Great stay at this property in Carlsbad. 5 stars. Very clean and open floor plan. Perfect for a family with a dog. Great kitchen with big Island and everything you need for cooking nice dinners. Great communication from the property managers. Will stay here again.

PERFECT STAY FOR A FAMILY TRIP

We stayed at this VRBO for our son’s 4th birthday trip, and it was the perfect home base for our adventures! We visited Legoland, SeaWorld, and the San Diego Zoo, and everything was just a short drive away. The house itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully updated. The big backyard gave our little one plenty of room to run around, and the whole space felt comfortable and inviting. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families looking for a convenient and relaxing place to stay!

Wonderful Location

We had a great stay! Me, my son, my sister, her husband, their 10 yoa son and teenage girls stayed and loved it! I love the open space of living room, dining room and kitchen. Grocery store was probably under a minute walk and Tamarack beach was within walking distance. The location was perfect for me to stay in close proximity of Legoland!

Nice, but with issues.

Property not really ready for occupancy. Stove had burner problem, 2 car garage not cleared adequately, missing light bulbs, ice dispenser didn’t work, tv controls not easily used, garage side door deadbolt can’t be locked, to name some problems. Very difficult driving out of driveway due to busy street. Slow response from management for problem solving. We were not there for vacation but because our house had water pipe leakage and was under repair. Location terrific, nice ocean view, and very nice house. Probably great for short term vacationers. Would have been better if we could have checked place out before committing to rent.

Dog Owners BEWARE! VACASA DOESN'T CARE!!!

The house was fabulous. I will NEVER rent from VACASA again: All texts are automated. I called and spoke to a 'Manager' regarding the gate being left open repeatedly (lawn, garbage/recycle bins) and NOTHING was done about it. I finally emailed two gentlemen I found on the Internet and two signs were produced to hang near gates, however the lawn maintenance still came and the gate was STILL left open. I deserve a credit for having no BBQ as the propane tanks sit on the deck unattached (mentioned to 'manager', no response) ~ I have date photos to prove it. I WILL NEVER RENT A PLACE RELATED TO VACASA AGAIN and I rent all over the place and often.

Large Carlsbad house

Nice large clean house, the kitchen and living room are huge and open. The house is white and bright. Fit 7 of us really well. About a 3 minute drive to the beach. New and updated bath and kitchen.

Nice clean house and yard, as pictured. Poor communication from Host prior and during visit.

Garage depth is very tight. Driveway is barely wide enough for 2 cars. Upon arrival, garbage dumpster was overflowing with trash and ODOR in the garage. The landscaper puts the dumpsters out on Sunday night, except if it’s IN THE GARAGE. We needed more trash bags. Host said more bags would be delivered asap. We never got them. There are NO check-in or check-out instructions. No instructions or tips on how to use the TV, appliances, grill, firepit. The KING bedroom--NO ensuite bathroom, NO sliding door to the yard. One QUEEN bedroom w/ensuite bathroom, sliding door, but no TV. The other QUEEN bedroom has a TV, but no bathroom. The bathrooms have motion on/off lights…nice, except when you shower in the evening, and the lights go off. Not enough dishes, silverware, and glassware. We were constantly washing with a scrubby, no washcloths. The dishwasher does not dry well. Some plates are chipped. Some prep utensils are cheap and bent. There are no shelves in the freezer. The glass table in the nook area is nearly impossible to use in such a tight space. Some barstools are wobbly. The FEW pots and pans provided are not great. The skillet is in terrible condition. No baking sheet. We had some trouble starting the gas stove and oven. The dryer kept shutting off before clothes were dry. The outdoor area is nice. A sprinkler timer schedule would be nice to avoid getting us wet. A complete list of supplies would’ve been helpful, especially beach equipment.

Graduation Weekend

The house was very clean, the one thing was a strong pet odor on the couch. We had to clean it, seemed to help. Something we noticed or we didn’t know how to work properly was the oven took a very long time to heat. The rest of the stay was great beautiful house.

This was a very nice home in a convenient location to a grocery store but on a very busy road. Traffic made it challenging to get out of the drive, but street noise was a non-issue. It had a great backyard for our dog and again very well maintained. It could have used some new/additional glasses as we were constantly hand washing them to keep up with our crew. The gas grill would not light and there was no lighter or matches, so we had to get creative to get it lit. Once lit, it worked great. Overall, a nice stay and would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Beach Bungalow

We loved our stay in Carlsbad. The home was clean and spacious. The yard was well-maintained and big enough for the kids and dogs to play. We really enjoyed the chef's kitchen and outdoor area. I would suggest that the kitchen include a few more items: a cookie sheet/baking pan, foil or plastic wrap, bowls, and more kitchen towels. We always love to clean before we leave, so having a Swiffer or light vacuum would have been helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would love to be invited back.

Ugh. Stay anywhere else

There are a lot of rentals in the area, choose any other one. We spent the bulk of our time cleaning dishes, buying new dishes and waiting for the repair and install of a new dishwasher. The refrigerator wasn't working properly and while they had two small mini-fridge delivered, we had to pack in all of our food which of course caused the mini fridges to basically freeze our food as they're not built for enough food to feed four adults over four days. Since, I've had multiple emails with the management company which have amounted to zero. Literally. Stay. Anywhere. Else.

Beautiful, clean Carlsbad home

We loved this house . Clean, open, and beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. Perfect for our family of 6. Kitchen stocked a bit bare. Has the feeling of a true vacation rental and not borrowing someone’s house. Which we prefer. House is off a Main Street , but getting in and out is no problem. Has great beach chairs for use.

Almost perfect

Many little maintenance issues to solve (some never solved) and a lack of certain necessary house must haves indoors and out. But, house was comfortable and great light and location is wonderful. Loved Carlsbad. With some promises of upgrades and the management/owners heading the list of items that needed attention, this could be a very delightful place.
