  • Property Type: Private 1-bedroom second-floor suite in a century home.

    Access: Fully private entrance at the back of the house. Keyless entry via Smartlock code provided the morning of check-in.

    Bedroom: King bed, clothing storage, TV, seating area, and seasonal A/C. (Optional floor bed available for $60 per stay, suitable for children up to 12 years old).

    MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 2 ADULTS, 1 CHILD

    Kitchenette: Equipped for simple meal preparation. Includes induction cooktop, microwave, bar fridge, toaster, coffee makers (French press & Nespresso), and basic essentials. Note: No traditional oven.

    Parking: Free driveway parking for one standard-sized vehicle. Free street parking is also available.

    Location: 25 minutes to Kanata, 45 minutes to downtown Ottawa.

    Property Notes: As this is a century home, the stairs are steeper and narrower than modern stairs; this unit is not suitable for those with mobility or balance issues. Due to the age of the property, some noise transfer between units may occur.

Such a well maintained suite on a quiet street and a close walk to cute shops and restaurants. The hosts are very proactive and a pleasure to with which to communicate. Definitely would stay again.

Great getaway spot!

Great stay! Very friendly and welcoming host. The space is cozy just as advertised. A comfortable bed ensured a great night’s sleep and the suite was spotless. We highly recommend it. Thanks again Sylvia!

Great place to stay that feels like ‘home’. My mom and I went and they allowed my dog to join which I am so thankful for. They had their place equipped with anything you may need (-: Impressed! If I could offer only suggestion, was to have the name off the different coffee pods’ displayed. This place was above my expectations and would recommend it to everyone, Well done! Will be back again soon hopefully, Many thanks again, Adam and Slyvia :-) Perfect Hosts

Perfect stay

Cute and cozy perfectly described. Everything was as described, clean, comfortable. Excellent communication, we were made to feel welcome and had everything we needed in this charming flat in a nice quiet neighborhood in a quaint town just a short hop from the city. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

As described but….

The hosts were very nice, nice area.The appartement has a bad smell ‘old’The ac is ver badly located and very noisy, 2 feet from the bed, should have been located the opposite side of the room.

Nice Bedroom, Small Unit

The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The bed was soft, but with a firm base underneath. Explanation for check-in and location were thorough and helpful. Minimal but effective communication with owner. Very narrow stairs up to the space. Quirky old building, but lots of charm. A few small spiders got into the building. Kitchenette and bathroom were well supplied. Everything was very clean and neat. Unit is separated from family home by locked doors and thin walls, so sounds and music could be heard during the day, but it was very quiet at night.

Quiet welcoming space

We spent the weekend in this charming loft apartment in Carleton Place so we could see the Springsteen concert in Kanata November '24. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The home is just a few blocks from many local restaurants and small businesses. We enjoyed walking around town and enjoying the historic architecture and views of the river. The apartment itself is small but comfortable. The entryway stairs are a wee bit steep, which is to be expected in an historic house. Everything was very clean and orderly. Lots of natural light, white walls and lots of very healthy, happy houseplants. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows and enough space in the other half of the room to sit & relax and do some yoga. Our hosts communicated with us before and during our stay. Check in was easy and stress free and we felt safe & welcome throughout the visit . If you are a solo traveler or a couple looking for a restful get away near Ottawa, I wholeheartedly recommend this property!

Just what we needed!

The granny suite was just what we needed for a home away from home while we searched for an apartment. The suite was so clean and super comfortable and quiet. We loved how close it was to Bridge street and all the shops and restaurants. Carleton Place is just the quintessential little town with everything and we will definitely be back in the future!

Good choice

This small upstairs unit was clean and cozy. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed for our short stay. The only negative for us was the mattress; it was too soft, kinda like a futon mattress. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay.
