HI Kris,thank you for your stay and the review even if I have to clarify certain concepts. I have a good memory and I remember well in this case I had the impression of a family very jelous about their privacy, passing most of the time here inside their cottage.Rare times I saw you in your garden and never met you in the commun areas even if we are often in the garden caring about plants and flowers.That said it was very difficult to have contact with you unless we come to knock on your door, but then again this is not our style. Having said this, the "mysterious foot ball episode" will now appear even clearer.Your younger son used to play alone in the garden with the ball after the older brother left to come back in Holland. Already in the days before the episode reported, it happened that my mother and I who were working in the front garden were attracted by a rather loud noise caused by the continuous bouncing of the football ball on the iron gate that was used by the child as a door. This episode was repeated several times and for a long time without the parents noticing because they were inside the closed-door housing. The day reported other guests had complained about this noise and my Mom kindly asked the child to do "more delicate" at least (not to stop playing of course). The child ran home and has not played football since that day but it was not what we wanted. We had nothing against the child who plays with the ball but perhaps that way so violent to play could be avoided, in the protection of the tranquility of other guests and the environment in general. At the departure I asked if the stay was to your liking and you have responded positively. I am sorry that perhaps this so misunderstood episode has altered your perception of the quality of the accommodation.
