Will not rent again due to being mislead about the furniture which was not as shown. The fridge was old and rusty. The dishwasher leaked and had to be repaired while we were there. House was very nice (Back porch is exceptional) but overpriced for this time of year in my opinion. Realty company that manages it was responsive but refused to offer any reduction in the rate even though we were inconvenienced by the lack of comfortable furniture. I ended up going out and buying a small ottoman in order to have a way to put my feet up and get comfortable.

Beach trip

Nice stay and everything. One thing was a problem for us was the owner or somebody had a boat at the dock while we were renting the house and felt “watched” the whole time we stayed there.

Property was advertised as fenced in backyard and no fence was there. Sprinklers went off all week, day and night.

Carolina Joy is a JOY!!!

This is our second time staying at this property in the last year or so. We love Carolina Beach and try to come down a couple of times a year for 6+years now. To date, this home is our favorite! Clean, well maintained and fully stocked with needed items. Felt comfortable and welcoming. Pet friendly too! The views are awesome of the canal. Highly recommend this vacation home!

Avalon week

Been going to this house for several years. Love this place on the water. Needs a new sofa in living room. The fenced in yard was great for our dog. Can’t wait to go again!

Charming, Private and Perfect

Truly a hidden gem. Off the main beaten path, this home is a private oasis. We loved the backyard, dock and screened-in porch. The open kitchen / living room was great for watching over kids and being together as a family. The furniture is dated and uncomfortable inside, but who stays inside at the beach? Had some water bugs on the first day but the management company sprayed immediately, thank you for being prompt! Overall great home, would recommend.

Wonderful views and great layout

Booking and all check in was very easy . It’s not beach front ( was not advertised that way either ) but it has a great layout and perfect to spend time with friends and family . Loved the marina and Laos the view when you get up in the morning . Thank you for making our trip awesome

Fantastic Views

We stayed at Avalon for a relaxing weeklong vacation. The views and dock are lovely. It is nice to be off the main road and busy traffic. You are only a short 5 minute walk from the beach. The kitchen was well supplied and everything looks exactly like the pictures. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Love the Dock!

Great house for water toys. The back porch and dock are great places to hang out and watch the boats go by. If you have kayaks, SUPs, etc. you can launch them from the (private) floating dock. Downtown is within dinghy range if you have a motor, and you can tie up for free at the municipal dock.

amazing view ... loved the screened in porch...

reclining sofas need to be replaced... mattress very hard and uncomfortable, people enjoy a softer mattress like home ! If they would replace master bedroom with King Bed and softer mattress we would rent again ...

October Beach

We have stayed here several times over the years and Are still in love with it. The sound side flooding was a bit inconvenient but we adapted. That screened in porch and the view of the canal and boats is so peaceful! We’ll be back!

Great location but needs clean up outside

Have enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property and we would return. Would ask that the owners clean up the water area from the storm. It had been 6 weeks since the storm and the yard and water area was strewn with debris. So glad the pier and dock were fixed but the screens on porch and pier building needed much repair. We couldn’t use the pier building because of bugs.

very nice place

Loved the location. Watching all the boats was fun. Everything was clean when we arrived. Bryant realty information was very helpful. The only problem was the toilets got stopped up every time it was used. BYO plunger.

Great place to bring your pet to the beach

We enjoyed our stay at Avalon...the backyard, pier and porch were the best things about the location. Would suggest that the property owner get new mattresses as they were very uncomfortable.

Never again with Bryant Realty

The house was nice but the Bryant realtors ruin my experience. There is no southern charm with this group. There contract was nothing but threats. There was no sheets on the beds they wanted another 20+ dollars for sheets which is ridiculous! There were no towels I had to go to Walmart and buy towels so myself and kids could shower. The water and power was turned off at dock with no help from the office. Made me download there app to enter the home. Another little trick so they send advertisements and more threats. Threatened to fine me if I left to much trash in the trash cans. I've rented several places on the Carolina coast and always had a great experience. I will never rent a place with Bryant Realty involved or any other management company. These type people are destroying the south and the good old southern hospitality.

Carolina Beach -

My family had a wonderful time in Carolina Beach. The town is very friendly and had just the right amount of quiet beach and night life. Our golden retriever absolutely loved swimming! The Avalon property overall was very nice and provided all the comforts of home. The only suggestion would be to update the furniture (couches had an unpleasant odor), and we had a few run ins with some unexpected guests - cockroaches! Aside from that, the property management company was excellent and we LOVED the location. Thank you!!
