Carnelian Woods is the perfect place to stay! Lake view, pristine water, peaceful, quiet, the lodge with pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, spa, huge pool, sauna, showers, kitchen, bbq, tennis, pickleball courts and close to Tahoe City with its bike routes and Lazy Truckee River rafting! What else could you ask for? This place offers everything!

Outdated

The Lakeview was awesome. The unit needs some updating. TV was 32 inches ridiculously small. The dishwasher racks were missing parts so rack almost fell out every time. Refrigerator/freezer iced up. Carpets were dirty. Bathroom door upstairs did not lock. Bar stool broken. Drywall by the barstool had a whole in it. Recliner didn't work. Hole where lever would have been. Also a had a hole in the drywall next to the broken barstool King size bed in the master would have been nice.On the positive side when we had a problem with the toilets the repairs was quick.We have stayed at carnelian woods many times over the last 49 years.I would definitely stay at carnelian woods again but not this unit.

Great location, horrible inside

We knew when we rented this condo that it was outdated, however it was actually outdated plus not kept up. The beds and pillows were old and lumpy, several pieces of furniture were broken, there were holes in the walls and in the screen door, stains on the carpet and I could go on.The location, view and clubhouse were amazing, however it was not a restful stay. We spent time fixing toilets and furniture and not sleeping at night.If you like this location I would recommend renting a different unit.

Overall, a great place! It is outdated & needs to be remodeled- especially the bathrooms. The beds were uncomfortable & one of the queen beds had a big dip in the middle.

Comfy and quiet place in the trees

Staying in this condo for our first family trip to Tahoe was perfect! The photos were a good representation of this 3 story house. The main bedroom and queen bed were on the first floor and shared a bathroom. The kitchen and living space were on the second floor and the two twin beds are in the loft area on the third level. The home is older and though everything isn’t brand spanking new, it was comfy and had everything we needed for a week long trip. It had plenty of towels and toilet paper and the kitchen had all tools needed for meals. Check in and out we’re all done with no need to visit the rental company. This made it super easy. The view of the lake, though further than I had hoped was still perfect for viewing while having morning coffee. The location was perfect for us. There is a small rocky beach that is walkable down the hill. However we found ourselves going to Forest Beach or Secline. Also at the bottom of the hill is the Clubhouse with pool and hot tubs. My family spent a few hours playing bocce down there too. Driving to Heavenly for the gondola ride was about an hour but the views and stops along the way made it seem super close. We also rented kayaks and paddle boards to check out Powerboat beach and later rented a boat for tubing and wake boarding. Mixed in the week were hikes to Monkey Rock, Martis Fire Look Out and Eagle Rock. It was a great week for our family and there was much to do to keep 3 teens occupied! The memories we made were priceless!

Disappointing

First the positive, I like the location, well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer was appreciated, nice to have balconies, microwave broke but replaced the next day and exterminator came out twice to deal with ants. Negative, 50 year old townhouse, and it shows it. Carpet needs cleaning as does furniture, we had ant problems, upstairs toilet seat does not stay up due to poor install, large bowl under kitchen sink with water, obviously put there to catch leaky kitchen sink, Wifi cuts in and out which also provides signal to TV, wrong coffee filters, not even one box of tissues, and when I walked by heater filter it looks like it was clogged full of dust and dirt. Shower diverter and faucets need attention. Small dishwasher, ended up washing tall glasses by hand.. Overall a lack of maintenance and upkeep.

Great location, great property

Centrally located to a the fun activities of Lake Tahoe. Property is perfect for even larger family - it was 4 of us. Spacious, well equipped townhome with a breathtaking view of the lake.

Great value and good location

This house was great for a group of 8 young adults. There were a handful of (LARGE) carpenter ants which seemed to be living in the house however, and when I mentioned this to the property manager upon departure they claimed they couldn't see any ants....but we definitely saw them.

Quiet and peaceful

Had a nice week at this property with family. Lovely views of the lake and mountains from the deck. Unit had everything needed and was very clean and spacious. Beds in 2 bottom floor bedrooms were super comfy 🙂 The only downside was distance to things, hadbto drive to either Tahoe City or Kings Beach most days. Both are fairly close though. Pool was nice, but unit was a little too far to walk to it.

Great Location

We were a group of 4. One adult and 3 teens The 3 story unit worked fine for our group. Any older adults need to understand it is a 3story home. Very clean when we arrived and well stocked, Beds were very comfortable, some flooring upgrades need to happen and the kitchen is in real need of an upgrade. Dishes, cups, glasses , pots and pans were abundant. Only real issue was exhaust fan in kitchen hood did not work. We made do and reported it on check-out. Overall quite happy with Carnelian Woods #137

Cozy and quiet

Our group was happy with our stay at Sierra Bella. The management company was superb and prompt at answering any questions or concerns we had. They made sure we had everything we needed and responded to our inquiries immediately. The house was cozy and suited our needs for a weekend getaway. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean with things put away nicely. There was plenty of pots, pans, dishes, beverage ware and silverware that could be used if you decided to cook and eat at home. We would stay here in the future!

Clean and beautiful View of the lake!

Place was clean. Close to the lake. Can see the lake from the top balcony. The community was quiet. Overall we had a great time and would rent this unit again. We had 7 people stay and had plenty of room.

This property needs some serious maintenance

My family and I have stayed at many vacation properties. This one not only was dated but in need of many maintenance items. The bed in our bedroom fell through the frame 4 times during our stay, we called maintenance the 1st time and they attempted to repair it. The dresser in our room also had drawers that were coming apart. The dishwasher top rack would not stay in the track and the cabinet doors would not stay closed. Then there was the issue with the pocket door into the bath from the Master. We also reported this problem and they attempted to fix it. But it continued to stick and lock people in the bathroom. It’s disappointing to save and plan for a family vacation and pay good money for a poorly maintained property. The property was clean and well stocked and the location was private with great views.

Had a great time, condo was well supplied with everything. Needs a little updating. Carpets need to be cleaned badly. Bed were comfortable, except upstairs futon which was not usable. But overall nice place great view from both balconies

Great location, great service.

It was very easy to reserve the place. The cabin is very close to the beech, yet it is very quite, and away from the road in the woods. Great service. We had every thing we needed in the cabin. We would love to come back here next time.
