We were a family of six that loved our stay at your home. Sanctuary made it easy for us and answered our many questions. The town was out of power for a few days but lucky us that the home still had power. We only lost power for a very brief time at night We loved the close proximity to the beach and the twenty minute walk into town. Thank you

The house was in good condition, all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, at a home away from home. We loved the hot tub and outdoor fire pit and seating. I especially appreciated the keypad door code when we would leave and return at different times not having to think about a house key or a lock box was so much easier.

Friends birthday weekend in Carmel

Perfect home for a gathering of 7 lifelong friends celebrating a milestone year! House was comfortable and spacious with everything we needed for the stay. Super quiet neighborhood convenient to walking on the beach and walking into town! Don't miss the self guided walking tour of the fairytale homes and an ebike tour of 17 mile road. Can't wait to come back!

LOVE Driftwood

I had a great experience at Driftwood last week. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and it's a five minute walk to the beach. Driftwood is bright and sunny. I loved the outdoor spaces - both the front yard with the fire pit and backyard hot tub. I cooked every night in the lovely, well-equipped kitchen. It was a perfect stay and I look forward to returning soon!

Family Retreat

This house was a perfect place to stay with our family of 4. The house was comfortable, clean and in a great location. The kitchen was well stocked and the furniture and decor was comfortable. Can’t wait to come back.

Sanctuary and Peaceful

We loved our stay. Cozy house and wonderful hospitality. Was so nice to have a bottle of wine and wine and cheese when we arrived after a 4 hr drive. We spent a majority of the time in the front yard just enjoying the beautiful weather by the outdoor fire pit. Beds were comfortable and the place was beautifully decorated. If there was a drawback, the ONLY drawback was that there is almost too much light. Every morning I woke up at 5:30am as so much light came into the Master bedroom. However, I always started the day with a smile. Absolutely loved our stay and would recommend highly.

Disappointing Experience with Sanctuary Rental Management

I wanted to share our recent experience with this home and Sanctuary Rental Management during our stay from November 5-7, 2023. While the house itself had a great location and was charming, our overall impression was significantly dampened by several issues. The housekeeping, which was priced at $500, left much to be desired. Stains on the furniture and noticeable dust detracted from the overall appeal. Additionally, the garden fountain was non-functional. Despite Sanctuary’s effort to make an impression with a welcome gift of wine and cheese, the assistance promised during our stay was lacking when we needed it. My husband had a critical Zoom meeting, necessitating reliable high-speed internet. Although we were assured of an excellent connection before booking, the service failed. Attempts to seek assistance from the 24-hour service resulted in dealing with a rude representative and no resolution. Our departure presented further challenges. The strict 10:00 am check-out time was complicated by the internet issues. As we attempted to enjoy the morning, a landscape crew arrived an hour before departure, causing considerable noise and disruption. Our most frustrating experience was with customer service. After calling to express our concerns, promises of a refund and follow-up were made but never materialized. The office yielded excuses and delays, exemplifying an understaffing problem. As frequent VRBO users, our service experience with Sanctuary was among the worst.

Walking distance to shops and beaches

The property was wonderful, with two garden areas. Clean, bright, and lots of light. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub and eating area in the back yard and the garden patio with the fountain and gas fireplace up front. Walking distance to both the shops and beach areas, as well as the Carmel Mission and the Mission Ranch. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, restful stay in beautiful surroundings

This house was so well appropriated from the kitchen to outdoors. We loved being there. We had a slow drain and someone was there very quickly to fix the problem. The manager was thoughtful, kind and considerate. This trip was fabulous. We will be back

Our recent stay at this VRBO property was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything about this rental exceeded our expectations. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly, making us feel valued and well taken care of even before our arrival. Upon entering the property, we were blown away by its immaculate cleanliness. It was evident that the hosts put a great deal of effort into maintaining a pristine environment. It felt as though we were the first guests to ever set foot in the house. The attention to cleanliness and hygiene provided us with peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our stay.
