Great stay with family at Villa Vernazza

The house and grounds are beautiful! Especially the patio with the lovely view of the mountains and sea!! I would have liked the home to be more carefully cleaned. The owners were very responsive to our questions. The pool was really nice and the location was great for all our activities. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby.

Amazing Italy Vacation

The Villa was everything that we expected. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room to relax. The view from the Veranda is amazing. Check in process was easy, Giuseppe and Pia greeted us upon arrival and departure . They walked us through the Villa amenities, were responsive with our inquiries, helped with dinner reservations and dinner recommendations, thank you. When you are initially looking for the Villa, while on Provinciale, you will want to turn at the white House with cactus plants and follow the winding short road the the Villa gates. Overall we had a great time at the Villa and recommend staying there.

Great views, lots of space, needs a bit of upkeep.

Very lovely home, stunning views from the deck. Great communication with host. The place had plenty of space for two families, total of 8 people. Great to come back to a refreshing pool after a hot day and watch the sunset from the deck. We wish the place was a little bit cleaner and more maintained. Prior reviews do mention leaking shower and we have experienced it as well. One of the bedrooms had pet hair all over the sheets, likely from a cat that lives on the property. Kind of an issue of you have cat allergies. We ended up washing it ourselves in the end. Overall we were happy about our vacation stay there and would recommend it to others.

Perfect Stay

Spectacular Views from this Spacious Castlenuovo Magra Villa

My wife and I along with two other couples spent five nights in this stately villa. While the roads leading to it are full of twists, bumps and hairpin turns, upon arrival you can fully appreciate the magnificent views as well as the home’s design and attention to detail. Franco and Pia are fabulous hosts and provided prompt answers to all of our queries along with restaurant suggestions and directions when needed. One night they arranged for a talented chef to prepare an exceptional dinner with wine pairings which was a definite highlight of our stay. I should mention that this property is not close to Cinque Terre but you can get there via the train system by driving to the La Spezia station which is about 18 miles away. From there you can travel by train to all 5 villages. There is also a nearby winery (‘Ca Lunae) which produces fantastic wines and offers tours and tastings which we highly recommend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Villa Vernazza and created many lasting memories!

Sarzana stay

We loved this place, the pool and property are beautiful, the communication with Pia and Giuseppe was very good. We had a total of 7 people over 2 weeks. I would never stay here without a car. Parking is easy, many yummy places to eat near the villa (5 minutes), grocery store is close, train, 10 minutes. We did day trips to Lucca, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, La Spezia, Carrera marble mines, and one overnight to Santa Margherita. The kitchen is perfect, the patio is magic, the outdoor shower is where most of us wanted to shower. Views are spectacular. The pasta class and cooking night with Antonella was magic. We also loved going to the local "bars" with the locals for Appertivo, so fun.Every morning we would head out to a local bakery to get fresh croissants and donuts. We had great weather, one day of rain in 14 days. We would love to return some day. Khalifa is the property on site manager and he is takes care of the grounds and pool and keeps it looking pristine.

Family chill time

The Villa was exactly as we expected only more so! Pia and Giovanni couldn't have been more welcoming and the Villa felt very homely and relaxing in its eclectic fabulous decor. We felt at home right away which was good as we were there for four weeks! We had family and friends stay at different times and all felt relaxed and enjoyed themselves either swimming in the huge lovely pool( which has a diving board) or doing basketball hoops or playing table tennis. There a masses of room so you don't feel on top of each other . Some of us did some sightseeing but the views and sunsets from the villa whilst having a barbecue or taking advantage of the chef and cooking lessons created some fabulous memories. Our hosts and concierge , Khalifa, were brilliant and answered any queries very quickly. I can't recommend highly enough !

Great private Villa with amazing long-range views of Tuscany!

