"Great spot to stay in, convenient for the city. We loved the breakfast, a true highlight. My kids were very comfortable in the second bed and the shower was a great size. Unfortunately it was during a heatwave and with south facing windows I don’t think the temperature in the room dropped below 30c! The chap at breakfast said there is a plan to put in AC. The huge fan provided took the edge off."

"The Superior Double room was very comfortable, fresh and clean. The vanity area outside the bathroom was super convenient as was the number of outlets for charging tech. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was a short walk away but there was a drop-off zone next to the entrance. Great for our one-night stopover."

"The rooms are beautifully decorated and the pub/hotel has a lovely oldie world feel to it. The surroundings were very peaceful. The service was also faultless - when we asked for a couple of things to be changed in the room it was done immediately. The Walnut Tree was excellent value for what we paid. "Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prima voor een overnachting. Tijdens ons verblijf zijn de matrassen vernieuwd. Dat wat wel nodig. De keuken was niet open zodat we naar een ander restaurant moesten uitwijken. Het groene licht was s’nachts irritant. Ontbijt was eenvoudig en goed."

"I was pleasantly surprised with my room after reading the reviews. I had one of the outside family rooms and it was big and comfortable. It served my purpose for what I needed perfectly. If you're fussy there are a few imperfections but it is good value for the price."
