We were there for three nights only, but enjoyed ourselves immensely. We had a dog with us and while needing to keep her leashed, this was also a great experience. We could cook in the house, but the nearby restaurants were wonderful.

Quintessential Beach Cottage with all the Comforts of Home

Perfect place to share with family and enjoy the North Carolina ocean. Location was perfect and easy access to ocean with a bit more room versus other properties. We enjoyed the warmth and character of the place. While we didn't exactly visit at the right time of year given the weather, we still enjoyed ourselves and Jeanette was a perfect hostess and did everything possible to ensure we had everything we needed.

Great time everything for family good time . Private access to beach. Teenagers could go to beach alone with restrictions and we could watch from porch. Loved porch coffee every morning on it watch surfers and sun come up every morning. The hostess was great greeted us with tiki drinks and friendly. Great place for family vacation recommend.Will return again.

Beach getaway!

Jeanette's Tiki house is great and the location couldn't be better. The wrap around porch is fabulous - I could sit there and watch the ocean all day. Super short walk from the front porch directly to the beach and there are plenty of chairs, toys and umbrellas to use. A nice grocery is only 10 minutes away by car and there are a few good closely restaurants that we enjoyed. We were especially happy to be able to bring our dog! We would love to stay here and visit Carolina Beach again!!

What an amazing stay we had at Beach House @Tiki ! Just steps away from the beach with your own private boardwalk and the view from the porches with the ocean breeze was wonderful. So much to do all the time. We definitely will need to stay longer when we book again with Jeanette. She is a wonderful host with such a big heart ! Thanks again Jeanette!

Fun in the Sun

Great beach house right on the ocean and within a minutes drive to the boardwalk and family fun. Owner was great and made the process stress free and keep the property very clean and accessible. Highly recommend the property.

Fantastic stay - all around!!!

We can’t say enough great things about our stay at the Tiki House! First..the host Jeanette is so sweet, has great communication and is a fantastic host! Meeting us and giving a tour and yummy welcome drinks …wonderful first impression! The location cannot be beat! Direct beach access!! Jeanette graciously provides extra chairs for guests, as well as other items one may want. We took our dog with us, it was her first time at the beach and she loved it and made the trip even more special for our family! We highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Location, Comfortable place, Views, Great Host

Jeannette is a bigger than life personality, she wants to take care of you and she wants you to take care of the property as your own, she means business 😁 She lives upstairs and is around if you need something fixed or help with WiFi etc. We had an issue with one of the mattresses, we did not talk to her about it but our last day she replaced the mattress with a new mattress, showing that she knew about the issue and wants to take care of issues to improve her guests experience. Would give 5 1/2 if washer dryer/ towels were available (We’ll be back and May beg her for the above 😁) Overall pictures on VRBO can be updated as in real life the inside of the cottage is better and cleaner than what the pictures show. Can have 7 people comfortably stay, beyond 7 could be a challenge and Jeannette has other units above for vacationers. Location and views are awesome, you are on the beach. Porch, hammocks chairs all get you a great sun rise view. And of the ocean. This was our first time using VRBO. Would highly recommend VRBO if they want to be #2 to invest in user experience technology. Many of our messages communication were simply getting lost in between online, mobile app etc. most likely synching problems. Also would recommend to update VRBO online filters with additional options to search like other competitors.

Family Fun

Great property for family to stay under one roof and eat at one table. Location on beach is amazing as your view out is a sand dune and then ocean. Beach access right off front porch. Loved wrap around porch and hammocks as well as watching morning surfers. Kids loved the body surfing. Very relaxing and special time for all. Jeannette the owner is very attentive and hospitable. Highly recommend this property!!

We enjoyed the view. The location was good. We did however, think we were going to be on a private beach. Several chairs at the kitchen table need to be replaced. We felt we couldn’t sit in them or we could fall through the seat. Otherwise the cottage was okay.

A Gem on this Beautiful NC Island

I grew up in NC. Our family went to Carolina Beach during the 70's and 80's for our trips. All five of us stayed in a tiny motel called "Paradise Inn". While it wasn't really paradise, it felt like it to us. It has since been destroyed and replaced, but the memories we had on that beautiful island have not. I'm able to afford a better set up these days...and one that doesn't require the stay of one week that you have to book the previous year. This gem fits the bill. And the owner, Jeanette, knows how to deliver. She takes amazing care of her home. It's pricey, and it's worth every penny. The close access to the beach is the deal-maker. You can sit on the porch and enjoy, and you can walk out to the beach in no time. She offers boogie boards, bikes (tandem too!), and so much more. She randomly texted one day and offered to serve us a special drink at about 5 PM one day. She offers many amenities to upgrade the experience, but you don't have to take advantage of those in order to have a wonderful time. Great memories for me and my 80-year-old father there.

Great place to stay where he host was eager to ensure we had a great time.

This was a wonderful experience for our family vacation! We were met with cocktails (and mocktails for the kids). The beach house was spacious, clean, and well maintained. We had the entire first level to ourselves, while other guests had individual rooms on the second. Private beach access was great, and is within walking distance of the Tiki bar and grill. We will definitely be back!

Delightful Beachfront Retreat

This is the perfect spot for hanging out on a broad shady porch with something cold to drink while you watch the ocean. A wonderfully renovated house with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and a delightful host. Six of us (plus dog) assembled for a very relaxing six days. We plan on returning soon!
