Der (sehr zurückhaltende) Vermieter wohnt im Nachbarhaus und kann tolle Empfehlungen zu Restaurants und Ausflugszielen geben. Drei schön kühle Schlafzimmer. [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautiful natural stone house with private garden, pool, barbecue and panoramic terrace. The (very reserved) landlord lives in the neighbouring house and can give great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. Three nice cool bedrooms.

We had wonderful holidays at Il Nido ! The house is really great, and the owners, Paolo and Maria Cristina, who live just next to il Nido, really make you feel welcome ! The swimming pool is small but nice, and our children much enjoyed it ! The garden is very well maintained by Paolo, and is very pleasant. The area is superb, nature is preserved, and it is a pleasure to be in Tuscany while not seeing too many tourists. We visited Lucca (not far), Pisa, and even Cinque Terre. We hope we will get a chance to rent this house again !

We had wonderful holidays at Il Nido ! The house is really great, and the owners, Paolo and Maria Cristina, who live just next to il Nido, really make you feel welcome ! The swimming pool is small but nice, and our children much enjoyed it ! The garden is very well maintained by Paolo, and is very pleasant. The area is superb, nature is preserved, and it is a pleasure to be in Tuscany while not seeing too many tourists. We visited Lucca (not far), Pisa, and even Cinque Terre. We hope we will get a chance to rent this house again !

Villa Il Nido, is the peferct base to explore North Tuscany. The owners make you feel very welcome. The garden is well kept and the house was spotlessly clean. However the furniture has seen better days, but is comfortable enough. The property could benefit from mosquito nets and air con, but don't let this put you off as it is a lovely spacious house. The Villa is situated at the top of a hill and has excellent views across Castelnuovo. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the local shops,bar and resturants. There are many small and picturesque villages to explore and because its off the beaten track , prices are very reasonable.eg 6 euro for a pizza , 2 euro for coffee and cake. The train station is 5 mins drive and has direct links to Lucca and Pisa and one change to get to Florence. All in all a lovely place to stay... we will be returning.

Villa Il Nido was a beautiful villa - We stayed in Serendipity during the first week of October. The property surrounding the villa was beautiful, well-maintained and we had a spectacular view. The inside of the house was also very nice and was certainly very roomy, although we did only have 4 adults staying there. Paulo was an informative host and provided plenty of info on things to see and do in nearby towns. Castelnuovo was a very short (at most 5 minutes) drive away and you could even walk to town but the walk back involved going up a fairly steep hill. Still, it was definately worth being up where we were for the view and the peaceful setting. As far as location, I enjoyed being in Castelnuovo in that it was a little off the beaten path - there was still plenty to do close by and other larger cities were not too far away, although the only one we went to while there was Lucca - our original intent was to take it easy and just enjoy the outdoors and dining available to us in Tuscany, which we did. There were plenty of restaurants in Castelnuovo but we did try to get out and try a few in neighboring towns also. Overall, I would recommend the villa to anyone wishing to stay for a while in Tuscany and would love to return sometime.

The situation was great, calm.. the place to be to visit LUCQUES, PISA and the alpuanes montaign.. THe house is great for a family with kids, and the swimming pool, even small was very appreciate by us. you need to have a good car to climb up the mountain to the house....GREAT
