home away form home!

we rented many different places during our annual stop in Carp to visit friends and now we just stay at this property. It is convenient, comfortable, well maintained and we always feel like its home away from home.

Wonderful apartment, so close to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropic Shores! The apartment is fresh and updated, the kitchen and living space super functional, nice bathroom and comfy bed in the primary bedroom. Elena, the on-site property manager is very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed the short one block walk to the beach, as well as watching sunset at low tide. As our first visit to Carpinteria, we enjoyed getting to know the town and trying out the many dining options. Short drive up to Santa Barbara for a day trip, and another trip over to Ojai. This was a great home base for adventuring or staying put!

Perfect location perfect accommodations

Highly suggest, steps away from the beach and super close to DT Carpenteria. Everything was clean and it felt new as it has been remodeled with care. All units of the building are owned by the same family so everyone there is VRBO. Beautiful landscaping, with a cute seating area in the middle of the units. We will definitely return!

Very nice place, close to the beach

My daughters and I had a great stay here over spring break. The place is very nicely remodeled and has everything you could need for the beach, including beach towels, chairs, boards, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Great stay, incredibly accommodating, would definitely stay again

My family and I stayed here for a week. We initially booked for just a few nights, but then my daughter tested positive for covid and we needed to extend it. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and let us stay on a night by night basis, until we knew our plans. Beyond that, the apartment has everything you might need, and is less than 5 minutes to the beach. It's also on a really quiet street across from the Salt Marsh, so there's no street noise. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Carp Apartment

This apartment was perfectly suited for my family and so close to the beach! It was newly renovated and beautiful with all amenities and pet friendly so we could enjoy our week with our pup!

Gorgeous Location

Clean, comfortable, quiet, modern fixtures, and every morning you get to wake up and walk to the beach, and see the pelicans and the sandpipers and the seals. Or you can walk into town and eat a great breakfast at Esai's diner. It was a great vacation because of out stay in this apartment.

Family getaway

This unit was beautifully decorated everything was there clean. The complex is quiet and beautifully kept. You will need to bring your own spices and oils and things for cooking we really enjoyed our time here. We will come again

Wonderful place!

We had a wonderful stay at Tropic shores. The management was outstanding and the condo was super clean and well stocked. Great location and also was a plus to be able to bring our dog. Will definitely stay again!

As described

First time in Carp! Great town, great location. Clean and convenient apartment. One caveat: the other renters at time of our stay seemed to think they had rented a single family house. Their door was open all the time, disciplining kids in common area. One kid had constant meltdowns that we had to listen to. We thus couldn’t use common area at all. We weren’t there much so we managed. It goes without saying this is not owners fault, and the one time I asked about the screaming kids at 6:30am (complex quiet hours are 10-8) she promptly texted them. Beach living!! Miss Carp already !

strange but convenient

Property is clean, newly remodeled with updated appliances... nice and close to the beach. When we texted the host on how to access netflix, we got an abrubt response saying the hosts husband just died, and with that and their newborn, we needed to respect them. Obviously I extended my condolences and didn't ask any other questions. We still had a great time and made sure not to bother her anymore.

Summer Celebration

My friendda and I celebrated the end of another year in teaching. So relaxing. The apartment had all the comforta of a beach stay. The interior was so inviting with tasteful furnishings and calm colors. We truly enjoyed our stay in Carp!

Graduation Weekend

We had a great stay at Carpinteria. What a sweet little town! The apartment was lovely. My recommendation would be to have a fan in the living room area. It does get a little stuffy. Mike was excellent to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would love to come back again.

The ultimate location in a beautiful beach town

The location couldn’t have been better and was just a short walk away from a beach where you could take your dogs. We took multiple daily walks to the beach and enjoyed walking to the spot to pick up dinner before watching the sunset on the dunes. The power went out in the city during our stay and the host did a great job of communicating when the power would be back and passed out lanterns to all of us.

Wonderful Getaway

We've been coming to Carpinteria for years and this was one of the best rentals we've stayed at! It was so well updated, clean, and wonderfully located just a block from the beach. Mike and Elena were very helpful and easy to reach when anything came up. The property is super cute and quite. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Carp getaway!

A gem of an apartment steps away from the beach! Updated and tidy. Nice space to hang out together, large tv’s in living room and one bedroom. Apartment had beach chairs, towels and an umbrella which made the stay MUCH more enjoyable! Not too many cooking items in the kitchen, but enough to get by. Keurig machine available with kcups provided, a nice treat and didn’t have to worry about buying coffee filters ;) No AC, but bedrooms had ceiling fans. A beautiful courtyard with outdoor sofa is available to hang out in the apartment complex. This was a beautifully maintained property just steps from a quiet beach. Carpinteria is an adorable town, everything is walkable and well kept. HIGHLY recommend!!!
