    Experience the charm of a classic Tahoe cabin in this beautiful 3-bedroom home, the perfect spot for a mountain getaway with your loved ones! The home has a bright, open layout, a lovely stone hearth fireplace, 3 inviting & private bedrooms, and a large deck with a hot tub & views over the surrounding trees. Enjoy all the comforts of home during your stay while being in close proximity to the lake, multiple ski resorts, & within walking distance of year-round trail systems!



    The Space:

    This classic 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Tahoe home boasts charming details with vaulted ceilings, lovely exposed wood beams, a beautiful stone hearth fireplace, and a spacious outdoor deck, your group will have everything you need for a memorable mountain getaway. Not only that but the property sits at peak lake view. Adding to the comfort of this home, the 3 bedrooms are all located in different areas of the home providing a great separation of space for additional privacy!



    As you enter the home you will find the home’s first bedroom located directly ahead of the front door. This lower-level bedroom is outfitted with a queen-size bed, matching nightstands with lamps, a large dresser with a 40” Roku TV, a plush corner chair, and a desk. This cozy bedroom includes the added comfort of an attached updated full bathroom with a single-sink vanity and a tiled shower with glass doors.



    Back in the entryway you will find three steps to your left that take you into the main home. A tiled entryway greets you where you will find access to the laundry room, and a short wooden staircase leading to the main floor. On the main floor you will find a beautiful open space featuring exposed wood beams, a lovely stone hearth fireplace, charming decor, and large windows filling the room with natural light. You will first come to the well-equipped kitchen outfitted with beautiful wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a kitchen island providing extra space for meal prep, and a kitchen bar with 4 bar stools. The kitchen opens up to the charming dining room where you will find a spacious table with seating for 6 centrally located between the kitchen and living room.



    Make your way into the bright and inviting living room, a cozy space outfitted with plush furnishings around a large stone hearth with a wood-burning fireplace. The living room includes a couch and a loveseat, a live edge vintage wood coffee table, and a 55” Smart TV. Sink into the comfortable furnishings as you warm up by the fire, have a family movie night, or take in the views out the large windows that line the wall of the room, this dynamic space is well-equipped for relaxing and entertaining. From the shared living space you can access the spacious deck. A highlight of the home this outdoor area will be a favorite hang-out spot during your stay! This lovely outdoor space is surrounded by trees making it feel like your own private outdoor retreat, complete with two outdoor tables with umbrellas, a large outdoor couch, and two reclining outdoor chairs. Ease sore muscles or take in the starry evening sky from the private hot tub, the perfect way to end a busy day. Your group is going to love spending time out in this private outdoor space!



    Back inside the home a hallway off the kitchen will take you to a full bathroom and a second bedroom. The bathroom boasts a spacious single-sink vanity and a bathtub/shower combo. At the end of the hallway you will come to the second bedroom complete with plush carpet, a queen-size bed, matching nightstands with lamps, a ceiling fan, and a 40” TV. The bedroom provides plenty of space to store your personal items with a large and small dresser, as well as a large closet. A third bedroom is located separate from the main house providing a private and quiet space to rest. Head out the front door and to the right where you will find the door leading into the bedroom. The bedroom features a queen-size bed, a small couch, a 20” TV, and a closet. Rounding out the third bedroom is a half-bathroom, so those staying in this room don’t have to worry about late night walks to the main house bathroom and a half-bathroom



    The home also includes a loft where you will find two twin-size beds with two nightstands, a 20” TV, and a small closet on one side of the loft, and a small futon on the other side providing a comfortable seating or sleeping area.

    Guest Access:

    Guests will have access to the entire house and the outdoor areas, which include a spacious deck with a private hot tub. Two driveways provide space for up to 5 cars to park, with the upper driveway providing parking space for 2 cars and the lower driveway with parking space for 3.



    The Neighborhood:

    Situated on a quiet street in the beautiful Carnelian Bay, you can’t beat the location of this home! While at the house, you will love the peaceful surroundings thanks to the home being tucked back off the main road, making it an ideal spot for children to play outside or to enjoy the outdoor space in peace! The home places you within close proximity to the lake, multiple ski resorts, and a vast network of National Forest trails, a fun adventure is never far away. During the summer months make the 5-minute drive down to Waterman’s Landing Beach where you can enjoy a picnic, have a snack at the café, or find just about every type of watercraft available to rent. Year-round trails are located near the house where you can find plenty of places to hike, bike during the summer, and try out XC skiing and sledding in the winter. During the winter months, you are within 20 minutes drive to either Palisades Tahoe or Northstar ski resorts and less than 10 minutes from the Tahoe Nordic XC center. If you are looking for some city life you are only 10 minutes in either direction for the beautiful towns of Kings Beach and Tahoe City where you will find white sand beaches, a movie theater, grocery stores, a wide variety of bars and restaurants, boutique shopping, farmer's markets, and live music in the summer. When it comes to a great location for everything Lake Tahoe has to offer this house cannot be beaten!



    Getting Around:

    Nestled among the trees, the home is located minutes away from HWY 28, a main highway in Tahoe that connects you to the beautiful surrounding areas with ease. From the home, you are a 10-minute drive to Tahoe City, Kings Beach, and 12 minutes to Brockway Summit Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead. In the wintertime, you are a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center.



    For those traveling without a vehicle, or just wanting to utilize public transportation in Tahoe, the home is only a 10-minute walk to the nearest public transportation stop on Tahoe's public transportation system called TART. This stop is on the Mainline and is stop HWY 28 at Lardin Way, which runs every hour and stops along the entire western shore of Lake Tahoe from Tahoma to the north shore at Incline Village. Or take advantage of the home's close driving proximity to Tahoe City and make the short 10-minute drive where you can use the FREE park and ride to reach locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort.



    Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.



    Other Things to Note:

    Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.



    Please note that it frequently snows in Lake Tahoe in the winter months and as this home is well above lake level on a hill it gets A LOT of snow. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. In the winter we strongly suggest a truck or SUV with AWD or 4WD and all-terrain tires. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them.



    Please note, outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow.



    Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.



    Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.



    4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.



    Please note that the grill is only available in the summer months.

The kitchen was a little less stocked like often times theirs foil or Tupperware for food storage not a big deal the hot tub was definately not hot enough for some of the adults but the kids enjoyed it ,

Lake Tahoe Home

Very comfortable home with four nice bedrooms; everyone had their own space. We loved the spaciousness of the kitchen and living room. We spent a lot of time outside on the large deck area with roomy seating and hot tub. Conveniently located near grocery and restaurants/beach. We could see the lake from the outside deck area just across the street. The only issue we had was no hand towels. Highly recommended!

Worst experience with a rental home so far

Deadly blizzard and complete shutdown of roads occurred during our reservation so our group was unable to attend, yet still charged full price. Do not recommend booking anything with Local VR ever!

This property has potential, but it does feel like a neglected income property that needs some TLC. The hot tub was enjoyable, but the deck photos are a bit misleading because it looked much larger online and hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while, so we didn’t use it. The kitchen had an ant problem, and the extra pillows in the upstairs master were stained. There were also quite a few burned-out lightbulbs, and the upstairs master shower didn’t drain properly. On top of that, the faucet housing was loose, so we ended up using the downstairs shower instead.On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and close to the lake, and communication with the property manager was seamless. They were very kind and responsive throughout our stay. With some care and updates, this could be a great rental, but in its current state, it fell short of expectations.
