Hornsbee house!

Perfect beach location for our family. Beach access was easier than most ocean front homes. Fireworks from the deck were awesome. Easy access to the boardwalk, aquarium, and kayaking made it a 100 percent hit.

Excellent Stay

Our family stayed here for the third time. The home is an excellent location to both Carolina and Kure Beach. This year we took the ferry to Southport and explored that town. I highly recommend the Marine Museum and unique shops. We had an excellent lunch on the pier at Fishy Fishy. So enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very responsive to our messages and we lacked for nothing. The home is well equipped for your beach vacay.

The condo was very clean, and was perfect for a weekend getaway. Very close to the beach for those morning sunrise walks. Host was very nice and quick to respond with any questions. Would definitely come back!

Great experience!

Very clean and well maintained! Communication with the homeowners was great and they were easy to get a hold of. They were very kind and polite. Literally on the beach as described, just a boardwalk away. Overall a great stay, would definitely recommend and consider staying here again if ever in the area.

Great apartment right on beach access

Very nice updated apartment right at the beginning of public beach access. Side view of the ocean from the porch and some windows. The home is updated and has comfortable beds. Open floor plan in the main living area made visiting with family while making meals possible. The house is not huge but more than adequately met our needs. The gate on the porch and side stairs to a small fenced area was ideal for our dog. Our hosts were great at communicating with us. We enjoyed this home very much and would consider returning in the future.

Beach Vacation

The condo is convenient to the beach and has all the necessities for a wonderful vacation. Parking is tight under the building, but we were able to manage since the lane next to us was empty. Craig was wonderfully responsive. The only category we marked as a 4 out of 5 was cleanliness. This score was given because we swept the hall (for sand) and found quite a bit of animal hair. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

Review of 5 Texas Avenue

Great location, shared driveway With beach access which made it crowded at times. Party of 4 and we could only use 2 beach chairs since the other ones were rusty, full of cobwebs and dirty. We were disappointed because we wanted to rent golf carts which is popular, we couldn’t since there was no outlets to recharge it. The deck is in need of repair, we had rain 1 day and could not even sit outside due to the ceiling has major gaps which causes the rain to fall through.

Great little get away!

Hadn't been on a vacation in half a decade. So the opportunity to get away to such a beautiful destination was amazing! The condo was awesome! Had tons of things I didn't expect, but that were greatly appreciated! Everything was clean and well organized... Couldn't have asked for a better prepared stay! The view was awesome from the porch patio, would definitely rent again! 🙂🙂

Spring Break 2024

We had a mixed generation family vacation. The owners were super easy to communicate with. We had no issues with the property. The accommodations are perfect and allows for space to spread out. If you are wanting to watch tv it’s helpful for you to be familiar with using tv apps. We definitely cooked and sat in the deck. Being right on the beach is also great so there’s not a lot of packing the whole crew and beach items Location is also great. We took a few sightseeing trips to the Fort Fisher aquarium, US Carolina Battleship, Myrtle Beach and of course restaurants and the kids rented bikes at the boardwalk. We were here a week and it wasn’t enough!! Don’t hesitate, book this unit!

Spring Break for Family

Convenient to the beach, making spring break with young kids a breeze. Slept all of us perfectly, with enough space to have personal and alone time. Great spot that isn’t too crowded, but not too remote. Made for an easy trip to Fort Fisher (with wide open, peaceful beach). Would definitely stay again.

The host is so good at communicating the check in process. We had an issue with our arrival. The host helped us through it and made it easy and accommodating. We were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The weather was cool but the blankets, towels and heat were just what we needed. I would recommend this property to other groups or families.

Winter escape

We and our two furry friends loved this location. It was very close to the beach with easy access to the walkway to the beach but also neighborhood streets to walk when the beach was too much (for the adults -never the dogs.) Shannon was incredibly and immediately responsive to any questions ( we actually had no concerns). During this winter rental the building was very quiet but I could imagine it more active in the summer. Some areas could have used a little more lighting ( winter days can be on the dark side) but we let Shannon know this. All in all a wonderful time. We were sad to leave!

Great location

This is our second year of staying at this property during the Thanksgiving holiday and once again, it was wonderful! It is in a great location, both convenient to the beach and restaurants. The property is clean, easy to access, and has everything you will need. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back next year!

Great Beach House

Our week-long stay at this delightful beach house was an absolute joy for our family, consisting of two adults and three children aged 5, 3, and 5 months. The breathtaking views from the porch combined with the unparalleled proximity to the beach make the cost of this rental more than justified. In fact, it's as close as you can get to having your own private walkout to the beach. The Hornsby family, our gracious hosts, truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. Shannon, in particular, was incredibly responsive, addressing any questions we had with remarkable speed, often within a mere 30 seconds. Their attentiveness added an extra layer of comfort to our experience. Beyond the stunning location and fantastic hosts, the house itself left nothing to be desired. Stocked with every essential and more, it made us feel right at home. As we reflect on our time here, we're already eagerly looking forward to the possibility of returning next year. Our heartfelt thanks for providing us with such a memorable and wonderful vacation.