We spent a week in late May in this beautiful Villa. We really enjoyed the amazing views of the valley, surrounding mountains and the sea! The villa is very private with no close neighbors, a wonderful private pool, garden, fresh herbs and an olive grove. Giuseppe was a wonderful host who gave us great recommendations for excursions, shopping and dining.

Ideal für einen Urlaub in größerer Runde

Die Villa von Pia und Giuseppe liegt wunderschön am Hügel mit einem tollen Blick über das Tal und das Meer. Das großzügige Haus, die große Terrasse mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und der schöne Garten mit dem großen Pool bieten für jeden ein schönes Plätzchen zum erholen. Pia und Giuseppe haben uns tolle Restauranttipps gegeben und auch gleich die Reservierung für uns übernommen! Vielen Dank nochmal dafür an unsere sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber! Man fühlt sich rundum willkommen!! Dank dem guten Geist des Hauses ist der Garten topp gepflegt und sogar um die Entsorgung des Mülls wird sich gekümmert. Ein besonderes Highlight für uns war der Abend mit unserer Privatköchin, Antonella, die uns auf unserer Terrasse mit einem super Menü verwöhnt hat! Auch hierfür lieben Dank an unsere Gastgeber- wir hätten uns keinen besseren Ort für unseren Familienurlaub wünschen können!!

A stunning villa inside and out that is perfect for families or a few friends.

I booked this beautiful villa to celebrate my Birthday with friends & family. 10 of us plus my 2 year old grandaughter. The hosts - Giuseppe and Pia booked a local Restaurant for us prior to our trip and the evening of our first day there we hired their Chef to cook for us at the villa, which was just perfect. We didn't hire any cars so it was really helpful that the Concierge drove us to the local supermarket to stock up with supplies and also to & from the local train station- Sarzana on a few occasions. We spent one day relaxing by the pool which was perfect. The location is remote but less than 10 min drive to Sarzana. Taxi @€20 and Taxi to La Spezia @€40/€50. Stunning views and lovely walks locally. Can't wait to go back!!!

Traumurlaub in Traumvilla

Wir waren eine gemischte Gruppe von 8 Personen im Alter von 30-57 Jahren. Die Villa ist perfekt für uns geeignet gewesen, wir haben uns phantastisch erholt! Egal, ob beim kochen, lesen, Aperol- Spritz trinken oder quatschen vor dem behaglichen Kamin - es war für jede Stimmung etwas dabei! Dank Kalifa, der guten Seele des Hauses, mussten wir uns nicht um die Entsorgung des Mülls kümmern, und kleinere Reparaturen (Auswechseln einer Glühbirne) wurden sofort erledigt. Die Anfahrt über die steile Auffahrt war etwas schwierig, aber wir haben es sogar mit einem 8-Sitze-Bus geschafft! Vielen Dank, Giuseppe und Pia, dass ihr uns euer tolles Haus anvertraut habt! Die traumhaft schöne Aussicht werden wir so schnell nicht vergessen!

Amazing Villa above the Beach

We just had our family reunion at Giuseppe’s villa. It was amazing and the house worked very well for my dad (81) to my youngest daughter (5). The clean pool kept the kids entertained while the adults had a drink on the many decks. The location is great with good takeout food and local markets within 5min driving distance and the beach 15min away. There also is a nice historic castle and village right above the villa. Giuseppe was very helpful and replied to my many questions within 5mins. We loved it.

Wunderschön!

Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub Anfang Juni 2022 in der Villa verbracht. Drei Generationen, unsere Mutter (77 Jahre), drei Teenager (im Alter von 14-17Jahren), drei Erwachsene (im Alter von 42-53 Jahren) und unsere Hündin waren dabei. Schon bei unserer Ankunft hat uns die Villa verzaubert und total begeistert. Das absolute Highlight ist die Aussicht von der großen Terrasse, egal ob bei Tag oder Nacht. Dieser Ausblick macht einen sprachlos, man findet nur schwer Worte dafür... Zwischen Olivenbäumen, Weinbergen und einer wahren Blumenpracht rund um den Garten, haben wir unsere Zeit verbracht und uns vom Duft des Jasmins und Lavendels verzaubern lassen. Für unsere Teenager war der Pool mit Sprungbrett einfach perfekt, aber auch unserer 77 jährigen Mutter war das Baden im Pool durch den leichten Treppeneinstieg möglich. Die Zimmer sind alle wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet, jedes Zimmer verfügt über ein schönes Badezimmer. Die Räume sind sehr sinnvoll aufgeteilt, so dass sich jeder auch mal zurückziehen und ausruhen kann. Die Bilder entsprechen der Realität! Auch unsere Hündin fühlte sich nach kurzer Zeit sehr wohl, sie liebte es durch den komplett eingezäunten Garten zu streifen. Hundespaziergänge vom Haus weg sind schwierig, da gibt es nur die steile Auffahrt, die zur Villa führt, aber möglich. Wir haben uns jeden Morgen zum Hundespaziergang Richtung Wasserfall aufgemacht und konnten dort wunderschön zwischen Olivenbäumen und Weinbergen laufen (ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt). Die Lage der Villa ist ideal: ca. 10 Autominuten zum nächsten Strand oder Einkaufszentrum, ca. 15 Autominuten in die nächst größere Stadt, eine Stunde Autofahrt nach Cinque Terre. Es ist wirklich auch ein Erlebnis im kleinen "Tante Emma Laden" im Dorf einzukaufen und anschließend bei einem Espresso in der gegenüberliegenden Bar das italienische Leben zu genießen. Wenn man die Villa von Giuseppe und Pia besucht, sollte man die Gelegenheit nutzen und sich von der Köchin Eva bekochen lassen! Mit ihrer sehr freundlichen und offenen Art zauberte sie uns ein hervorragendes drei Gänge-Menü. Auch besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit ist der Hausmeister der Villa, der sich um alles kümmert! Die Hausbesitzer Giuseppe und Pia sind wunderbare Menschen. Sie haben uns nach einer langen Autofahrt herzlich in der Villa empfangen und waren während unseres Aufenthalts für Fragen oder Anliegen immer erreichbar. Nochmals ein herzliches Danke für alles❤️! 25esimo anniversario con amici

In occasione del nostro 25 esimo anniversario di matrimonio abbiamo trascorso un lungo week end con amici in questa magnifica villa. La villa e’ molto particolare, gode di una splendida vista ed e’ veramente confortevole e spaziosa (noi eravamo in 5 coppie e siamo stati benissimo) I proprietari Pia e Giuseppe, gentilissimi, ci hanno indicato luoghi da visitare (e’ una zona che ha tantissimo da offrire per noi turisti) ristoranti dove cenare e soprattutto ci hanno aiutato ad organizzare una cena veramente ottima, a casa, per festeggiare assieme ai nostri amici questo anniversario speciale. La cuoca simpatica e molto brava ha cucinato una cena di pesce stupenda e Kalifa, il custode, e’ stato super disponibile per rendere il nostro soggiorno piacevole. Che dire di più......saremmo rimasti lì per tutta la settimana e se capiterà l’occasione ci ritorneremo con piacere

beautiful holiday villa

We spent one week in the villa and had a wonderful time. It's perfect for groups or families, with a huge pool and spacious terasse, on which we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Giuseppe and his wife Pia are great hosts and even arranged a marvellous sailing day trip around Porto Venere, thank you very much!

Un fantastico weekend

La villa è davvero stupenda, tutto come descritto e dal vivo ancora più bella. Eravamo un gruppo di 13 amici e abbiamo passato un weekend lungo incredibile, godendoci in pieno la casa e i luoghi nei dintorni. Pia e Giuseppe sono stati disponibilissimi e gentilissimi dal primo istante, anche prima di prenotare, rispondendo a tutte le info richieste. Consiglierei questa proprietà a chiunque.
