My family and I rented this home for our annual family vacation. One of the reasons we rented the home was because of the pool. When we arrived at the home, we noted that the pool water was dirty and there was debris and sand at the bottom, which was disappointing. There is also only one tv in the home which is the living room, so if you have children that you want to entertain with tv, this will not the property for them.
As the night progressed, we had a issue with the toilet on the 1st floor in which it would not feel. We had elderly family at the home and walking to the 3rd floor to use the restroom was incredibly hard. The home does not come with a actual person who is responsible for emergencies. You have to call the rental company, which was almost impossible to get in touch with after hours.
Nevertheless, the next morning, I as well as 2 other members of my family, visited the rental office to talk to management directly. I spoke with Chris about our concerns and he stated that that there has been several complaints with the pool from past guests. I don’t know why this issue was not fixed prior to our stay, especially if there had been several other complaints. In addition, he told us the toilet not working was a “inconvenience” and that we were not impacted by this “inconvenience” we kindly let him know that when we pay money for a house, we expect that all isssues related to the house to be working, as we have paid for these amenities. He told us that he has a meeting with management the following week and that he would discuss possibly reimbursement of some of the money paid for for our “inconveniences”
Fast forward to 2 days ago, Chris, emails me not mentioning any of the issues we brought to his attention upon our visit, but tells me that he found a broken towel rack in the upstairs bathroom and that he was charging us $85 to fix the towel rack. I never saw the broken towel rack and if I had noticed it, I would have documented it and reported it, as we did not break a towel rack. I mentioned it to my mother in law, who reported that she did see it upon using the bathroom, but never mentioned it.
The house has some issues that need to be addressed but Chris attitude was the main issue. Had we been dealing with the actual owners of the home, it probably would have been different. I WILL NOT be renting a home from ANY home that this rental company manages. Poor management and they lack customer service
