Great stay - we celebrated our 50th during the Christmas to New Years week with family. The ocean view home was as advertised and decorated for Christmas. Kelley was responsive to requests. The location was ideal for walking to the beach and the village. The kitchen is amazing, and the beds and furniture are very comfortable. We would stay again.

We really enjoyed this cute, well-situated home. Good kitchen for home-cooked meals, as well as easy walk to nice restaurants. Also easy walk to beach and well-stocked garage with beach "necessities."

A week with our son and daughter's families. Daughter's family lives in San Marcos. Son's family rented a nearby home with a swimming pool. We were near the beach and the park where we could fly the kite and walk to town. Side trips tp LaJolla and other near by towns where daughter's brother-in-law manages resraurants.

Great location! Gorgeous home! Loved the “eagles nest” up on the third floor… even in the bedroom upstairs with window open you could hear the ocean. Walkable to everything and close to train station . And cutest house ever!

My family and I love coming to this beach house. We have been here 4 times now and it is always clean and enjoyable. They have everything you need. A quick walk to the beach and it’s right by all the restaurants and shops. We love this home!

The house is darling and located is just a couple of blocks from the beach. We loved that you can walk everywhere with never using your car. The things we loved about the house were the kitchen, master bathroom the closets and upstairs deck with a view. The things we didn’t like were there was no dinning table inside only up three floors on the deck or a small wooden table by barbecue. A lot of the windows are very hard to open because the cranks are broken especially in the downstairs bathroom can’t open that one at all. The pillows need to be replaced but the beds we’re comfortable. The property manager was very good about handling a problem during our stay but I was very surprised she didn’t call us before the hurricane to give us any directions about securing the home and deck or check with us afterwards. We love Carlsbad it is a great little city and the beach there is amazing you can walk it for hours.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful and well appointed Carlsbad home. The house itself exceeded all expectations. Every bit as awesome as the pictures. Few minutes walk to the beach, short drive to Legoland for the kids. Magee park across the street is quite beautiful but does attract a small homeless population, did not feel unsafe but were approached several times so we tended to avoid it in the evenings. So many great restaurants within short walking distance or easy delivery. Every meal we had on the roof top deck with ocean views! I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting an easy and luxurious beach vacation. Hard to imagine a better spot for our family beach vacation.

We love Carlsbad!!! This location was amazing to walk to everything. Located across the street from a church & public park. My daughter loves being able to chase the birds & run on the grass. My only complaint: we came home from dinner one evening to a homeless man on the porch. We didn’t know what to do as we were concerned if we called police he might retaliate & my daughter was staying in the front downstairs room alone so the whole situation made me uncomfortable.

property was in a great central location and on a quiet street within walking distance to town and the beach. We had five adults - so the two bedrooms and pullout couch worked out well. I would stay here again and recommend it to others

For families with small kids (I have a 7 year old and a 3 year old) visiting Legoland, I highly recommend this beach house! It is your private oasis (one block away from the gorgeous, sandy Carlsbad state beach) after a hectic day at the park. Legoland is a 10 mins drive away. The house was extremely comfortable for our family of 4 (space and amenities-wise) and its proximity to downtown Carlsbad cannot be rivaled. Downtown Carlsbad is quite the foodies’ paradise and to have it at our doorstep is a huge plus, especially when traveling with young children.

We loved our stay! The house is in a perfect location. Minutes down the street to the beach access and only a couple blocks from downtown Carlsbad with your pick of shopping and restaurants. The house was fully stocked with all the basic necessities, from beach toys and chairs, to laundry detergent and coffee filters. Only critique is the washer and fridge need a good deep clean. Otherwise, the house was immaculate and we would love to stay again!

We wanted to be close to the water so we could walk on the beach and the house was perfect for that. The beach is gorgeous - clean and wide. We also appreciated being able to walk into the village. The property was even better than we thought it would be - we loved the “his and hers” dressing-rooms! The only thing that would have made it better is to have a dining-table and chairs. We find it awkward to always have to sit at the counter. Perhaps the family room seating area could be a bit smaller - or moved down a bit - to allow room for a small table and chairs. The kitchen was well-equipped with the exception of a kettle and Kelley supplied us with one within hours of our message to her.
