Wonderful space for our family of 24! Lots of little kids so the beach access was super convenient. We loved all the bunk rooms too. Plenty of space for everyone! The pool was a little on the small side but kept us entertained for sure! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and even spices etc. You do have to exit each floor and go outside to get to the next level. But the kids had fun punching in the key code. And the communication with Jeff, the owner was outstanding!

Best house in Kure Beach! Our group of 20 people had plenty of space to hang out, eat, & sleep. The house is beautiful & well-stocked, the views are amazing, the pool area is private & thoughtful touches were everywhere. The house is in easy distance to shops & restaurants, and the beach never felt crowded. The hosts were very attentive & amazing memories were made!

Perfect for a family gathering!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family (ages 5-85) to gather after a memorial service for my mother. We rented both units and had excellent spaces to gather as a large (21 person) group or find solitude as needed. The open kitchen and living spaces and the large porches with ocean views were exactly what we all needed. We watched tons of dolphins and even a few whales from the porch and the brave were able to surf and dip in the ocean! The whole home was pristine and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. This rental exceeded our expectations and we all wished we could stay longer! Thank you!

Amazing Views and Fantastic Property

We had a large extended family gathering with 22 people ranging in age from 8 to 80. Everyone loved our second visit even more than the first because this house is a very special gem. Incredible views, great location (rent bikes) and so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Modern Beach House

This house is absolutely beautiful. As you can see from the listing, it is unlike any beach house I've stayed at on the NC coast in the past. Everything you could need is at the prop, so you can maximize your time enjoying the house, beach, and pool. The owners are extremely communicative, so you should expect to be as well. This is not a party house, so it is important to have that expectation as renters. The result is a beautifully-upkept house. Keep in mind that the floors are separate units, even if you rent both of them (it's important to keep kitchen items, etc. on their original floors). My family had a very memorable stay here and highly recommend it to any future visitors. We appreciate the thoughtfulness and responsiveness of the owners.

This house worked very nicely for our group of 22. The property was very clean and Jeff was very attentive to our needs. Window and doors do need to remain closed at all times to keep the HVAC system working properly so that is just something to keep in mind.

Outstanding Property!

We had a large family gathering with 11 adults and 11 children. This home is gorgeous and well stocked with incredible views, we were able to see the weekly Thursday night fireworks from the deck, watch the moonrise over the horizon and enjoy a fabulous week together. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. It was a perfect week.

Perfect Beach Family Vacation

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with all 21 family members and plenty of room on two levels with two kitchens very well equipped for our family. Very clean, and gorgeous ocean view, short walk to beach, and great pool for the kids. Our host was amazing and very attentive to making our perfect family vacation. Hope we can return sometime soon! Wonderful, Contemporary, Welcoming Place

We so enjoyed our time at Sol de Mar! Jeff and his family were incredibly welcoming, and the house is truly one-of-a-kind. The oceanfront views were remarkable and the contemporary decor, clean and modern throughout, were exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of amenities to enjoy - from swimming in the pool to fishing and enjoying the beach and ocean - just really a perfect place for families of all sizes. I highly recommend!

Family Vacation

This property is perfect! We traveled to Kure Beach for a family vacation with 22 people and the house was more than big enough for everyone. If you are looking for a beach vacation you will not be disappointed. The house is beautiful, has amazing views from both decks and has everything you could ever need. The owners have really thought of it all. The house pretty much sits right on the beach, which was far enough from the public access that it felt private. The beach is beautiful and there is a fantastic sandbar the kids can play and body surf on. The water was warm and even the adults spent a ton of time in the water. It was the perfect vacation!

Gorgeous Views/Gorgeous House

This home is beautiful. We rented the entire house in July 2020. The duplex nature of the home was great for our family. It allowed for some time apart and a lot of time together. Breakfasts and lunches could provide some quieter times. The view of the ocean is simply gorgeous. Walking in the front doors, you immediately see it from both levels. That never gets old throughout your week. You can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your balcony. We loved spending a day at the beach, coming home for some afternoon pool time and then drinks overlooking the ocean. The house is well maintained, clean and inviting. The owners and property managers will make sure your stay is simply wonderful.

Five Stars - fantastic beachfront home!

We were the first renters of the entire property and it was absolutely fantastic! We had a total of five families and 22 guests in the property for the week. The space was great and provided plenty of room and privacy for each family. The kitchens were stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, etc. We cooked dinner in 5 of the 7 nights and loved the Viking appliances in the top unit. Since it was set up as two separate units, it provided extra living space, kitchen space, and other amenities for each family. The location is great too. It's a fair distance from any public access points, providing plenty of room on the beach for bocce ball, corn hole, and other games on the beach. We also enjoyed the private pool and ping pong table on the ground level. The property owners were very accommodating. They answered all of our questions, provided suggestions/tips for the area, and were on call for any issue/questions we had during our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
