"Staff were very nice. Rooms were simple but effective. Heating was working (some reviews dud not understand that there was a switch on the side as well as he temp control.) hot water also good. Fridge, basic cooking equipment plates etc. Bring a corkscrew and a small coffee percolator if you need them. Towels and bed sheets with a duvet all clean etc. "

"The hosts Mark and Lerryn are great hosts. Very attentive. Casa Lerryn is a lovely place to spend a relaxing week. The most noise we could hear are the crickets chirping in the evening. "The property was above all our expectations. Very clean, very comfortable, in short a home away from home. The kichen was very well stocked with all the kitchen utensils any chef would need. "The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"This is a really lovely property: large, modern, beautiful, comfortable. It is in a small village, and is 1-2 hours away from many wonderful Portugal experiences, including, the sea shore, Douro Valley, Porto, Schist Villages, Tomar (must see the Templar castle there), Fatima, and more. As Americans, we were happy to drive and have a great home base to return to each day. Steve is a wonderful host. Definitely choose this property if you can."

"We loved staying here. The location is perfect, right in the walkable middle of the medieval center of the city next to the college. Rooms were quaint, the food was good. Enjoyed the welcome glass of port when we arrived. My wife mentioned the showers were very hot and the water pressure was great. Enjoyed the stay very much. Only downside was parking, it was tricky to get close. They did indicate that in the welcome message ahead of check-in though. "
