends

We had a blast staying at this house. There's tons of space inside this house, the main kitchen / living room area is perfect for gathering, and the deck pool hottub outside is so great for enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. I will stay here again next time I want to stay in Guerneville with a big group

Review

Good overall. More attention should be made to ensure property is ready for next guest. There were 4 or 5 garbage bags left by the previous guest. The main stereo system was off line. Although they did try and assist us, we were not able to use the system at all. Given the additional amount paid for services, these things should not occur.

Perfect place to stay

We had a wonderful time at Leo’s Lodge. The house is really awesome, the communication wit the owners was easy and I would highly recommend staying here. The house is well appointed and provided us with everything we needed during our stay.

Great place for a reunion

We really enjoyed meeting up with our friends for a birthday week. The house is a wonderful place to hang out with friends. It was a warm week (one day was 102!) so the lack of AC definitely was noticeable, but it cools off a lot in the evenings. There are a lot of stairs so if you have small or old dogs like mine, it’s not super optimal. The only negative of the week was that the kitchen wasn’t very clean, but that’s not the fault of the homeowner. We’d return to Leo’s Lodge!

Lovely setting

We had a wonderful time! The house had everything we needed for our weekend away. It felt very private while still being close to town. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The host was very responsive. Thank you for having us!

Perfect Escape

This was a much needed escape and the perfect place to recharge with family and friends. This rental had everything that we needed and comfortably hosted 3 families. The outdoor patio and pool area really make you feel as though you’ve been transported to an outdoor retreat. Would highly recommend!

Leo’s Lux Lodge

Our Bay Area family (4 adults, 4 kids) had a lovely four night getaway at Leo’s Lodge. It felt both luxurious and cozy. The home is spacious and modern...the well stocked kitchen, contemporary appliances and speakers throughout make it very easy to cook and entertain. The cabin-like property is nestled up against the trees and offers great privacy, that’s the cozy part. The pool is perfect for young kids and cooling off. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Amazing home!

Leo’s lodge was perfect! It was exactly as listed and accommodated our group of 7 with more than enough space. My husband appreciated the tech and being able to connect to the Sonos. While it was too cold to enjoy the pool and spa, it was very inviting and we would love to rent this house again in the summer. The management company was also great And responded to emails and calls promptly. A tip: you may want to rent a car. We didn’t have one and found out that uber is not supposed to come to Guerneville. On one or two occasions we were lucky to get an uber to accept a ride but it was very infrequent. Luckily we got a few local numbers for taxis to get us to Santa Rosa but they were double the price of an uber. All in all, we had an amazing trip and look forward to visiting again soon.

Beautiful house and location

The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. As we were driving through the neighborhood, we thought we might be packed close in to other houses, but since this property is at the end of the street literally jammed to against a very steep hillside, it’s actually very private. A very cool amenity is the hidden speaker system in every room in the house controlled by a tablet - we took turns setting the mood music. The outdoor space is substantial and comfortable, although it was too cold for us to use the pool (but the hot tub is great!). Ample, well-stocked kitchen and nice furnishings throughout. My only minor criticism is that the bed in my room seemed a little on the cheap side — kind of springy for my tastes, but everything else was perfect. Will definitely check availability again if we come back to Guerneville.

Relax amongst the trees

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was spacious and well stocked with essentials for cooking and grilling. The pool was excellent although a little chilly as it is not heated. The jacuzzi and hammock were lovely.
