Great stay in friendly Carlsbad neighborhood!
We enjoyed the stay immensely at La Cueva! The three bedrooms were perfect for our family of five. It allowed the kids space to spread out and relax after a long drive to Carlsbad, as well as after some long days visiting both Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mtns NPs. The proximity was great for both. The home perfect for preparing meals as well, with everything needed on hand. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Very clean and pleasant stay
We loved our stay here. It was very clean and comfortable. The kids said the beds were comfortable and we really had no issue. Just a solid rental experience. We hit 3 national parks in 3 days - Carlsbad, Guadalupe Mountains, and White Sands. Highly recommend if you stay here. White Sands is a 3 hour drive but we found the timing to be great for a day trip and was the kid’s favorite experience.

Comfortable stay
Location close to groceries, restaurants, gas. Home clean and tidy, some groceries left behind from previous visitors. Toiletries. Towels, detergent, cleaning supplies available. Only issue was that showers didn’t drain properly. Overall great, comfortable stay. Property owner very attentive and available to answer questions.

Perfect
La Cueva was a perfect family base home for our adventures at Calsbad Caverns with our nephews. Spacious, clean, open, very nicely designed and furnished-- one of the better quality rentals we have stayed at. Nice master bedroom and bathroom. All the creature comforts, wifi, kitchen well-stocked. The owner was very prompt with communications. Tucked away in a private neighborhood with the conveniences of Walmart and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend for families and anyone needing a nice place to stay while visiting the sights. Thank you!

Great Family gathering place
Had a great time gathering with family from around the globe in Carlsbad and this property was perfect. Everything was as stated and more. Property was very clean and so many things were made available in the house - especially kitchen for us to celebrate the holidays together. Loved the games too!!! Adrian was always available for questions even during the holidays. Would highly recommend. Noticed in other reviews comments about the neighbourhood. Not sure why as we felt it was just a small town atmosphere AND the next door neighbors were quite nice. Thank you for letting us call your property our home for the holiday!!!

We had 5 adults and two children and this home was ideal. Adrian was very responsive in answering any questions.The home is in an excellent location for access to both Carlsbad Caverns and Sitting Bull Falls.I would highly recommend this home for a vacation.

Great location for exploring CCNP and GMNP
Wonderful, clean, convenient option when staying in Carlsbad to explore the national parks. Quiet location off the main drag, perfect setup for our family of six on our road trip. Owner was responsive and in communication with questions, but we had no major issues with the property. Highly recommended.

La Cueva was terrific!!
We spent 4 days in Carlsbad with our 5 grandchildren, and stayed at La Cueva. It is a beautiful home in a very nice location. It is very near a Walmart superstore, convenient to the Main Street, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils. We were able to park our cars (had to drive 2 cars to hold all of us) in the garage at night. Communication with Adrian was excellent. We have stayed in a number of VRBOs over the last few years, and this was one of the nicest. If we return to Carlsbad with our family sometime, we would definitely hope to stay at La Cueva again!! Thanks!!!

Very pleasant stay and very nice property owner. Full of amenities. Only minor issues such as tiny toilets and a lack of exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Location wasn't the best, but not bad for being in Carlsbad.

Convenient location for Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Parks
The owners are so nice and responsive. The location is great for National Parks. The house is lovely and well kept. But gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the neighborhood isn’t so nice. We would stay again, but we were surprised at the contrast between this home and the others nearby.

Clean and well-maintained home.
This house was clean and well-maintained. Everything was in good working order. There were extra chairs for the dining room table so we were able to seat everyone for Thanksgiving dinner. The only issue we had was that there were no no-slip plastic or rubber mats in either bathtub, and both bathtubs were very slippery. Other than this issue, we highly recommend this house!

We were a bit concerned driving through town that the neighborhood might be a little sketchy...but we were more comfortable once we got to the little housing tract. All of the comforts of home. Very clean. Great for a family.

Could have been a 5 with proper cleaning.
The place was nice and comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of proper cleaning. The gas grill was so disgusting that we bought a small charcoal grill to use for grilling one night. The dishes and flatware, without exception, all had particles of dried food on them which required washing prior to using. The bath mats were stained and matted. I expected to find an immaculate place since the cleaning feed was $150. What, doesn't the rental fee cover having a clean place to stay. Is a cleaning fee just another way to make money. If the owner is paying someone $150 to clean this place, their getting ripped off.

We apologize for the home not being properly cleaned. The cleaning company was notified and feedback was shared with them. We do mention in the house notes located on the kitchen counter to notify us if the home is not properly cleaned so we can have them make it right.

Great Option for Carlsbad
We enjoyed staying at La Cueva. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. We had everything we need and it is so close to the local Walmart shopping for groceries was convenient. Carlsbad Caverns is not far and was an amazing sight to see with our kids.

Lovely open house!
Absolutely loved this house. Super well stocked kitchen, which was amazing for me because I did a lot of cooking. Spices, dishes, pots and pans...only needed to buy the main things. Plenty of extra stuff should you need or have forgotten something. Adrian was absolutely amazing when it came to communication. Highly highly recommend this property!!

terrific home base for exploring the caverns and Guadalupe National Park
This comfortable house is well appointed and about an hour's drive to Pine Springs Visitors Center. It's not that far, but does get "old" when you do it every day for a week! The house is great for a family; everyone has their own space--the washer and dryer and terrific for the frequent washing of dusty hiking clothes! Plenty of towels, sheets and extra bedding and many other thoughtful inclusions like spices in the cabinet.

Great place to stay for visiting Carlsbad and Guadalupe Mts
Nice house in a convenient location, close to Walmart, easy to find. Enough beds for 6, plus there are a couple of air mattresses which you could put in the living room. Plenty of supplies for the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. As others have mentioned, the yard is not very inviting, but that wasn't an issue for us. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful house
The house was wonderful. The beds were comfortable . Tempature was very controllable. Well stocked kitchen. Adrian is very responsive. Quiet and safe. The backyard is not landscaped and has weeds. There is no shade in the backyard. Vertical blinds on the sliding glass door are missing many vanes. There is no DVD player. Overall a great weekend stay.

We have recently landscaped the backyard by extending the concrete patio and gravel. The vertical blinds have been a nuisance and have been replaced with curtains. We thank you for the feedback so we may continue to improve guest experiences.
