And another one bartender!

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The location is just close enough to the beach for us (walkable by my 80 yo parents) and close to the paved walk/run/bike trail. The street is quiet and I feel safe letting my 10 to ride a bike on it. It’s very family friendly and we always get along with the renters next door.

Summer beach days

The duplex is cute, clean and well stocked. Just a heads up for future renters that the garage, pantry and several closets are locked so there is limited storage.

Perfect family get away

We had a last minute opportunity to getaway with family and loved this home! Mrs. Mullins was available and home had everything we needed. Only a few streets from the beach - easy walk and only a few minutes from anything else - Ft Fisher only minutes away. Will check into availability when we go again!

Clean, cozy, and a convenient location!

This home is very accommodating for a larger family...We had 6 adults and 6 children in our party and were all comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with supplies (other than food obviously) and ready to use. The house is about 6 blocks from the beach, roughly 5-10 min walk, but also has public parking if preferred. It's a 5-10 min drive to the Carolina Beach boardwalk, Kure Beach pier, Fort Fisher, and the aquarium. The owners were very hospitable and informative. I highly recommend this home and location. My family had a great time and great memories!

Good, but...

Don't get me wrong, this place is excellent! Great location (right where Carolina Beach turns into Kure Beach, 4 blocks inland from the beach), beautiful place with updated everything, outdoor shower, etc. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because bed sheets and towels (i.e. ANY type of towel - hand towels, bath towels, etc.) are NOT provided. She makes this clear in the property description, so it wasn't a surprise - we brought our own sheets. However, I didn't expect there to not be any hand towels in the bathrooms or anything. She does provide paper towels, which, due to the lack of hand towels, we ended using a ton of. Even bath towels would be nice so people don't have to use and waste so many paper towels. It's not like we were going to bring beach towel, hand towels, and bath towels on our trip - that takes up so much luggage room in addition to the bed sheets, and the beach towels get a ton of sand on them when you go to the beach so you can't use them to dry off from the shower you take when you get back from the beach. The other thing is that there are beds of every size (twin, full, queen, king), which on one hand is good because the unit can sleep a lot of people. However, If you are like us, you don't have bends of every size where you live, so you probably will need to go buy brand new sheets just to bring on vacation because they are not provided here. Kind of a hassle and an extra cost. All in all, great place, with a very responsive and kind host. Bottom line: if you don't mind bringing bed sheets and a ton of towels, this is the place for you.

Wonderful home...

But a bit far from the beach. House was well set up and the 18 of us spanning 3 generations had a great time. Having rented both sides, we had plenty of room. Owner is very responsive and accommodating, but the location is really is bit of a hike to the beach especially when temps are high.

Great House!

Terrific location. Spacious and beautifully decorated. Kitchen has all necessities, cable tv and private bath in each bedroom was great. Kids loved the bunk beds. Short walk to the beach but I did drive the kids back and forth a couple of times b/c of the July heat and all the beach gear.

Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood

House slept 2 families comfortably. Clean and well stocked kitchen. Terrific location close to everything! Nice short walk to the beach. Had fun at the CB boardwalk, NC Aquarium, Kure Beach pier, and Arcade. The Island has lots of fun parks and places to go!

The house was beautiful inside and out! The split level makes it a great place for a family who wants time together as well as time apart. Just a short walk to the beach. Margaret was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again if i returned to the area.

Beautiful, clean home in a great location

This was our first trip to Kure beach and the first time renting a home through VRBO. We couldn't have had a better experience. The house was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. There was more than enough room for our family of four to be comfortable. It is a short walk to the beach. The homeowner was quick to respond and very pleasant. We hope to visit next year and stay here again.
