Villa 6550 is a beautiful, well-appointed and very clean 3rd floor room that is extremely convenient to everything at the Omni La Costa Resort. Host is a terrific communicator. Overall a great stay!

First time but not the last.

Villa 6550 was homey and comfortable and made it easy to relax. VIlla 6550 included access to all La Costa Resort amenities and this was a huge plus. The resort staff were super friendly and attentive. Check in was a breeze. We are already planning return trip with friends.

Great stay!

We typically book through Omni but stumbled across this Vrbo. Josh was great! Very receptive and listing described everything to a T. Room was just what we needed this time around. Clean, cozy and capabilities to charge everything to the room was awesome! Only downfall was front desk. They checked us in, gave us keys and then questioned our ability to check in early and then demanded the keys back. I would not recommend that particular employee to work for this kind of property. Host was great and gave us some direction which worked. Would definitely recommend this host and all his other properties!

Great amenities, room is a bit worn

Amazing access to all of the Omni resort amenities (pools, water slides, etc). Parking was a bit of a confusing process and the room itself looked a little worn (the ice machine was leaking, there is a bar on the microwave that is missing, furniture has some dings, a tile on the bathtub is falling off, and the bed springs on the pull out sofa are lackluster at best. BUT the space is comfortable and suited our needs, and the resort itself is fabulous.

Fun family staycation

The unit was clean and looked just like the photos. The property has everything you need and we enjoyed multiple meals at the onsite restaurants. The splash pad water was a little cold but the rest of pools were nice and heated. If you want to use the Kidtopia child care amenity, make a reservation 24 hours in advance. We had some trouble with the front desk at check in and access to amenities but the host, Joshua was very responsive and called us back right away to help us sort it out. Would stay here again!

Condo was very neat & clean. All important amenities all worked great. Exterior very well maintained. There is one GFI outlet in the kitchen behind the coffee machine that does not reset.

Amazing Property

The Property is amazing, access to multiple pools and jacuzzi. The unit was a mix between Mediterranean and Mexico, it was absolutely perfect, big room, great balcony, close enough to the pool, yet not overlooking so you don't have to deal with the pool noise. The Balcony was perfect spot for a cocktail in the evening and coffee in the morning. We will be back again soon, next time for 3-4 nights.

Nice but a bit misleading

We stayed at this propery for Father's Day weekend with our family of 4 (2 kids under 12). The unit is EXACTLY as pictured in the photos. The problem is that the hotel and the owner are clearly not on the same page. To start, check in says 3pm on the listing. We arrived at 3:17pm and we were told by the hotel front desk, "Our check in times are 4pm. The unit is not ready." I explained to the front desk that I reserved this privately owned unit through VRBO and showed her the listing. She quickly said, "The owner should change it to say 4pm or later. That is misleading." So I immediately messaged the owner. He replied right away, and said, "Okay I will call teh front desk and ask when it will be ready." The front desk was there to tell me face to face, "4pm or later." I told the owner he should change the listing. Sure enough, the unit was not ready until 10 after 4. Once we arrived in the unit, our keys did not work. We had to walk all the way back to the lobby to request new keys. It was 4:45pm before we were inside the unit. The unit was clean and exactly as pictured. It's definitely on the outer edge of the Omni La Costa, so it would not be ideal walking with little kids. There was NO housekeeping for us the entire stay-- no fresh towels, no sheets/bed service, no ice, no room service. We called to request all of these things, and we were told time and time again, "This unit does not receive these services." So yes, while you might be saving a little money by renting this privately owned unit, you will NOT be getting the full experience of the hotel amentiies (which in my opinion, is getting at least fresh towels every day and getting your room cleaned.) We even asked for ice (there is no ice machine anywhere near by), and they simply declined. I wish I had known we would be forsaking those kinds of simple niceties--or else I would have rather booked through the hotel. When I wrote to the owner to express my disappointment, his exact response was, "Hello, please read what you booked. Our condo is not part of the hotel. I am sorry you feel that way, but it is clear in our description that our condo is not part of the hotel. There is nothing in there that says that you have room service." Hmmm... I wasn't asking for room service. We were asking for ice and water. That being said, we did have access to the pools on property without issue. No gym access though. Overall, would not rent again.

Perfect stay in Carlsbad

Check in was smooth at the hotel. Room wasn’t ready until 3pm as promised but they gave us access to the pool. Room was super clean. Parking was close and easily accessible. We were able to access the main pool area as they were not checking key cards.
