This property is perfect for those that want to grill out, expansive yard, casita for anyone that needs more quiet time and only a mile walk to town which feels invigorating!

Birthday Getaway

This gorgeous home fulfilled all of our expectations. The neighborhood was very peaceful and the ocean could be heard. We enjoyed sitting outside to have morning coffee. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen was enjoyable to make a special meal. The home location made for an easy walk downtown. We will look forward to visiting again.

Monterey Family Vacation

This was exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our multigenerational family and it was the perfect home base for exploring the beautiful Monterey and Carmel area. House was clean, modern, and very homey. The casita out back was great for some separation for in laws traveling with us. Property managers were very responsive and informative and house was easy to access. Great vacation and great hosts.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time! The house is just lovely and you can walk to town (uphill on the way back but good for all the yummy eating we did). Would love to get screens on the windows, but other than that just great! We had an issue with the hot water and they came out right away and fixed it. Super wonderful trip!

There is more than enough space with various living areas and a beautiful deck in the backyard. The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and we were close to everything but felt like we were secluded. The home was very clean and the Sanctuary team quickly responded to a few questions. We will definitely be back and would recommend them for your accommodations .

The furnishings were high quality and beautiful, so much room to spread out, the kitchen and baths were updated, tvs all worked, pool table, comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood- loved being able to walk to the restaurants, beach and park for basketball which was a nice surprise for my son’s daily practice. It was the nicest rental we have stayed in, hard to leave.

Perfect escape

We rented this house with our 4 year old and another couple and their small kiddos. The house was the perfect layout for two families (& our current childrens ages). We walked to dinner, breakfast, lunch, shopping. There are two perfect areas for adults to gather and children to watch cartoons... and a downstairs area that we didn't discover until the second day! Lots to do, lots of space, perfect location. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the perfect escape!

We rotate between East Coast ( mostly FL ) Central ( Texas, MS, MO ) and West ( SF-Sea Ranch, Palm Springs, Scottsdale ) with an Ireland thrown in from time to time. Monterey / Carmel was a quick replacement due to a memember illness that prevent us going to Temecula Valley

Spacious home, sparkling clean, great for groups

Great property for large groups as there are plenty of kitchen ware items, like glasses, plates, and silverware and two comfortable places to hang out for conversations, not counting the basement. We found nice extras (like multiple large umbrellas for example…and believe it or not it rained multiple days of our visit..beach towels..etc). While you could walk to town and restaurants it was far enough (15-20 min) and all up hill on the way home with very dark streets that we always drove and dealt with finding a parking spot for dinners out. A very quiet neighborhood with nice outdoor space although the weather kept us from using the outside except to grill dinner one night. There were some maintenance issues during our stay and the management was very good about communication.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Casa Carmela was the perfect spot for our California getaway! The house is amazing and fully appointed with everything you might need. The kids enjoyed the lower level with pool table and ping pong. Large HD TVs and comfy furnishings throughout and an awesome kitchen which was great for having a few meals at home. The location is even better... Short walk to town, but in a very quiet and secluded neighborhood. A nice large, gated backyard and grill on the deck provided even more dining options. We will be back for sure!

Carmel Getaway

This is the third year we have rented a home for a month in Carmel. Each time has been through a different company so I had never used Vrbo there and I was a little nervous. BUT it was excellent. The house was perfect for our needs and immediately felt like home to all of us. It was beautiful, it was clean and when I did have a couple of small issues they were addressed quickly.

One of our family members was getting in the shower and all of the sudden the shower door feel on him and broke, cutting him all up. We reported the incident at once, we have called multiple times the management. They never called or repaired about the door
