"Very tired , everywhere , paint peeling from walls and windows, cracked bathroom sink . Suitcase scuffs on stair walls. Only toast ( soggy ) available for those not choosing a full English breakfast. Bar area only suitable for tall people , very raised seats. Parking very difficult , didn’t dare move car once parking found. No extra toiletries in bathroom . Permanent stain on bathroom floor behind toilet . This building could be magnificent with some TLC."

"The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. "Very nice apartment convenient for local attractions. Walking distance of Whalebone Arch. If, like me, you don’t have a var, it's within walkin distance of supermarket, local tourist bus which goes to all local attractions, including the Abbey. Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base.
