Sehr ruhige Lage, etwas abenteuerliche Anfahrt, tolle Häuser, die für uns vier Familien perfekt gepasst haben. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und kindersicher abgetrennt, die Ausstattung einfach aber ausreichend, besonders toll ist der Pizzaofen. Auch die Waschmaschine und die Geschirrspüler sind echt klasse! Insgesamt eine tolle Location für eine entspannte Urlaubswoche.

Wir waren mit 3 Familien dort und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Autofahrt zum Anwesen gestaltete sich im Ort selbst, sehr schwierig da wir mit Kombis anreisten und die Straßen sehr sehr eng sind.

Heel geschikt voor familie’s. 3 aparte familieruimtes met top terras, zwembad en centrale keuken, barbecue en pizzaoven Heel leuk voor de kinderen, tafeltennis/tafelvoetbal etc. Fantastisch uitzicht en zwembad. De eigenaar (Alessandro) spreekt alleen Italiaans, maar hij is zeer gastvrij en heeft pizza’s in de oven gemaakt. Een absolute aanrader.

Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Wir waren positiv überrascht. Der Weg zu der Unterkunft war atemberaubend, nur das hätte sich schon gelohnt hinzufahren. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft war auch wunderschön. Die Unterkunft selbst war gut und wir konnten uns bequem aufteilen aber man verbringt den Aufenthalt sowieso meistens drausen. Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Was mir gefehlt hat waren paar mehr Mülleimer, wir haben im Cottage auf drei Stockwerke nur einen gehabt. Ich würde diese Unterkunft auf jedenfall noch mal mieten!!

Zomerverblijf 2022

Mooie locatie op berg , 3 afzonderlijke woningen ( 2 moderne en 1 rustieker gedeelte) , mooie uitzichten , kleine nadelen altijd naar binnen voor toilet en zwembad vanaf 16u30 in de schaduw. Maar voor de rest hebben we een super verblijf gehad

Huset var præcist som på fotos. Der var rent og pænt. Poolen var fantastisk og blev rengjort i den periode vi var der. Kan anbefale andre dette skønne sted.

Toller Pool und super Aussicht

Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur war hervorragend, es wurde bei allen Anliegen schnell und hilfreich reagiert. Auch unser Wunsch nach einer Abreise in der Nacht um den Rückreise-Stau am Samstag zu vermeiden, war kein Problem! Das Haus selbst ist sehr schön und die Außenanlagen mit Pool (die Beleuchtung ist super!), überdachter Terrasse und Tischtennisplatte ideal, um den ganzen Tag hier zu verbringen. Auch einen separaten Bereich mit Grill- und Pizzaofen gibt es, überdacht mit Waschbecken - eine richtige Außenküche. Die Lage in dem kleinen Ort oberhalb von Castelnuevo bringt eine tolle Aussicht mit sich. Die Zufahrtsstraßen sind schmal, aber der Bus fährt hier auch, also kein Problem. :-) Einzige „Wermutstropfen“: Einige Nachbarn in der Umgebung haben Hunde, die leider sehr viel bellen in der Nacht. Und die Pfannen sind alle schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und sollten ausgetauscht werden. Außerdem gibt es nur in zwei Schlafzimmern Fensterläden. Durch die Ost-Süd-Ausrichtung aller Zimmer ist es mit Sonnenaufgang sehr hell in den anderen Räumen, was dem Ausschlafen eher abträglich ist. ;-) Die Zufahrt mitten durch den kleinen Ort ist mit größeren Autos durchaus manchmal Maßarbeit, aber machbar. Alessandro ist sehr freundlich und hat uns Tomaten und Wein aus eigener Herstellung geschenkt. Leider kann er kein Englisch und wir kaum Italienisch - schade, dadurch waren die Gespräche immer sehr eingeschränkt. Alles in allem ein toller Urlaub in einem hübschen Haus mit fantastischem Blick und genialem Pool!

Charmant rustikales Bauernhaus in ruhiger Berglage

Das Objekt entsprach vollumfänglich unseren Vorstellungen von Toskana, Bergregion und Entschleunigung. Neben dem großen und gepflegten Pool war als besonderes Highlight ein Pizzaofen mit angrenzender Grillstelle vorhanden, was beides gerne und intensiv genutzt wurde. Nach einer abendlichen Einführung durch den Hausherrn haben wir unsere ersten Erfahrungen als Pizzabäcker mit Erfolg unter Beweis stellen können. Das Anwesen liegt wunderbar eingebettet in die Natur mit Panoramablick auf die umliegenden Berge. Als besonderer Hinweis sei erwähnt, dass die Zufahrt bis zum Haus sehr schmal und steil ist.

Amazing pool with a view at the edge of the world (well, village…)

Gragnanella is a tiny village (~85 inhabitants) in the hills. The house is just outside the village, overlooking the valley and mountains. The biggest asset is the pool and terrace overlooking all of that. From Gragnanella, you can easily go into the mountains, to the sea, to Lucca, or just enjoy the surroundings themselves. The host Alessandro is super friendly and helpful. Greatly recommended!

