The place was well kept and spacious! A perfect getaway from work if you want a quiet weekend and a crystal clear pool.My only complaint; there is a clear omission of hot tub fees from the original listing. Be prepared to spend a few extra hundred dollars if you intend to use the hot tub (or just use the pool); otherwise, this is a great place for friend and family gatherings.

The place to stay in Carrollton

The property has everything you need. Private pool, private lake, good amenities. We will come back in the future. House is well maintained and worked extremely well for our family with 9 people staying. There are so many things to do in Carrollton and if you enjoy walking, fishing, swimming, eating out, Carrollton has it all. I would recommend this property for anyone with 6 to 10 people.

Cabin Getaway

This is a beautiful property with lots of extras! The grounds , pool area, house, and views are some of the best around. All that said there is a lot of maintenance that needs to be attended. Steps going into the house were rotted, the outdoor shower, bathroom and outdoor bar was not working. These improvements could make future stays better.

Beautiful Property!

Vacationed for a ladies' trip with family. The house and grounds of the Wesher Cabin are beautiful and impressive. The outdoor pool/patio area was a great place to hang out, visit and relax. The house was very spacious and gave us each our own space but had plenty of common areas to hang out and dine together. We already have a future trip back to the house booked.

Girls Trip 2024

The properly was as advertised but even better in person! The check-in process was super easy. This property gave us the “wow effect” as soon as we entered the gated entrance and upon opening the front door to a personalized welcome message. The home was well stocked with condiments, ice, lots of games, books, etc. and a reasonable supply of household items to get us thru our 3 night stay. The home and all of the many amenities were amazing! Many great memories were made and we will definitely return!

Couple's Weekend Retreat within a short drive

The property is as advertised, it is very rustic looking and beautiful especially at night with the lights on the building as well as shining off the lake. Unfortunately, due to the rain we were unable to take advantage of any outdoor activities, like walking the trails or s'mores around the fire pit. The only reason I did not give it an overall 5 stars is because of the bedroom and bathroom situation. We were a group of 10 ranging in ages of 60+ as such having a bathroom on the loft level where there were 2 bedrooms would have been greatly appreciated by those up there. It was inconvenient to have to walk down a flight of stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Also, having all king beds vs. twin beds was mentioned by the group as something that would have improved their experience. All in all we enjoyed our stay, the place was well stocked with the things needed to cook our meals and to have our morning cup of coffee or tea. We also enjoyed and appreciated the welcome basket of goodies.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home with everything our family needed for our stay. We spent most of our time outside near the pool, at the outdoor fireplace and fishing at the lake. The kitchen was well appointed for us to cook family meals. We were confused by some of thw rules and instructions but the Wesher group was prompt in their responses to our questions.

Towels & Utility Room

We had a total 9 people and there were not enough towels to shower and use for drying once you got out of the pool. So we used the towels from the unlocked utility room, because we figured they were for our use. But I was later charged $50 because they say we used towels that would be for the next guest. If we had not used the towels and the toilet paper from the utility room we would have run out of both. So I was charged because their cleaning crew left the utility room open. I am reasonably person and I found the charge for the use of what was available absurd and inhospitable to us as guest. The home and property is lovely but this whole towel and toilet paper fiasco really rubbed me the wrong way. And if you don't like stairs you may want to consider another property, because it is a lot of up and down 3 flights of stairs.
