Secluded & Quiet

The location was very nice and secluded, you had plenty of privacy. The cabin was rustic and felt very cozy. At night it was quiet and you could see the stars.

Carmine Stay

Great property and plenty of room for my friend and I. We stayed here for the RT Spring Show - convenient for not staying actually staying in Round Top. Peaceful!

Very nice and well kept cabin

The cabin was comfortable, clean and stocked with everything needed for a nice getaway. I really appreciated the coffee and coffee filters..several places I have stayed don’t even have filters available. It was a quiet and charming setting.

Peace and Quite

This was exactly what we needed, only not near long enough. We enjoyed the peace and quite of the country. We were in for Round Top and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The y were attentive and responsive, we look forward to returning

Convenient Location

We were there for Round Top Antique shows. Short drive to those venues, but very nice to be away from it all in the evening. Comfortable living area with good tv reception and decent wifi. Bring your own pillow, hair dryer and kitchen knives if you plan to cook.

Wildflower getaway

Nice quiet cabin in the country. Loved the wraparound porch, view of wildflowers and Henry the goose. The cabin has comfortable furniture and is nicely decorated. Linda was great, we had her over for coffee and a visit. The porch swing after a day of touring was wonderful. We’ll be back for sure!

Peaceful

We have such a relaxing weekend. We enjoyed the cabin, fishing and sitting on the porch watching the sunsets. Definitely in the country just the way we like it!! But antique shopping is nearby in Carmine, Round Top and Brenham has some wonderful shops and things to see. Good barbecue at Truths BBQ near Brenham. We would definitely stay here again!

Anniversary Getaway

Great out of the way property. We were able to escape the hustle and bustle and relax with absolute peace and quiet. We had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend.

Perfect

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Cabin was perfect size for our family of four. We enjoyed every moment from sunrises to sunsets. Our kids each caught their first in the pond! Short drive to both Brenham and Round Top. Many memories made! We plan to stay here again!

Perfectly peaceful!

Peaceful property away from it all. Just what we needed. The cottage is adorable and exactly as pictured. Plenty of towels, dishes and other supplies. The toiletries were very appreciated (as we forgot ours!). Owner’s son was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend the rocking horse retreat if you’re looking to get away from it all.

Couples Getaway

Enjoyed our stay! Loved the cabin and the ponds. We fished everyday. We were 10-30min driving distance to all nearby towns. We will make a return trip for sure.

Everything as described

We loved the cabin and the area. We were able to relax in the porche, the kids had space to run, see wild flowers and birds, we went fishing and rode our bikes around Lake Somerville and the host answered our questions in a very timely manner. Recommended.