Traumhafte Unterkunft am Ende des Dorfes

Wir waren super begeistert. Allesandro hat uns sehr nett in Empfang genommen. Die Unterkunft hatte alles was wir brauchten. Geschirr, Handtücher, Pool... alles war da! Das Haus ist das letzte auf der Route ins Dorf und wir sind mit unserem Familienauto auch super durchgekommen. Wer mit einem Größeren Transporter kommt, kann auch 3min zu Fuß vom Haus weg parken. Die Gasse wird dafür am Ende vielleicht etwas zu eng. Ansonsten hat das Haus einen unfassbaren Charme und ist für die Toskana sicherlich normal. Wir haben es sehr genossen und danken Allesandro für seine Gastfreundschaft und das er sich so liebevoll um Gäste und sein Anwesen sorgt. Der Pool hat an jeder Stelle die gleiche Tiefe. Ca. 1,40 Meter würde ich schätzen. Zum Schwimmen super geeignet. Für Familien mit Schwimmhilfe, aber auch super geeignet.

Nice Toscany hangout

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is really nice and with temperatures >35° Celsius the pool was a real pleasure. The owner was super nice and the surronding beautiful. Travelling in the area takes forever due to crazy mountain roads. Don't bring your biggest car....

You need to book this !!

The property is up in the hills with views down onto Castelnuovo. The village is quiet and quaint, and the property is right at the end, keep going when you get there, there’s a few twists and turns before you arrive. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained, plenty of sun beds and chairs to relax on. To the side of the property is parking for a few cars and a BBQ area, get there to catch the last bits of sun. The property itself is of a good size, consisting of a single room downstairs, handy for the less able, upstairs a further three rooms. Two with king size beds and a room with bunk beds. Bedding is supplied. Two shower rooms again one up and one down. The living room is comfortable with a large TV, we didn’t use this room much at all. Kitchen is well equipped and found it had plenty of staple items left over from previous guests. Alessandro who owns the property lives nearby and visited us twice, his English is limited but we got by with some clever google translate. A true gent and a pleasure to speak to, we found him very helpful and nothing was too much for him. The local area is beautiful, we didn’t see too much as the kids enjoyed the pool too much and so did we. Castelnuovo has a Conad Supermarket, very well stocked and had everything we needed. Go to Gallicano for a larger Conad and diesel is so much cheaper here, up to 20c per litre. Barga is well worth a visit, make sure you make the trip up to the Duomo Di S. Cristoforo, For some amazing views. We visited the end of August 2019. Thank you for a lovely stay and we would highly recommend booking.

Schöner Blick von Pool und Veranda über das Tal des Serchio

Wir verbrachten im Sommer 2018 drei wunderschöne Wochen in dem Haus. Es liegt am Rande des kleinen Dorfes Garfagnella an einer steilen, schmalen Straße. Dahinter kommt nur noch der schöne und gepflegte Friedhof des Dorfes. Das Bauernhaus ist alt, aber innen und außen renoviert. Luxus braucht man nicht zu erwarten, die Dielen knarzen und die Wände sind dünn. Die Fenster sind klein, so bleibt es im Haus auch bei Sommerhitze erträglich. Auf der Veranda finden 6 bis 8 Personen gut Platz beim Essen, Spielen oder Lesen. Sie spendet Schatten und es geht immer ein leichter Luftzug. Die Pflanzen werden regelmäßig gewässert, Der Pool ist groß, Alessandro sieht regelmäßig nach dem rechten. Hier gibt es eine weitere Sitzgelegenheit. Um zur Veranda und zum Pool zu gelangen, muss man um das Haus herumgehen (der Hauseingang liegt zur Straße). Zwei Parkplätze sind vorhanden (reichen auch für drei Autos), Außerdem gibt es eine Schaukel und eine Tischtennisplatte, die wir im Juli wegen der Hitze leider nur selten nutzen konnten. Die Ausstattung ist einfach und zweckmäßig. Es ist alles da, bei acht Personen kommt man aber an Grenzen. Wir haben Messer nachgekauft, weil die einfach immer in Benutzung waren, also immer gleich den Geschirrspüler befüllen. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus, den besonderen Reiz macht die Lage mit dem wunderschönen Blick über das Tal.

Lovely stay, but ...

We had a fantastic time in Gragnanella, the house is cosy with a lot of space and the views are amazing. The garden and the pool, all good! But, we did find some things unconvenient, little things, easy to do something about. For example, there were only one oven mitten, but only pots with two handles(gets hot on a gas stove), and there were no dish towel, and no proper knife for vegetables and such (luckily, we had brought all three). Also, forks were _exactly_ eight, knives and spoons a few more. Only two wine glasses, one with damaged foot. And no pasta fork (???) On the more serious side was that one of the beds were unmade (that it didn't _get_ made is somewhat on us, because we didn't bother to tell), we did not get the promised weekly cleaning, and Allessandro one day filled up the pool so much that the skimmers didn't filtrate, so the pool was full of insects and we couldn't use it for one day. (He seemes rather busy. No english! But very friendly.) Also, when we arrived there was only two, almost empty, toilet rolls (for eight people!) and no dishwasher tablets. I don't know if this should be bought by the guests, but it seems a bit strange. Bring your own salt and pepper, oil and other spices, none of this was in the house. Oh, and the towels were teeny tiny, so bring towels for showering. The info did say no pool towels, but I translated that to "do not use house towels for swimming", not that there would only be tiny towels :-) Do NOT buy botteled water! Behind the church there is a spring with delicious water, bring a water container and save the planet :-)
