Santa Anastasia is a gorgeous oasis set against the lush hills of Castelbuono. My Mom and I immediately felt transported back in time as we drove through the front gates of the property. Our check in was quick and seamless. We were tickled with delight as we entered our beautiful rooms and explored the historical property. It really felt like we'd entered a classic Italian movie set. We were easily able to order drinks and food and enjoy them while soaking up the warm Sicilian sun beside the pool. The dinner at the on-site restaurant was absolutely lovely. We would have loved to enjoy this place even more, but, my Mom experienced a medical issue on our first night and was rushed to the hospital in Cefalu via ambulance. The ER doctor quickly diagnosed her with a kidney stone, kept her overnight, and released her in the morning with medication to help with the pain. The doctor, nurses, and ambulance drivers were amazing and provided her with amazing care. We owe a huge thank you to Antonio, the late-night front desk clerk at Santa Anastasia, who called the ambulance for my Mom and helped them navigate to the front door of the property. We're also super thankful to the staff at Santa Anastasia for checking in on us throughout the whole situation. It was very appreciated. I'm also owe a thank you to the waiters and chef at the Santa Anastasia restaurant for making me a vegan-friendly meal and dessert. I highly recommend Santa Anastasia and would stay again in a heart beat.

Stället hade en otrolig utsikt och låg fantastiskt över kusten. Tyvärr hade vi lite utmaningar med att vår A/C inte fungerade så tyvärr var det över 30 grader i vårt rum. Personalen i receptionen var inte speciellt hjälpsamma i att försöka hjälpa oss med det och efter en natt i det överhettade rummet fick vi flytta till ett litet rum som var under den standarden vi betalat för… Personalen i restaurangen var jättetrevlig och det var ett väldigt fint ställe vi satt och åt på kvällarna.

Peace, quiet, wonderful views and scenery
What an amazing place! The setting is stunning, with hills, vineyards, and olive groves all around. At night the sky is full of stars (so little light pollution), and it's so peaceful and quiet. There are some great walks in the area too. Otherwise, my room was spacious and comfortable (only slight hesitation is that the mattress wasn't in its first flush of youth), the bathroom was very well equipped (great water pressure), the food and wine was first class, and the service was good too. I'd love to go back.

Petit paradis au calme et en même temps à seulement 10 km de Cefalù. Excellent restaurant sur place avec personnel très attentionné. Belle piscine / jacuzzi avec vue sur la campagne et la mer.

Il luogo nonostante le enormi potenzialità è gravato da una certa incuria. Le mura delle camere sono trasparenti e gli schiamazzi all’ordine del giorno; le finestre inesistenti sembrano più simili alle celle di clausura che di un albergo di un certo livello. Il servizio non è totalmente da bocciare ma pochi sembrano conoscitori della materia. In ultimo: il giardino e il versante collinare. Il giardino soffre d’incuria perenne; il verde potenzialmente appagante per passeggiate, prati di meditazione e full immersion nella natura. La strada che conduce al luogo è piuttosto dissestata ma ciò non è detto sia da adddebitare alla struttura, piuttosto è la pulizia assente e il controllo della porzione territoriale ad essere assente! L’immondizia lawciata appesa in ogni dove attira con frequenza i cinghiali in zona, spesso piccoli, che oltre a distribuire i contenuti dei sacchi diventano potenzialmente pericolosi essendo la loro madre estremamente aggressiva nel proteggere i piccoli. Da chi si fregia di vigneti di un certo calibro, quanto meno l’attenzione al territorio dorrebbe essere elevata (e la scusa del proprio orticello ha francamente stancato).

Salve Giuseppe, la sua recensione è alquanto nulla nel descrivere la struttura del Relais. In quanto alle mura, essendo in un'antica dimora del XII secolo, sono consistenti e le finestre delle camere sono state ristrutturate non come le descrive lei. Se avesse voluto rappresentare questa sofferenza alla direzione ed allo staff del ricevimento avrebbe avuto modo di verificare la disponibilità di altre tipologie di camere sia classic sia superior. Il verde all'interno dell'azienda è attenzionato periodicamente e risulta contraddittorio nel suo dire. Purtroppo per quanto riguarda la strada di interesse comunale non è di nostra pertinenza, nonostante oltre a segnalare a chi di competenza siamo intervenuti piu' volte a ripristinare sia il manto sia l'incuria. La invitiamo a rivalutare il suo giudizio sulla struttura, poichè la sua valutazione nell'insieme non giudica i nostri servizi.

L'abbazia santa anastasia è una meravigliosa struttura ristrutturata posta nell'entroterra siciliani, ad una decina di chilometri da Castelbuono e da Finale di Pollina; punti forti il servizio, particolarmente attento e puntuale, il ristorante, decisamente di qualità medio / alta, la meravigliosa piscina, e chiaramente la possibilita di fare degustazioni del vino prodotto e di visitare la cantina. Unica pecca, per un hotel a 5 stelle, la camera, con alcuni dettagli da rivedere, come la tv con schermo a 15 pollici inserita dentro un armadio. Ottima la pulizia

This was truly a gem to find tucked into the hills above Cefalù. This 800 year old winery has exceptionally helpful and resourceful staff and a chef who is second to none. Large, spacious and well appointed rooms. We were so enchanted we prolonged our stay. Panoramic views down the valley and interesting towns to see. Castelbuono is charming and home to the best panettone. This is shipped worldwide to everyone from the Pope to Bruce Springsteen. We will be back!

Fantastic stay, the grounds the hotel are located within are stunning. The views of the surrounding valley are breathtaking and the food and wine is excellent! Also, the room was huge and extremely comfortable.

En avskild men väldigt trevlig vingård som erbjöd flera goda viner både röda och vita. Restaurangen på vingården erbjöd förstaklassig mat. Möjlighet till vinprovningar gavs nästan på dygnets alla timmar. Besöket i vingårdens vinkällare med tillhörande vintillverkning av gårdens egna viner var både lärorikt och intressant. Vingården satsar helhjärtat på både ekologiska och framförallt biodynamisk vintillverkning, vilket upplevdes som extra inspirerande. Våra 4 nätter på vingården var till vår fulla belåtenhet och med egen bil kunde vi med lätthet ta oss till närliggande områden.

Stunning location and well kept property. Wine shop was closed on each occasion we visited. Feedback was provided that breakfast needed to be replenished, post which hotel management ensured was corrected and certainly improved. Some super staff onsite.

A bit disappointed
Driving up to Relais Santa Anastasia through the vineyards was amazing. The hotel is very nice, but a bit dated. We checked in and they were very helpful at that point. We went to the pool area which was very nice, but there as there were no umbrellas to shade you so it took away from the experience. Dinner was fabulous and the wine was great! We even bought some to take home. We asked for a late check out and were told that it was ok and the following day told it was a mistake. The next day we went to breakfast and it was horrible. The staff was not helpful and rude, there was no food and what was there was not good (stale bread). This is not what is expected from a 5* hotel. Overall, this hotel needs some improvement if it wants to call itself 5*.

Beautiful property. The restaurant is excellent. The winery produces good quality wines and winery tour is very interesting. The main problem for us was that it is difficult to find. Signage too small from the main road and it is 7km out of Castelbuono so initially you drive to this village to find the hotel but it is way out in the countryside. No one in the village speaks English and so you drive around a long time until you stumble across it.

Lovely location but not 5 star service.
We had a lovely stay here. The wines and the nature is terrific. Can recommend the horse back riding. Though this is not really to compare with a 5 star hotel experience. The service and facilities have got more to ask fore. The restaurant is excellent.
