This property is just gorgeous. It really is 3 minutes to the steps to the beach and a two minute drive to a beach without steps. The whole area is super friendly for people and especially pets. Miles of leash-free dog beach. Plus an off-leash grassy dog park nearby. The pictures in the listing are 100% accurate. The rental has everything you need. Look in every cabinet before you go shopping for supplies. All the staples are there. Even coffee and filters. Cindy has thought of everything and put thoughtful little labels around. The beds are comfortable, and the linens are luxurious. We went to the beach 10 out of 12 days, sometimes twice. Mornings are foggy this time of year but most days afternoons are sunny. Be sure to bring warm sweaters. Cindy fixed any little problem immediately. She is so accommodating. We enjoyed driving up Big Sur, exploring little towns around, which are also dog and pedestrian friendly. We recommend Hidden Kitchen Cafe and the Brown Butter Cookie Company. Lots of restaurants nearby. Fortunately, we got enough steps in so didn’t get too fat.

Welcome to an oceanfront oasis in beautiful Cayucos, CA...The owner, is very warm & welcoming and her thoughtful touches throughout this beachy cottage makes you feel very pampered & looked after...Cindy even had a bottle of wine waiting for us!Do you like to cook? The pantry is well stocked from cooking oils to a nice array of spices...all you need are the essentials! The cookware is lovely as well.Views are beautiful & we enjoyed long walks on the beach daily!Beds are very comfy & love the linens...Lots of places to be outdoors...Everything was fabulous!I would be blessed to return with my hubby!Thanks for everything!Jodi BraunPortland, OR

We have stayed at Cindy’s place for the past five years and absolutely love it every year! It’s super clean, wonderful location, and Cindy is always so accommodating. We are excited to come back next year for year six - it is truly our happy place for our family.

The property is very nice, beautifully remodeled, clean and just as described. The owner provided everything we could ever need. It's a little noisy on the front porch due to the proximity to the highway, however it was not unexpected and the close proximity to the beach and the beautiful view makes up for it 100%. I would definitely recommend the property.

This is a beautiful cottage with upgrades galore. We were very surprised to find comfortable living area, fully equipped kitchen with new upgrades plus two full bathrooms with access from the hallway. A full size washer and dryer is inside. The front deck offered up great ocean views!! It was perfect for us seniors and it would be wonderful for a family as well. The bedrooms each has a slider to the back patio with fire pit. Hostess was available via text and extremely nice to us! Thank you Cindy

The place was great. Cindy is a good communicator who made everything easy. This is just across the highway from the best dog beach (leash-free) in CA so our dog had a fabulous time, as did we.

My husband, our two littles, and lab had a wonderful stay at Cindy’s place! Everything about it was perfect. The bedrooms were nice and roomy, kitchen completely updated with beautiful appliances, TVs in each room as well as front. Charming and exceptionally clean. We had one full day of rain but managed to get out and still enjoy. I spent nearly 20 years in Cayucos 50 years ago and I’ve been back many many times since but never stayed in Cayucos. Now I will. The owner was congenial, communicative, and very honest. We had no surprises. It was just perfect.

We wanted to escape the Texas summer and choose Cindy's Beach cottage in Cayucos. It was a perfect choice. The unit was just perfect for us, bright, clean, fully equipped with everything and without a doubt the very best rental we have ever had and we have had many. We loved the location, though the highway noise took a bit getting use to when on the deck. The view of Morro Rock and Cayucos totally made up for it. It was a short walk or drive to the dog friendly beach and we walked it almost every morning. This location was just perfect for traveling to Cambria, San Simeon, Paso, SLO, Avila Beach and points south. We never lacked for anything to do. We will definitely go back to visit Cindy and Greg's Shore Thing, we loved it! Thank you for having us for the month.

We had a great time here. We have 2 kids with autism and 2 dogs and the house was very sensory friendly. There was a dead spider in one of the bedroom windows when we arrived, but luckily it was dead so it was easy to take care of. This was our first vacation as a family and my first vacation in 8 years so I would definitely recommend staying here

Our second time staying at Cindy’s VRBO. Great view of the Rock and white water on clear days. We spotted a bunch of whales the very first night from the balcony while we ate dinner. Stayed for 16 days as it’s been well over 110 in Las Vegas where we live. Plenty of everything we needed. Cindy is a great host and had no issues with our 100 lb Lab Bo. Limited amount of sunshine but that had nothing to do with the awesome house or our host. We will go back again next year. Love the small towns, nature and so few people.

We loved the proximity to the beach. Cayucos and Morro Bay were both nearby too. A wonderful, very clean home with a front deck for a view of the ocean. Highly recommend. Cindy, the host, could not have been nicer!

This was our second time staying at this property. It is so lovely and convenient, we couldn’t wait to come back. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. Everything was perfect during our vacation. Thanks to the owners for everything they have done to make this an excellent beach retreat.

This is our 4th time staying at this location and once again loved every moment. Kids picked up surfing last summer while staying and surfed the whole week this summer. Cindy is a wonderful and welcoming host! We will most definitely be back!
